Oh crap! I meant to try one of those chocolate ones this time  :rotfl2:

Cass, your stateroom was located not too far from where we will be (9043&9045) so it was good to hear that you liked the location. We are inside cabins, right around the elevator doors...

AWESOME  Trip Report Cass and great that you had the opportunity to experience the Dream the way it all came together.

Can't wait to hear more. We have a B2B in October on the Dream and are trying to get as much info on her as possible. You TR I know will have a lot of good info to assist in our planning. Can't wait to read more.

I just wanted to say thank-you for the wonderfully detailed report! We're going on our first cruise in June and I'm loving all the information you're sharing here :thumbsup2

Other Staterooms 6504 Cat 9A Corner Room

I wanted to see as many rooms as possible. ::yes:: Which is why I spent 4 days taking photos/videos and exploring instead of relaxing LOL!

Ok, I will start with the one that everyone wants to see...the forward Category 9A corner room! There's only 6 of these babies and I am sure they will be some of the first cabins to be booked on each sailing! I only got to see the Handicapped one so the other 4 (there's one more HA version) will look slightly different.

While these are awesome huge rooms, there are some drawbacks...the porthole is slanted and when you go to look outside, you often will bump your head. The view is horrible too! Most of the view is of the white front part of the ship and then a little bit of horizon. I also heard some chatter about being able to hear 2 AM rehearsals from the WD Theatre!

So, if you are looking for a quiet room with a great view...these are not the rooms for you. I wish I could have seen 8504 but I couldn't. Maybe MJ (who I think had that room on the MV?) will post some photos soon.

Here's some pics...

Other Staterooms 6504 Cat 9A Corner Room

Since I am now a Travel Agent, selling only Disney, I wanted to see as many rooms as possible. The more stuff I know, the better I can help all my future clients! ::yes:: Which is why I spent 4 days taking photos/videos and exploring instead of relaxing LOL!

Thank you for posting pics of this room.

I have a question....I was looking at the navigator and it listed some character meets at Preludes. Where/ what is that? I don't seem to have seen that place mention in any of the reports I have read so far.

Cass....I am loving your TR and the awesome pics!!! We were in 8504 for the Jan 30th cruise, not the MV (we were in O/V 2004 for the MV). Wish I had known you wanted to see it...I would have invited you in when I saw you outside of Enchanted Garden. I took pics of the cabin that I will try to upload today or tomorrow. 8504 was totally different and seemed to have much more space then the 6504. Once you see my pics you will see the space difference and other things that are different.

Keep posting and can't wait to read and see more!!!

MJ

Subbing, thanks for the details - although I was on the MV its nice to have another persons POV and also to see how the trip went after the MV

Other Staterooms Category 9A 7008

This is a 9A but not a corner room, it's right next to a corner room, it's one of only a handful of "normal" Cat 9 rooms.

All I can say is that the porthole was HUGE and awesome!! ;)

Other Staterooms Category 4C 7096

This is a Deluxe FAMILY Stateroom with a verandah, the big difference between this one and mine is that this one has the rounded shower, longer desk and about a little more than 50 extra square feet. This one only slept 4.

Great TR so far Cass! That ship looks beautiful! I was surprised by the size of your stateroom (as someone who has never been on a cruise). We have stayed in hotel rooms in Europe that seem smaller than that with twin beds only. :rotfl2:

Glad to see you had some fun, sorry you missed Rob and Kira so much, but I totally get it. I feel the same about J.

Waiting for more...you're amusing a sickie :surfweb:, thanks for giving me something to do!

Other Staterooms Category 11B Standard Inside 7021

This was the only inside room I got to see. They are very popular and since there are only 150 inside rooms, they will book up fast!

I personally wasn't impressed but I get the fascination with the Virtual Portholes, especially if you have kids!
