The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Pat those pix are great!! I like the more candid ones, for sure!! :thumbsup2

Hmmmm... a surprise! I likey!!

The candids are always better but not when I have my mouth contorted in some odd way, which I why I like candids of others better. :lmao:

It was a surprise, but I was not surprised to see it. :confused3:rolleyes1:eek::sad2:

the day seemed to have improved quite a bit after the face in the back pack (looks scary!!)!! You seemed to do quite well with all the rides you got in that day! And I love the lights in China, got a picture of them myself! :goodvibes

The day started out scary ( the backpack face ) and dreary( rainy and damp)
but it cleared up and got cooler as the day went on. You will see us wearing more clothes as the day and the rest of the trip went on. :cold:

Those lights in China were unique. :goodvibes

So true! I struggled with my hair the whole trip, and that became the big joke with pix. Better someone else look crappy! :lmao:

The slightest bit of humidity and mine goes in a pony tail. If I don't I look like Rosannerosannadanna. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Now if I could just keep my mouth shut when having pictures taken.

A cliffhanger! Are you typing an update right now, I see your green light!

During that drizzle of rain we were on the ME, saying good-bye to Disney. Sigh. :sad1: Leaving on the ME during rain just makes the mood even worse. IT was NOT fun. Thankfully we still weren't headed home, but to New Orleans instead!

How was the food in China? We've never eaten there.

Your PP pictures are awesome!!! :rotfl: I love the "mid word" one! ;)

I am trying to play catch up. It seems like I catch up on one thread and another one goes crazy. :rotfl2:

The skies were crying because you were leaving, how sad.:sad1: But going to New Orleans :cool1: I am going to NO in Oct for my annual conference. I may have questions...

I have had better, much better but we were hungry so it hit the spot.

See, you have competition for worst photo. :rotfl2:

In this "very special episode" we encounter one of the treasures of Disney World. It is not an exhibit or ride or show. In fact it not the kind of thing you can put on your touring plans. It cannot be planned, you just have to be lucky.

We are sitting by the inside wall trying to stay warm and dry and are happily eating our meal. Suddenly B tells me to look over to the other side. There were some loud people, young people, of legal drinking age but young, who apparently were drinking around the world. B is so observant, she points it our first. We watch.

The guys are standing up and you can see their beverage of choice is on the table to the right. The girls they are with are at the table. Apparently in the above photo they decided they need food. They are bordering on obnoxious.

EPCOTdrunksinchina210110.jpg

In the above photo you can see one of the girls is trying to get her beverage down. It is apparent that they started in Canada and were almost done. The guy in the foreground is finally looking back at them since they are causing ruckus. We almost said something. In fact either A or B wanted one of the Asian men to do something and was kind of irritated when they did not.

I see the beginning of us hitting the wall. We were tired. Maybe just a little bit cranky too. I would not classify this as a meltdown or tantrum, thrown or otherwise, ;) but A and B were getting annoyed at their behavior.
I, on the other hand, was slightly amused, because in reality they were not bothering anyone other than being loud and well, I saw the opportunity for a great TR story.

Now at some point the guys are now talking to the CM’s, 2 Chinese girls who found them amusing. One of them was humoring them, I guess to get them to move along while the other was just staring at them and giggling at her friend.

EPCOTdrunksinChina410110.jpg

At some point the guys were asking the Chinese CM how to spell their names in Chinese and some basic words. I think she tried teaching them “Goodbye” so they would take a hint.

They eventually gather their stuff and moved on- at that point we assume Norway, since it was next. They stumble on out and the place gets quiet.
All 3 of could see the wall, it was coming but I think we may have been waiting for our FP window to open up?

We finish up our meal and head out. As we pass Norway, guess what ? We see “our friends" again.
Can you?

One of the girls is by the Viking church and “hiding”.
In case you can’t see her I enlarged her.

Here comes the rest of the gang. Notice beverages in their hands and to the far right of the photo a puppet.

Notice our guys now. They stop to talk to the little girl holding the puppet that you can buy in China.
They proceed to play with her puppet for a few minutes. They DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE. :rotfl:

I hope they finished their mission since they only had Mexico to go. ;)

The moral of our "very special episode"? Recognize the situation early and take pictures and notes to share. :rotfl2:

If this sounds familiar I did share this on Jordan's thread shortly after I returned from our trip.

However, this was not the only odd sight that day.

:lmao:

I very much understand that feeling! ;)

I think your attitude about this incident was great! It is so easy to get irritated by other guests at WDW (and there are these long threads about this on the Theme Park board to prove the fact), but it is much better to just observe and laugh about it! As long as nobody really harms you there isn't really anything that would take anything away from you!

I really seem to avoid the World Showcase during crowded times, it will be interesting to experience it during F&WF on my next trip! I would imagine similar groups of people can be seen then...

I am trying to play catch up. It seems like I catch up on one thread and another one goes crazy. :rotfl2:
Truer words........
I have had better, much better but we were hungry so it hit the spot.
I agree! We felt the same about the QS in China when we ate there a few trips back. We did enjoy Nine Dragons when we ate there before though!
Are you ready for a very special episode?????
The ultimate teaser......bump the curiosity level AND bump to the top of the next page!!! :thumbsup2
but A and B were getting annoyed at their behavior.

Amazing the heightened sensitivity to things around you when there is a TR in the offing..... :lmao:
At some point the guys were asking the Chinese CM how to spell their names in Chinese and some basic words. I think she tried teaching them “Goodbye” so they would take a hint.
At that point I wonder if a 2 x 4 would have done the trick???:confused3
We finish up our meal and head out. As we pass Norway, guess what ? We see “our friends" again.
Well of course....nothing else would work in this story...... :rotfl2:
Notice our guys now. They stop to talk to the little girl holding the puppet that you can buy in China.

I bet the little girl thought the attention was cool to start with. Bet her parents were getting concerned though....

Sadly I think I am still at that stage that I would stand and watch all of this unfold and THEN go......shoot, I should have taken pictures. I have a story from our DHS day coming up that was totally unexpected and happened too fast to take pictures, but hopefully I will be able to do it justice anyway! :rolleyes1
However, this was not the only odd sight that day.
I'm guessing you're not talking about the backpack again....

Those guys and girls were having their fun. Sure they were kind of loud but they were not destroying anything or using foul language of any sort so I was content to just watch them.

During Food and Wine you will see more of the same. Especially Friday , Saturday nights.

I just remembered I actually have another drunk story but from another trip. That was more a cute story than a :scared1: story.

The ultimate teaser......bump the curiosity level AND bump to the top of the next page!!! :thumbsup2

I can be trained. :thumbsup2

Amazing the heightened sensitivity to things around you when there is a TR in the offing..... :lmao:

Between B being observant and Jordan's drunk stories I almost felt lucky to see them. :lmao:

At that point I wonder if a 2 x 4 would have done the trick???:confused3
They would have started a baseball game. :headache:

I bet the little girl thought the attention was cool to start with. Bet her parents were getting concerned though....

I was a little worried they were going to try and take the puppet. But they were not those kind of drunks. :rolleyes1

I have had MANY of those moments but after reading TR's and realizing I have seen some of those same sights but failed to get evidence to share.
Now i always have the camera out ... just in case. :rotfl2:

I'm guessing you're not talking about the backpack again....

Nope, something far scarier. :scared1:

Well...that was an interesting encounter. I'm not sure if I would have been like A and B or you. I definitely would have had the camera out!

I can't imagine something being scarier than that backpack face!

ahh nothing like finding a thing while there and thinking instantly that it will make good TR material.

I think A and B were just hitting that wall. Being a seasoned vet ;) I still had energy and saw the humor in it. They were funny to watch and they were far enough away that they were not being sloppy drunk all over people or using foul language so Let 'em drink!!! :rotfl:

I can't imagine something being scarier than that backpack face!

I am not sure about scarier but definitely different. :scared1:

I love how you photographed this whole thing! :rotfl: And yes, when TR fodder happens, and not to yourself, you know it's pixie dust! ;)

Hilarious about the one CM teaching them "goodbye". She's slick! :rotfl2:

The skies were crying because you were leaving, how sad.:sad1: But going to New Orleans :cool1: I am going to NO in Oct for my annual conference. I may have questions...

I will try to answer them!
