I just love your AK day that Yeti is so cute and your photo's you got of him are to die for LOL

I am thoroughly enjoying your trip report!!!! You have me laughing so hard I could pee my pants (but don't worry I havent....yet) and you and I have the same favorite foods.....ice cream and beer :)

Loving your report! Decided to see if you had one and low and behold you did! :thumbsup2
I liked your "that guy" bit while you waited for the parade. Made me laugh!

Oh...and I like that yours was a sibling trip too!! :-D

I really have to see the Harry Potter movies before I go to Universal in October so I know what I'm looking at when I go to WWoHP! It looks so cool, but I have no idea what anything is supposed to be! :rotfl:

Thanks! Glad I keep you laughing. And if you do have an accident....well....we've all been there (I hope). :lmao:

Seriously, what's better than ice cream and beer?

:welcome:

Glad you came over.

I really have to see the Harry Potter movies before I go to Universal in October so I know what I'm looking at when I go to WWoHP! It looks so cool, but I have no idea what anything is supposed to be! :rotfl:

If you see at least one, you'll be okay. Okay wait, I lied. Some elements of the Forbidden Journey would be lost on you if you didn't see the third. So, you should watch the first three at a minimum. ;)

So we were still exploring Hogsmeade at this point. Jason said that he wanted to try to get something warm to drink, so we decided to stop at the Three Broomsticks. He was still having some pain in his esophagus, but he wanted to see if something warm would help. So, we headed over to the Three Broomsticks.

We had some oatmeal earlier, but we were a little peckish at this point, so we had also decided that we would get something to eat. Because we weren't too hungry, we got a breakfast platter to share. I ordered a butterbeer and Jason got hot chocolate. And our grand total for one breakfast and two drinks?

$22 :scared1:

You know it's a sad day when you can say that Disney's food is cheaper. The breakfast platter was $15 alone at Universal.

So after the girl at the cash register had to YANK the $22 out of my hand, we were shown to our seat.

CIMG3780.jpg

This was our $15 platter. Kind of pathetic, right?
CIMG3781.jpg

Okay, I totally thought that I took a picture of my butterbeer, but apparently I didn't! Bad DISer, bad!!!

The food was okay. Better than most food I've had at Universal, but Disney is still better. I'm biased. The butterbeer was good. It was like drinking butterscotch. That's the only flavor I can relate it to.

After we were done eating, I decided that I wanted to be just like every other person in IOA. I wanted to buy........a........SCARF!!!!!

Okay, realistically, there were two reasons that I wanted to do this. Well three really.

1) I was cold

2) I wanted one

3) Well, everyone else had one!

But me, rebel that I am, trend setter, and all over awesome person. I got a Slytherin one. Yup, Slytherin! And I was like the ONLY person in the park that was wearing one. Forget Gryffindor!

Here I am modeling it later. Told you I was a trend setter!

CIMG3785.jpg

However, I did almost get my hand bitten off when I tried to buy it!

Jason and I talked about what we were going to do at this point. We figured we would come back to Hogsmeade on our second day on Thursday, so we were going to check out more in the park.

So where else would we go. Where else would two siblings, one almost 30, one over 30, no kids with them, go?

SEUSSLAND!!!!!!

CIMG3782.jpg

CIMG3783.jpg

CIMG3784.jpg

We decided to ride the Seuss Trolley! Judge me not!

Actually, I just wanted to get some good pictures. However, at this point it was getting colder and colder too. Even my trend setting Slytherin scarf wasn't cutting it.

Can you believe that the Seuss Trolley was one of the longest lines that we waited in? Partly due to a meltdown that a kid was having on the ride. So, this boy of about 8 was having a meltdown, and absolutely did not want to go on the ride. He was sitting on the train with his family, but didn't want to go. Well, I guess the Universal employees always err on the side of caution, because they didn't start the train. They were talking to the parents. Then this dance started.

Raise the lap bars.

Ask the kid if he wants to get out.

Kid says no.

Lower the lap bars.

Kid starts to freak out saying NONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!

Raise the lap bars.

And it continues.

They did this dance about three times, before the Universal employees pretty much said that they would not send the train until the kid calmed down. So it was calm down, or get off. After about 3 minutes of deliberation, the mom and the boy got off. But then, after they got off, the train got rechecked, dad and other kid says they are going to get off.

Okay. I'm not for kids freaking out, at all. But be decisive people! Be aggressive, be be aggressive!

So finally, we were on the train. It was cold. But I got some good pictures!

Continued in next post:

It was cold when we got off the train. Jason and I had this discussion about Universal and cold. We have actually never been to Universal when it's warm. I recounted all the times that we've gone, and it was true!

So we headed back to Port of Entry to see if we could find something. However, I'm not much in the habit of spending $50 or more on something that I will never wear again. Plus, I'm kind of a pain in the rear when it comes to clothes. I admit, I don't even buy sweatshirts and stuff very often in Disney either!

Well, neither one of us could find something. So we both said we'd brave it.

I never said we were the brightest.

We walked in a few of the shops in Superhero Island first.

Robert Downey Jr., are you in there?

CIMG3795.jpg

CIMG3794.jpg

We were about to head into Spiderman, mainly because we were cold and it's indoors, when the Marvel brigade, or whatever it's called, came down the street. Kind of funny. All they did was drive by, and it was done.

CIMG3799.jpg

Man, if that was Hugh Jackman in there.....

CIMG3800.jpg

CIMG3801.jpg

Kind of anti-climactic really.

So ONWARD!

CIMG3796.jpg

I love the Spiderman ride and the technology it uses. Fun, and every time I've been there it has no line.

After that, we decided to go on The Hulk coaster.

I told you we weren't very bright........

After the ride my eyes were all watery and my hair was all kinds of jacked!

No, I did not take a picture of my jacked up hair! Thank god I had packed a brush! I have no shame, I was totally brushing my hair as we were walking. I'm not one of those mysterious girls. I truly have absolutely no qualms about that stuff. :lmao:

Now we decided to head over to the Universal side. See, I like IOA, but realistically, there isn't that much to do. I wasn't too interested in the Dragon Challenge, because it's like a lot of other inverted coasters. There was NO WAY we were going on the two water rides that were open. So, there really wasn't much else to do.

On our way over to Universal we walked through some of the stores in City Walk. Again, because we are such geniuses, we decided against spending any money on anything, just because we were cold.

We were hungry by now, so we decided to eat at the Whopper Bar. But seriously, it's up this entire flight of stairs, hidden in the back. It's kind of like climbing everest. But compared to the other food at Universal that I've experienced, I would totally climb everest for a whopper! I can trust a whopper.

Apparently, other people aren't big fans of climbing everest for a whopper, because it was empty. But the food was really good. They made it very fresh and it was really good.

After eating, we then headed into Universal.

CIMG3803.jpg

DSCN1256.jpg

I did buy some gloves though. I was cold, and I could totally justify spending $8 on gloves. It helped me a lot, and it was starting to warm up a little bit. We decided first to do....

CIMG3805.jpg

I do like this attraction, I think it's funny. Doesn't make much sense, but it's funny.

After that, it was off to...

DSCN1257.jpg

I wanted a squishie. Not really. But I did run into.....

DSCN1258.jpg

See what I mean about my hair being all wackadoo?

DSCN1259.jpg

Off to ride the Simpson's!

DSCN1260.jpg

DSCN1261.jpg

Right, so we ended up being on the ride with a family from Brazil. For some reason, they were all looking at me like I had three heads. I mean, seriously, I know that my hair was kind of crazy that day, but really?

And in the waiting area, they were all chattering with each other, and looking at me, laughing, chattering. Kind of gives you a complex.

Man, I wish I knew Portuguese instead of Dutch! If these people were from the Netherlands or Belgium, I would at least be able to understand them a bit!

I just ignored it. No big deal. Actually, I lied. I just starting mumbling to myself in Dutch. Yeah, I can speak a language you probably can't understand either! Take that! :lmao:

Jason had never done this ride, and he thought it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it to, but a word to the wise. Do not go on this attraction if you have problems with motion sickness. Jason and I have none of those problems, and we were even feeling a little of it from the ride.

Up Next: Don't eat yogurt and then ride........

Woo hoo for getting your scarf! We all wanted one too but were too cheap to get one. Though I am planning on making a stop at the Universal store at MCO when we're there to maybe pick up a Harry Potter thing or two...:rolleyes1

haha, I totally would've ridden the Seuss trolley too! It looks cute.

I wouldn't have gotten the scarf if it wasn't so cold. But there was kind of necessity behind it too. Plus, I got 20% off with my premier annual pass, which was a nice bonus.

There are so many Harry Potter things to choose from, I found myself in the stores often......

 on the prices and the platter doesn't even look exciting! Am glad you enjoyed the butterbeer.

Ok getting a scarf is justifiable but a Slytherin one, really? :lmao:

Hey, I thought Suessland was built for adults! We are sure going to be spending quite a bit of time meeting Thing 1 and Thing 2 :rotfl:

There's no shame in brushing your hair whilst walking and I think you look just fine in the pic with Homer.

My justification for getting the Slytherin scarf is that it matches more of what I wear.

I can't wait to see your pictures with Thing 1 and Thing 2!

I was actually getting a lot of funny looks for brushing my hair out while I walked, but I didn't care. :dance3:

Goodness on the price of the breakfast platter!!! :scared1:

I like Universal and IOA, but then I'm a roller coaster nut!!! And Kraken at Sea World totally rocks!!!

At least once a week, either DH or I will make a comment about how expensive something is and that it's cheaper at Disney... :thumbsup2

I love roller coasters too! :thumbsup2 The problem for me now is that I worked at Six Flags for six years, so I'm kind of numb to traditional roller coasters. I need the new ones that try different things!

I do the same thing with prices! I went to Six Flags this summer with a friend, and I kept telling her "you know, that's cheaper in Disney World!"

Have you ever gone to Cedar Point in Ohio??? Friends of mine went there last summer and had a blast... But they said the lines were CRAZY long... Like 1 to 1.5 hours waits... :scared1: And they don't have fastpasses!!!

Yup, I've been to Cedar Point a few times. They don't have any kind of fastpass system, so there's no skipping lines. But they do have some really good and crazy coasters!

great updates!!!!! I've only been to Universal for HHN and that was a pretty unique experience with people chasing and screaming at you all night long but one of these trips, I'd like to see it all espeically since brother is working there now!!!

We did used to go to City Walk a lot for their movie/meal deal for $25 which we always thought was a good deal!!

Ok I really have to see the HP movies before October. Because I have no idea what anything your talking about means! :rotfl: All I know is, that butterbeer sounds great!

Seussland is SO cute! I can't wait to see that! I'm not a big fan of super heroes though, so that part looks kind of cheezy to me. :confused3 But the Simpson area looks awesome! Can you really get a Squishie in Kwik E Mart? I love your pic with Homer! :cool1:
