DREAMS really do come true! 1/30 4-day Cruise Report with Tons of Photos! Video done!

Whoa...those last shots of the Cabanas breakfast totally got me out of 'lurkdom'.

I LOVE breakfast and what an amazing spread they have. Those Ham/Cheese Croissants have my name on them among other things.

My DD (age 13) and I are sailing on the 2/20 Dream and your report is THE BOMB! :thumbsup2

We'll both feel like we know what to expect and will be able to take full advantage of the ship because we have studied your fabulous report. Love the details!!

Sounds like you totally deserved this trip.

Thank you Cass!!

Cass, your report and photos are amazing. I am loving every installment and can't wait until my June cruise. Thank you!!:worship:

Pirate Night Buffet in Cabanas

I didn't eat any of this food...we had just finished dinner just an hour or so before but I took pics of course ;)

This was the only time I saw the buffet really busy...they only had the one side open and there were tons of people! I didn't get pics of the Made-to-order Crepes because there was a big line up and I just couldn't squeeze in :sad2:

It was as if people hadn't eaten in a few hours :rolleyes1 :scared1:

I will say that if I wasn't still full from Palo, I would have maybe tried a baked potato :goodvibes

Oh...just remembered something that made me laugh while I was taking photos....there was this lady standing at the make-your-own-taco area and she put a taco shell on her place and proceeded to hand it to one of the CM's behind the buffet. He was so puzzled, you should have seen the look on his face when she proceeded to tell him what she would like on her taco!! His english wasn't at all great but he tried to explain to her that SHE had to make her own taco. Well, this lady rolled her eyes and grumbled something about having to make her OWN taco! SHEESH!!

OK, I am finally done with Cabanas :lmao:

Next up....Flo's Cafe :thumbsup2

EWWW! I don't think I would WANT someone to make my Taco. That was weird on her part. :confused3
I don't think this buffet looks as impressive. It would need much more chocolate for me to eat after just eating. :goodvibes

One quick thing before bed....this is for Paige (disgrits)....

I asked a dining manager if they were ever going to have Brunch in Remy and he said no. Basically, they want to keep Remy (the room and the experience) very exclusive so unless you have a reservation, you can't even get into the room :snooty: :lmao:

Bummer!

Cass.....I have my Cain 8504 pics ready...let me know if you want me to post them in this thread or start another...

Flo's Cafe Part 1

This the fast food area of the ship, just like Plutos/Pinocchio's/Goofy's Galley on the Magic.

I spent a lot of time here :rolleyes1

I ate lunch there every single day and I sometimes wish I had more days to enjoy more lunches here LOL!

I really don't like the whole wheat buns and I am still waiting for Disney to get rid of those....but I am SUPER DUPER mad that they got rid of the Ken's honey dijon dipping sauce

That was the best part of eating chicken strips on the ship!!!!!!!!!!! The other dips they had there were thoroughly disgusting!!

I still managed to tolerate a few strips and maybe a burger and a hot dog too!

The burger was actually really really tasty and the chicken strips were some of the best I have ever had!

I was really worried about all those food places being right together like that but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Yes, if you go at peak times, there will be a line but they were good about helping the next person as fast as possible. Often, if the wait was long, it was mostly because of the guests...either not knowing what they wanted or changing their minds or just being slow in general.

I did notice the pizza place was closed most times I wanted to try it out and I had to make a point to go down when I knew it would be open just to try even though I wasn't all that hungry.

I wasn't thrilled with the pizza but then again, I don't really like Disney pizza...never have. So if you like the pizza on the old ships, then I think you will like this too.

The tables were practically all full every time I went, usually I had to wander a bit to get an open table. The big thing here was that it was a pain to go all the way down past the Mickey Pool to get drinks. Because it was just me, it wasn't a big deal...I would just go get a drink first and then get in line for some food then grab a table but I can see that it would be a problem if I had Kira with me and I had to carry two plates and two drinks. I think DCL might get a few complaints about this one!

OK, here's some pics of the area...

On the other side of Flo's is where the ice cream is located. I'm not a sweets girl (gimme my carbs baby!) but I did try a little with some caramel topping on it. :thumbsup2

The good about this one is that there are two machines, spaced apart well, not like the Magic.

Coming up next....(I'm starting to feel like Chris Harrison )....in the most dramatic rose cere.....ummm.....the rest of the food I saw around the ship :rolleyes2

I cannot even begin to tell you how relieved I am they have the Turkey & Cranberry Ciabatta sandwiches!

Thank you so much for posting all the food porn pics!

Ok, I am crazy sick, laying here in bed trying to keep a fever down and to stop coughing but... DARN!!! I can't tear myself away.:charac2:

Awesome Cass! Lovin the food porn!!

MMMMMMMMM

Nooooo.....I don't go anywhere near anything that comes from the sea...unless it's highly battered fish :rolleyes1

Kim had the cheesecake and I don't recall if she liked it or not. Perhaps Deb (who is a DISer) will remember if she liked it or not and will chime in here ;)

Oooooooh Deb......

No seafood for me either. I'm a meat and potatoes girl.
But Bob and Sean will be happy with all the seafood I've seen on the menus.:goodvibes

Other Food

The District at night...I walked by on 3 different evenings and I think they had the same thing every night....this was from the second night.

And now for the all important....drink stations!!! :lmao:

There are two of them....one on each side of Mickey Pool/Nemo's Reef. They are nice and big and they did a great job with these!

There's TONS of seating in, around and behind both drink stations so keep that in mind if you have kids and you are getting food at Flo's...grab the food and then come down closer to the Drink Stations for a table :thumbsup2

amazing

now we have to go back and look at all those rooms again to decide what level we want.

ok who are we kidding - we want Walt's suite ;)

I think it's weird that Disney has watermelon with seeds. I love watermelon, but in this day and age rfuse to buy any with seeds. LOL! :lmao:

Also how about the chocolate covered strawberries. Are they free? or are they in one of those places where it will ocst you something. If they were free I would be asking for the whole tray!
