The food by the way was TRES FANTASTIQUE!!!!!!!! It was probably the best dining room food I have ever had on DCL. The potato soup was out-of-this-world good as was the tenderloin (potatoes were just OK) and the Brownie Cheesecake was yummy yummy yummy!!! Can't wait to eat there again!!

More restaurant pics in the next part.....

Love the new look of AP with the wood in there. Looks classier.

Did you try the shrimp cheesecake? If not, did the person who ordered it like it? I'm not sure about that one.

Animator's Palate Part 3

I never got to take photos of the whole restaurant that night because I was too darn busy laughing and having a fabulous time but I did get some photos during the next 3 days...and here they are!

Animator's Palate is located at the end of the longest hallway on the Dream (according to the ship tour!)

Along the left side of that hallway (sorry no pic) make sure to take note of the sketches...they are sketches of princesses (and other Disney leading ladies) in different stages before their final versions that we know and love. ;)

The restaurant was absolutely GORGEOUS and is my new personal fave! Instead of having the stations all around the restaurants, the serving staff now have...what I call little closets...to place all the meals in when they get them from the galley....the also have their own drink stations in the closets too! Very clever but harder the get their attention if you need something because they are out of the main dining area.

I really can't wait to show Kira this restaurant and I just know that Rob will absolutely love it like I do!!! :goodvibes

Did you try the shrimp cheesecake? If not, did the person who ordered it like it? I'm not sure about that one.

Nooooo.....I don't go anywhere near anything that comes from the sea...unless it's highly battered fish :rolleyes1

Kim had the cheesecake and I don't recall if she liked it or not. Perhaps Deb (who is a DISer) will remember if she liked it or not and will chime in here ;)

Oooooooh Deb......

You'd do fine her in WI then. The fish is very fried here. Friday night Fish Fries are everywhere.

Enchanted Garden Part 1

This was our second night dining rotation restaurant and I was looking forward to it. All the photos I saw before I left were great and I knew I would like this one. The photos really don't do it justice because it's even more beautiful in person!

We found out that we were moved from table 104 to 50 so we could be served by Corinne and Luis and this made our night even better!!

The whole ambiance was breathtaking! It does look quite different at night compared to the day but you really only notice if you are there, standing in the middle of the room looking around.

The company was fantastic....the service was phenomenal but I honestly didn't care for the food. Keep in mind that I am a picky eater. I don't like really fancy food...I am a meat and taters kind of girl so just because I didn't love it, doesn't mean the average guest wouldn't like it.

I did really like the topping part of my potato!! lol

Let's start with the food!

A quick shout out to Deb and Kim for being sweethearts and letting me paparazzi their food before they could devour it

Royal Palace Part 1 Dinner

Our third night was supposed to be at RP but we had Palo booked so we didn't have dinner there until the last night. We planned it so that the only menu we have both experienced before (Pirate) would be the one we missed :thumbsup2

The RP is beautiful, definitely the fancier of all 3. It felt very polished, regal and like the CM on the tour said, just like the prince's ballroom.

I had both breakfast and dinner in this restaurant...let's start with dinner!

I really enjoyed the beef tenderloin but I also ordered the Lamb because I wanted the potatoes that came with it and I am glad I ordered it cus they were phenomenal!!

The baked onion soup was sooo good too! The cauliflower soup was just OK and the vanilla creme brulle was good too!

Breakfast in the next post...

Did you have one of the rounded booths in EG or did you have the normal table?

Also, did someone at your table order from the kids menu or was it from a neighboring table?

This menu looks the best of them all (at least for me). I'd have a hard time choosing. Good thing I get to go there twice in a week. :rotfl:

How did you like the lamb?

Not sure if you've ever tried it, but I will order the main from one offering, the potato from another, and sometimes the vegie from a third. DCL is always accommodating that way. :thumbsup2

I'm with you on that Cass. I and my daughter both are picky eaters and much prefer meat and "taters". But I'm sure we will find something to eat each night. We managed on our Magic cruise in 2007.

Lovin' all the pics!

Royal Palace Part 2 Breakfast

Michelle and I decided we should experience a sit-down breakfast so we went to RP on CC day.

Nothing special about it....it was good but honestly, I prefer Cabanas for both food, atmosphere and variety as well as the ease of just grabbing whatever you want and eating! :goodvibes

Can you believe I didn't get a photo of the outside entrance of the restaurant???? I took so many photos that by day 3 I couldn't quite remember every shot and ended up missing a few things :sad1:

Next up: Photos of the restaurant :thumbsup2

Oh, thats Jorge, our assistant server from January. He and Aiko were part of our top 3 things about the Disney Dream. We  him. One of DCL's best hiring decisions for sure.

Wow, that ship looks elegant Cass. Just beautiful! :thumbsup2

I think you will just love it!!! ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Yes they will. So when will the three of you be heading down again?

Not until Fall of 2012 :sad1:

Did you have one of the rounded booths in EG or did you have the normal table?

Also, did someone at your table order from the kids menu or was it from a neighboring table?

We had a regular table in the back left corner in every restaurant. Michelle ordered the meatloaf from the kids menu that night :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

The lamb was OK but the tenderloin was more my cup of tea. I have asked before to just get the side from a particular dish and they have always just brought me the whole dish...they said it was just easier for them that way :goodvibes

I'm with you on that Cass. I and my daughter both are picky eaters and much prefer meat and "taters". But I'm sure we will find something to eat each night. We managed on our Magic cruise in 2007.

Lovin' all the pics!

Yup, you can find meat and potatoes on every night so I was happy! :cool1: There was one menu on the Magic that didn't have it....I think it was the big seafood night...Captain's Gala or something like that. Me no likey that one :rolleyes1

Oh, thats Jorge, our assistant server from January. He and Aiko were part of our top 3 things about the Disney Dream. We  him. One of DCL's best hiring decisions for sure.

He seemed very personable but he only did the pastries so we didn't get to kn ow him at all.

It has been great looking at all these pics while I wait for Derek to finish swim practice. Thanks, Cass!:goodvibes
