Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

:rotfl:Now, why would you ever think that? :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

:hug:Yes thanks for meeting me, being the less traveled of the bunch and having only been to WDW once before, the Orlando airport proved to be a bit overwhelming for me, along with finding ME and then switching gears and looking for a restaurant in a resort I had never stepped foot in :rotfl2: frazzled is a nice word to use :rotfl2:

I'm glad you got this chance to become more familiar with where to go at MCO. :thumbsup2

After a quick freshen up I was very anxious to meet up with Tracy, who was the first spectrum mom I had ever had a DIS connection with.

Awwww.... Who would have guessed all that time ago we'd end up together on this trip? :yay:

yes we all felt so bad...:guilty: but glad we got it figured out quickly and made it to the Studios for the official FUN to begin!

It worked out! If I'd met you all back at the Villa instead, who knows how long before we would have finally headed out? Although Heidi was great at keeping us on track.... :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 so yes myself (Julie), Amy. Anne Marie and Jess all had VB bags. when we were in line for security ck at DHS this lady in front of us asked if we had "robbed" the VB outlet before arriving :rotfl:

 I hadn't heard that either!

Looking forward to more silliness!

Hi! Oh there will definately be more silliness!

Yeah, it's not gonna happen...:rotfl2:

:lmao:

Thank you for all the wonderful pictures Tracy! :thumbsup2

Just like our readers, I love hearing the different perspectives. :goodvibes

I am so enjoying your report - its like having a 7-in-1 report as everyone chimes in with their perspective :thumbsup2

so here are some thoughts....

A few more bus waiting picture to share...

And this was an ongoing theme taking pixs on the buses to and from:

I had not seen B&B show since my 1994 trip...it had been quite awhile so this was a fun treat, wow it was packed as Amy had mentioned and we got front row in the overflow bleachers in the back. I must really stress how PACKED it was down Sunset Blvd...it was making me a bit nervous not so much we couldn't accomplish our wish list for the night...but this trip was also "research" my family is planning on a mini 4-5 day trip next yr Jan and I thought Jan = no crowds :confused3 would this be an ongoing issue?

I was beyond excited to be going on ToT and RnRc w/ these ladies...my husband is a non thrill seeker and right now only my DD B likes BTMRR...I couldn't wait to get in that elevator and :scared1:

Here is another little detail pix from the queue line and you can see some refurb barrier in the background too:

100_8923.jpg

Now as we have mentioned Jess was not going on ToT w/ us...she was a bit scarred:

100_8926.jpg

and that icky bio spill...oh man it truly was nasty, so nasty Amy reverted to sniffing...

100_8928.jpg

:rotfl:

seriously we were using any hand sanitizer we had to just get the smell out of our airways...I also spotted a nod to my home big-town in the inner queue:

100_8927.jpg

This ride was so beyond great...:woohoo: like tracy I was lauging and screaming away too too fun...I could feel my body, bag and water bootle just rising up w/ each drop...I was pretty pumped for whatever was next...

on to RNRC:

100_8929.jpg

can you believe this was to be my SECOND ever trip on this fast cruising limo :cool1: I was so hopping to ride w/ Amy on this one...but we knew single rider line would be the way to go. That pix Amy posted of me earlier oh yeah she was trying to catch my jumping air guitar

After our pretty long wait in the queue and knowing boy I had to pee...sorry lots of us needed to...no unneccesary bio spills... we hoped we'd get on soon...as I got closer I was chanting front car! could I be so lucky? well as I was placed in row 2 I was pretty close, but then by pure Disney luck this Father asked me if I was alone and I said yes he said I could ride w/ his DD in the FRONT CAR...can you say SHOT GUN!

that was one fun ride!

I was having a BLAST and we weren't even done yet!

Tracy really got some amazing B&B pictures, so I'm just going to roll along and post my best TOT picture which was a hidden mickey I found right before we got to that HORRIBLE smell in the que
Spectrummoms2011023.jpg

I was so excited to find it, lol, and it will probably be the last time I ever get to look for any in the TOT que

Yes I think we all made a mad dash for the bathroom after RnR which would become part of our touring theme as I think we visited most of the bathrooms at WDW:rotfl2: Hey at least I know where to find one when my kids need to head to one quickly next month

Seriously... There were A LOT of bathroom breaks... Julie leading the way to most of them. I was happy to follow along since I'm usually the one who has to go most often. :rotfl:

We could have named this report "Spectrum Moms take on the bathrooms of the World!" :rotfl2: But what do you expect from 7 moms who have all had at least two children! :rolleyes1

I'll echo the sentiments of loving hearing everyone elses perspectives. :thumbsup2

Unlike Tracy, I was not a big photo taker on this trip. On my family trips I am but everyone else had their cameras out and were snapping away so I was content to watch everything and soak it all in. I think I took only 50 photos total to most others hundreds.

I will agree with Julie, I was surprised by the crowds. It seemed as busy if not busier than summer. We saw countless tour groups and they were HUGE!

I was waaaaaaaaaay behind, but now I'm all caught up - this is a FANTASTIC TR! I am really enjoying all the different perspectives and stories!

Kathy - congrats on the 2 WEEK family trip!!! :dance3: Also on the Billy & Mommy trip!!

Today we received our Photopass CD! Here's a little sneak peek of what's to come... :goodvibes

Love this! Through your pictures and story telling I can feel the friendships between you ladies, it's wonderful! I bet no one would have ever known you had just all met in person for the first time.

:lmao: Hilarious!

yes Amy dubbed a theme song for the 4 days as "potty all the time" and then so funny after she made it home she texted me a pix of the radio in her car and the actual song "party all the time" was playing :lmao:

I did have to use the ladies room quite a bit :rolleyes1 Kathy even joked at me I needed a certain medication

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: I totally forgot about that!! Tim's car has Sirius and he always plays the 80s station for me. I just about died when "Party All the Time" came on!

You ladies look like you are having the time of your lives! So fun!

Tracy...your pictures are AMAZING! I have the same picture taking sickness so I can relate. I keep telling myself the same thing about not taking so many, but I know how quickly my memory fades even now and I want to have these memories forever! So....snap away girlfriend! :thumbsup2

Amy....I love your sniffing strategy! Good thinking! :rotfl:

I am so enjoying all the different "views" of this trip...keep it coming! :)

 Thanks! I sometimes get the eye rolls from my family as they turn around while walking to see me running to catch up with them after I've tried to sneak in more pictures..... but they always enjoy looking at them when we're home!

My first ever redneck picture!

Is it just me or does that kid have freakishly long arms???

Great updates ladies! You look like you are having a fabulous time and I can't wait to hear more, more, more!!

Yes, that kid has freakishly long arms! Wow!!

Sara

Yeah, it's not gonna happen...:rotfl2: It's not like I never went on it before and chickened out, I went on it on my honeymoon and said never again :lmao: I just don't like heights and you bounce back up way too many times:scared1: I even get nervous riding in real elevators

I am loving all the updates. I can't ride the really intense rides either. ToT and RnR just don't agree with me. That is what makes Disney great though, there is plenty of fun for everyone. I really love Toy Story Mania, lots of fun :rotfl:without any motion sickness.

Your playing my song....

Hi Nancy!! (Dreamer&Wisher)

Just noticed your new ticker... congrats on your pregnancy!! :goodvibes

Kathy

Thank you Kathy, yesterday I got my first ultrasound and baby looks happy and healthy!

Ladies - Great updates on the start of your HS visit. You got some fantastic photos of ToT and BATB. What's up with the scaffolding on the ToT? Is that how the paint it or maintain the exterior? It just looks weird.

Your ToT ride looks like so much fun. I hope we all ride together in my upcoming girls trip. I think that ride is so much more fun with a big group of people.

Looking forward to more adventures!

Day One, Continued
Thursday, 1/20/11
Disney Hollywood Studios

After dropping and flipping on Tower of Terror and Rock & Roller Coaster respectively, we took off with Tour Guide Heidi leading the way with her imaginary flag! There was an enormous crowd waiting to be admitted into the Hollywood Hills Ampitheater for the first showing of Fantasmic, so we had quite a time getting back up Sunset Boulevard. It seemed like there were a gazillian Brazillians there that day! Dusk was falling; the streetlights had come on and the storefronts and billboards sparkled, giving the entire area a real Tinseltown vibe. How I longed to linger in some of the shops! But, we had our plan and we were stickin' to it (for now).

We turned right, heading toward the Pixar Place Area, and the walkway congestion eased considerably. Here was Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat, newly lit for the evening. Several photopass photographers were available, so we decided to stop for a picture while there was still a bit of light left in the sky.

After that, we moved on toward One Man's Dream. This was something we really wanted to experience as adult travelers because we all agreed: you never seem to have enough time to explore this attraction properly when the kids are along. Oh sure, they're fine for about five minutes... then the whining always starts..."Can we go DO something now?"

027.jpg

I couldn't decide which I was enjoying more; touring the attraction kid-free or watching my fellow travelers do the same! Here are some of my pix... I know the others have many more to share.

After browsing the fascinating exhibits documenting Walt's legacy of animation, we gathered in the theater to view the accompanying film. I admit it... my eyes were misty by the end! Such a Disney Geek!

To be continued....

Kathy

OMG!!!! (and I don't use that very often ;)) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pic of you ladies in front of the hat--it is fabulous with a capital F!

I hope you got a group pic in front of each of the 4 major icons...that would be so fun :)
