Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! Nemo had an awesome day, and we'll be having a family party on Saturday that he's really looking forward to. Since we love all things under the sea, I'll be making a Spongebob cake. If I'm successful, I'll post pictures. :lmao

It's been crazy here. MJS and I are in perfect agreement on something, though. By the time this vacation rolls around, we are going to need it.

We put in our mortgage application this week, and our appraisal is scheduled for Tuesday. If everything goes well, we'll be closing on the house at the end of March.

It's amazing to think of how much has changed this year, things that have made us sad, happy, and grateful all at the same time.

We've got a family party for Nemo today at my aunt's house, and I'm hoping after that I'll be able to get a real vacation post in. It's time to seriously start talking about this trip again and build up the excitement level!

To all my Disney valentines, I humbly offer you a post that's actually about my trip!

Which I am sooooo in love with. I don't know that I've ever been so in love with a trip. Not in a long, long time anyway. It's just that MJS and I are so excited to have this family time, down time, relaxation time, whatever you want to call it.

And even though I'm very pirate about the whole thing, I still do have some idea of how it might all go down.

And I'm going to share that all with you now.

We depart on Saturday, May 28. Our flight gets in around 315, 330. Something like that. Yes, I realize I'm a little too relaxed about this, but don't worry, I'll make a real itinerary at some point.

Our hope is to make our way to CBR, get checked in, and then head off to the Magic Kingdom. Now as far as non plans go, these are, in fact...plans. And the reason they are is because when I mentioned to MJS about possibly going to a different park on the first day, the man gave me an eyebrow slap...you all know what that is, right? When your spouse / significant other looks at you with raised eyebrows and withering stare which means, have you lost your mind? Not go to the Magic Kingdom on the first day, woman? Let's not get TOO relaxed, savvy?

It's possible that if my little nuggets are not too tuckered out from our day of travel that we'll meet up with CharlestonPrincess and her clan and hopefully watch The Main Street Electrical Parade. Now, I did say that I don't really have any must dos for this trip, but I have to say, I do feel pretty strongly about seeing this parade. There's something about that music, that particular parade...it just makes me feel like a kid again. And in the whole, gosh, I'd really love to see it is also, gosh, I'd really love Nemo to see it. If it doesn't happen this night, I'd like to try to squeeze it in somewhere.

This is one of the reasons that I'm so glad we decided to upgrade to park hoppers. There's a certain freedom to discussing the things we'd like to do when you know that you can hop, and you don't just have one shot at any given park.

Prior to possible parade viewing (God, I love alliteration) we partake in a perfectly palatable nosh. Now, normally, hands down, without a doubt, we'd go to Casey's. The problem is that I'm not sure it's an allergy friendly place for me. Honestly...I'm not really worried about it. Even though it is a TK clan tradition, I have no problem grabbing a schnecken from somewhere else and bringing it to Casey's so my sweet family can partake in all those happy nitrates otherwise known as the best hot dog ever.

Never mind the cheese sauce. Which I'm praying is so artificial it doesn't contain real cheese. Because missing out on that will just be a travesty.

The Day 1 plans sound great (minus the Casey's--I've never understood the fascination with that place...we tried the hot dogs twice and both times I got really bad heartburn on them).

I am so sorry we missed the Electrical Parade last September...I remember it fondly from our trips when the boys were little.

Thanks! We just love Casey's, but you know what? It's not for any fancy reason. It's just that I don't really eat hot dogs, and they taste awesome. You know why?

Because you're on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom when you eat them. Listening to the piano player outside.

Much like a Dole Whip tastes sooooooo much better when you're happening upon a Pirate Tutorial.

I, for one, really hope seeing the parade works out since it would be with yours truly! Really, it will absolutely take you back to your childhood as soon as the opening synthesizer music starts. I am telling you, if you are anything like me, you will feel like a four-year-old again.

If not, I do believe there might be some stormtroopers calling our name! I am thinking you and me and a bevy of troopers might just make a great picture. LOL! But we will discuss that more when you get to your second day non-plans.

Casey's for dinner -- yum! We have an ADR for GFC that night, but it's early. I want to say like 5:00ish or 6:00ish.

Oh, and I definitely think Squirt's first park should be the MK. Have to start his Disney "memories" off right.

I haven't tried the hot dogs at Casey's. I am not a hot dog lover.

We missed the MSEP because we were trying to fit in a few more rides before Wishes... and you KNOW we weren't missing that!
