A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

:wizard::tink: prayers and pixie dust that Ana's check up goes well tomorrow

:grouphug: Hugs for her!

I wanted you, Melody and Ana to know I am praying HARD for tomorrows scans to be clear! God Bless you ALL!

(I couldn't find a Blonde angel...)

I will get to this in the report but here is a little spoiler.... I wanted to go to the sea lion show but I totally forgot about it. We were having so much fun talking and just doing what we wanted with no plan that we missed it. I guess it is a good reason to go back. :thumbsup2

Hey, that's not fair! :headache:

You have to RIDE it before checking it off! :lmao::lmao:

We are really looking forward to going back.
There is no way Avy will be able to ride that ride she can't swing because she can't hold her head up I think her air way would be cut off on that ride.
Maybe dh, Jason, my MIL and I may try it but I will have to see it first. They were building it when we last time, so it was hard to see.

Tim, I will be keeping all of my fingers, toes, etc., crossed and saying mega prayers tonight/tomorrow for Ana for her scans. Love you guys.

I'll sick my attack dog on you!!! :dog2:

LOL That's funny! At least your DDs had a real name... Juliana has a few imaginary friends... Acky, Acky Lacky, Renty Centy, & Pink Cinderella. :rotfl:

I don't know where Renty Centy has been recently though? :confused3

I got my fix! :cool1:

RnRC is my favorite ride in all of WDW!

Your parents really stuck it to ya! :sad2:

How about I post a few pics and you skip over that part... ::yes::

Your attack dog? That's not 'Puppy' is it? Tim, I don't think Juliana would be happy to know your telling her dog to sic me.:sad2:

Yup, DD11's imaginary friend's name was cereal. Although I'm quite impressed with Juliana's selection of names! Renty centy? She has a fabulous imagination!:thumbsup2 Also (and this is the former school teacher in me) it's great that she's making up her own rhyming words, it shows that she's already associating similar sounding word endings which will help when she learns to read.:thumbsup2

Oh RnRc rules!:thumbsup2 It's really fun and I love the theming! This past trip was the first time we all rode it together...last trip DD7 was too small to ride. We had a blast on it! You have good coaster taste Tim.:goodvibes

I think my parents permanently scarred me for life by letting me watch Jaws. I don't even like to go in the ocean past my knees! Maybe I need to talk to someone about this phobia...

I suppose I'll have to read your next update through my fingers (like you do in scary movies) until I'm sure the shark pics have passed!

And this is for you sweet Ana, a pink Cinderella.:goodvibes

I've been praying already for great results for tomorrow's scans and told my DD's too and they said they'll be praying as well. You're covered Timmy!:goodvibes

OH my goodness, what an amazing trip you all were having. I'm finally all caught up again. I'm at work, lol, what a great time to catch up on the DIS
Hey.. what's up!! I was just lurking on your TR last night. I guess I should of said hi at least.:confused3 :lmao:

We really did have a great time... Juliana really enjoyed herself.

I just a got brilliant idea .... teach Juliana the song!!! Then you can record it and show it to the rest of us!
I agree -- a BRILLIANT idea!!!
HAHA... that would be funny! You mean you don't want to hear her singing Katy Perry Firework? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I understand.. I was just kidding with ya. ;)

It was a totally different feeling riding laying flat. :goodvibes

Oh man, there is no way I could get Geoff on Manta!! He was angry with me for pushing him on Everest!!
LOL Buy him a beer and tell him to stay while you go on it!! :lmao::lmao:

Your attack dog? That's not 'Puppy' is it? Tim, I don't think Juliana would be happy to know your telling her dog to sic me.
Oh no. That's not Puppy. Come to think of it, I don't know if there has been a Puppy sighting in this TR.:confused3

Oh we play rhyming games all the time. She came up with this name when she was 2. :teacher:

Oh RnRc rules!:thumbsup2 It's really fun and I love the theming! This past trip was the first time we all rode it together...last trip DD7 was too small to ride. We had a blast on it! You have good coaster taste Tim.:goodvibes
Thanks! You too!

I think you need to get to SW and go see the sharks. ::yes::

And this is for you sweet Ana, a pink Cinderella.:goodvibes

Thanks! I'm sure she'll love it! :goodvibes

Thanks to everyone for thinking of Juliana tomorrow. She already knows that we're going and has been stressing about it all day. I will post a quick update in the late afternoon or evening just to let you know what's up. :goodvibes

Hey now I'm up to date with your trip report I have been reading your report over the past 2 hrs and I must say several things 1.I'm in remission to going on 4 yrs with testicular cancer my prayers are with that little cancer survivor 2.The maw room was Awesome!!! 3.when she fell I did the same thing in high school except it was a 8 ft swing and a foot I still have the scar today :sad2: she is a little tropper!! I also go every other year to Disney next yr I will return I will check back tomorrow to c how the little fighter is doing and of course your family love this TR take care and god bless Supergoofy20p

I forgot to mention what happened with Juliana's cousin. If you remember after we hung out with Mel's family on Friday night, on the drive over to GKTW for the Pirates & Princess party, the little guy threw up all over the back of the car. Of course Melody's cousin felt terrible- she couldn't say sorry enough. Well the next day, Mel called her cousin to see how the little guy was doing and he only threw up once. She remembered that he had just gotten the nasal flu vaccine the day before, which has the tendency to make people nauseous especially kids. Luckily for us, Juliana never got sick from this.

Also I was able to upload the short dolphin feeding video to photobucket. I think the problem was I edited it down in iPhoto and it changed the file type. After about 20 sec it gets very bouncy! LOL

Back to the story- I had just gotten off of another roller coaster and stumbled over to meet the girls. By this time the sun was shining and it was turning out to be a beautiful day. I didn't have my camera because of riding on the coasters but SW has some lush vegetation and little waterfalls that I passed and would have loved to take pictures of.

I found the girls and we kept moving... on over to...

DSC00991.jpg

It was like an aquarium with all kinds of fish and sharks leading down to the bottom of the exhibit where you got on a conveyor belt- like the one in Space
Mountain, only flat. You go though the shark tank while sharks are swimming all around you. It was really cool!!!

There were 2 hams in the shark tank.

It was tough to get pictures but these came out pretty good.

We kept moving towards Shamu's Happy Harbor. This was an area that had rides for the kids. I kept eyeing the Sky Tower and hoped we would get a chance to go up and see the views.

DSC00992.jpg

Some landscaping.

DSC00993.jpg

We made it to Happy Harbor and the kids spotted the carousel right away.

DSC00994.jpg

DSC00997.jpg

DSC01000.jpg

We brought the kids to the Shamu coaster.

DSC01006.jpg

After they rode it once, by themselves!!!!, there was no one waiting to get on. I asked the worker (what do you call SW workers anyway? LOL) if they could ride again and he said sure.. off they went again. Can you spot them?

DSC01011.jpg

After they rode it a 3rd time, it was time to get off because there were people waiting for the seats. Mel's cousin told us that he was always scared to ride that coaster and that was his 1st, 2nd, & 3rd times riding it! (Those were also his last! He refused to go on the next time they went to SW! LOLOL)

There were a few other rides the kids went on before it was time to see Believe.. the Shamu Show.

DSC01019.jpg

We got into the theatre a few minutes before the show started. The timing was just working out perfectly.

DSC01020.jpg

Here are some pics from the show..

DSC01023.jpg

DSC01029.jpg

And a video of the whales splashing the crowd!

When the show was over we were like... ummm that's it? Melody's cousin told us since the accident the show has been shorter and they have taken out many parts. We had to see it, I mean when you think of Sea World you immediately think of Shamu, but if we went back I would skip it. We skipped the sea lion show and I wish we saw that instead.

We were getting REALLY hungry so we went to find something it eat.

Continued next post......

We left the Shamu show and stopped at the first place we saw to eat- Mango Joe's. I ended up getting a Fajita sandwich 1/2 steak 1/2 chicken. It was pretty good and they cook it right in front of you. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of it. The kids split chicken tenders and I think Melody had a salad... let me check my notes... Oh wait I don't take notes, I take a LOT of pictures. Most of them just so I remember what we were doing. LOL We had a table outside and while we were eating these guys were walking towards us and we had a little lunch time entertainment.

DSC01032.jpg

We finished lunch and our next stop was on the Polar Express!

DSC01033.jpg

DSC01034.jpg

There were 2 entrances to the ride. One without motion and 1 that had a simulator. Melody, her cousin & the baby went in the non-motion side and I took the little guy & Ana to the motion. We would be able to meet up right past the simulator. We checked the kids height with the worker outside and they both were tall enough.

We made it through the pre-show and were lining up to get on the ride part of the exhibit when 'The Guy' comes over with the stick to check the kids height. Juliana was fine but the little guy wasn't... by a millimeter. I mean his hair was touching.. but they said he couldn't ride. Do you know what happens when you tell a 3 year old who loves trains and this movie he can't ride on the Polar Express? There is a total mental breakdown. Here I am standing with the two of them- one can't understand what's happening and the other one knows exactly what happened and is SCREAMING his head off. After I calmed him down we were waiting to meet up with the girls. While we were waiting...

DSC01036.jpg

Finally the girls showed up and wondered what we were doing. I explained the situation and we all started walking around the simulator... then Juliana & I snuck back to ride it... SHHHHHH we told him we had to go get something. The ride itself was fun and I know rules are rules but there wasn't any reason he couldn't of rode it. It was very tame. Oh well. Juliana & I met up with everyone else and walked through the rest of the exhibit.

Exiting....

DSC01043.jpg

Outside...

DSC01045.jpg

After the fiasco, the boys were getting restless, it was just about 3pm, and both boys needed a nap. Mel's cousin decided to head back home to get the boys to settle down. Melody, Juliana, and I were going to hang around SW a little longer before going over her cousin's house for the evening.

We walked around the lake back towards the Sky Tower.

DSC01048.jpg

We thought this would be a good time to take a ride on the Sky Tower except it was closed due to wind. We really wanted to do ride this but it was out of our control. We did get to see Shamu though!

DSC01051.jpg

SW has a pick a pearl just like Disney.. except they have divers dive down to retrieve the oyster in a big tank. They do dives and pose for pictures too!!!

DSC01054.jpg

There was a walkway over the tank and Juliana wanted to see the big tank so we went up to check it out. The diver was going under, swimming around, taking pictures and then coming back up for air. She saw Juliana watching her and asked Juliana if she liked jewels. She dove down and found a jewel at the bottom of the tank and gave it to Juliana. The girl talked with Ana for a while and was so nice to her.

We walked around a little longer and saw the dolphin nursery. These little dolphins were so cute.

DSC01056.jpg

We checked the map and we pretty much saw everything. While the girls took a potty break, I went into the candy store to look around.

DSC01060.jpg

Everything looked really good but my money stayed in my pocket. We headed towards the exit.

This looked like the Disney trees....

DSC01063.jpg

We had a wonderful time in Sea World. It was a nice change of pace from the Disney parks (who is gonna flame me for this statement? LOL) We drove to Mel's cousins house and saw this Christmas decoration near their house.

DSC01064.jpg

We just laughed at it and were both thinking, we are not in Connecticut anymore!

We had a great Italian dinner of pasta with homemade sauce and bread. Once again I didn't take pics... is it rude to take pictures of dinner while you are a guest in someone's house? HaaaHaaaa.

After dinner, the kids opened up their Christmas gifts.

And finally a little dessert thanks to Kathy & Marv!

What do you know... the pink one.

DSC01072.jpg

It was so fun spending the day with Mel's family but it was getting late and we had a 40 minute drive to get back to GKTW so we called it a night. We made the drive back, got Juliana to bed, and got our bags ready for our last day in Disney.

I posted this at 10:11pm-

Thanks everyone for following along while we are here. Posting from my phone is tough, that is why I am not responding to each of your posts... but I am reading them all. We had a great day today at Seaworld and we are looking forward to our last FULL day tomorrow. We will be spending the day in MK. We will finally get to see Wishes tomorrow night!:woohoo:

Up next... Melody & I surprise Juliana & MK!!!!!

Best of luck tomorrow, hope everything goes smoothly!
thank you!

:welcome:

Thanks for reading!!!! :goodvibes

Congratulations on being in remission! Juliana is 3 1/2 years! Not far behind you. :goodvibes

The villas at GKTW are gorgeous! The whole place is just amazing!

Oh man... sorry to hear about your incident. I think we all have a story like that. I have scars on my face from a car accident when my face and the rear view mirror and front windshield weren't friendly to one another. :scared1:

Thanks for thinking of her! I will post an update in the evening. :goodvibes

Love the update, we love Sea World! The Believe show is being re-done in a couple months, maybe it will be a lot better then? Love the Dolphin pictures!

fun update, and I bet it was a fun change of pace. It's ok, you can like both, I won't flame you. I mean I like apples, and I like oranges!

Well not really. I like apples MUCH better but...

:rotfl:

Seriously though, it looked like a fun day and I'm glad you snuck back onto the Polar Express. The E's would LOVE that!

Thinking of you guys tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[SIZEWe thought this would be a good time to take a ride on the Sky Tower except it was closed due to wind. We really wanted to do ride this but it was out of our control. We did get to see Shamu though!

Up next... Melody & I surprise Juliana & MK!!!!![/SIZE]

Ah so this is why one of the job postings said they were hiring people 6ft tall!! :rotfl: That's a big shamu!

Loved the new update and I'm glad to hear you liked Sea World. It's ok, you can like all the Orlando theme parks. In fact I bet you are hoping that they open up the Thrill theme park (you can read about it here http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/stories/2010/10/11/daily19.html) so you can call it your favorite park. ;)

I keep telling my sister to check out SW with her girls but I get the comment that it's not Disney so she doesn't care to see it.

After they rode it a 3rd time, it was time to get off because there were people waiting for the seats. Mel's cousin told us that he was always scared to ride that coaster and that was his 1st, 2nd, & 3rd times riding it! (Those were also his last! He refused to go on the next time they went to SW! LOLOL)
I guess that means you're just going to have to take Juliana back so that she can ride with him again.

Everything looked really good but my money stayed in my pocket. We headed towards the exit.
I congratulate you on your will power. :thumbsup2

is it rude to take pictures of dinner while you are a guest in someone's house? HaaaHaaaa.
I'm sure there's some type of proper etiquette answer on that somewhere, but I've got to say, that's the first time I've ever seen this question asked.:rotfl2:

It looks like you had a great day and a great meal with Mel's family. I look forward to reading about the last Disney day, I hope it turns out to be very magical.

I'll be thinking about Juliana today... I look forward to hearing some good news later.
