Wow that was a quite a doozy of a day wasn't it!!! So glad you guys were able to find Arianna so quickly!! I'm sure those minutes just took forever to pass!!!

Well that day is done, now on to hopefully better days!!

I am so sorry Boma ended up that way . I have had days like that in WDW from time to time.

No worries about our slightly delayed meeting! That's what I got paid to do, so I was able to jump right into action.

It was great seeing you, and I like our picture! I'm only sorry that the day didn't turn out very well - we had days like those as a family last August, and it really brings everything down. :/

Home with a snow day here too. Between yesterday & today we're expecting 12-22 inches... and we're south so we're closer to the 22 inch side.

Apparently the groundhog didn't see his shadow today so we're in for an early spring! Not quite sure how he even made it out of his hole though...

I'm sorry you had a little meltdown at Boma... wouldn't it be nice if when we are tired & cranky, everyone else could be happy & refreshed to help us through our moments of weakness. Unfortunately when we overdo it at Disney, we all tend to be tired & cranky at the same time. That never makes for a fun time.

I hope you can leave it all behind and have a magical day the next day.

I think the groundhog is still sleeping but an early spring sure sounds nice right now!

Safe to say Boma is not a restaurant we will ever be returning to on family trips. Now if I went with anyone else...... Thankfully that was the lowest point of the trip and things only get better.

Yeah, I still love the big lug. A few days more into the trip when we were having a particularly fun moment, I decided to ask him what was causing him the blahs on this day -- Without actually owning up to anything, he said he did not like Boma at all.

Ariana's focus is something we really need to help her with -- she wanders constantly. Between now and our next trip, we need to come up with a strategy.

Oooo a dinner package -- don't worry, your secret is safe with me!

Welcome back! That was definately the most crowded spot in which she's wandered away. Yeesh! I'm happy to say the trip only got better from here!

I like our picture too! If you have to have a bad day, it happened early enough in the trip this time that the rest of our days more than made up for it.

The queue for Lotso is so adorable!! I read in another report that he really smells like strawberries. That would be so cool!! He looks so cuddly but I'm not sure the boys would give him such a warm reception after how he acted in the movie!

So sorry Boma didn't work out for everyone. That is why I have been hesitant to go there....my gang is very picky.

Hey Angie! Oh no worries, I'm always behind on all my subscriptions.... I'm lurking on a lot then blam! try to catch up in one big post.

Ariana is just always so happy on these trips that she's raring to move on to the next thing to see.... she has to work on making sure we're with her.

I really thought Demetri was going to poo-poo seeing Lotso, but when the time came to meet him he was thrilled and yes, he really does smell like strawberries! He's just so huggable! Naughty, but huggable.

If you do take your picky gang to Boma, make it an early dinner. One other valuable lesson I learned on this trip -- no early breakfasts and no late dinners!

Hi Jen! Ariana certainly keeps us on our toes. It was so different being on the Spectrum Moms trip and not have to constantly look around for her! Ugh, men sometimes! George keeps me on my toes too!

Tuesday, November 30th
Day 4 – Disney Hollywood Studios
Weather: high of 85 degrees, low of 64 degrees
What we wore: shorts and t-shirts


Today was my DHS do-over. The day before had been crap with a few punches of highlights. Today I was determined to wave bye-bye to that! We had a 10am breakfast reservation at 1900 Park Fare and surprise! We were running late. Reaching Magic Kingdom, we took a boat over to the Grand Floridian.

We walked as quickly as we could from the dock to the check in to learn they were behind on their reservations and it would be a while before we could be seated.

If I'd known what 'a while' would entail we would have skipped it but for now we were happy wandering the lobby and seeing all the wonderful decorations.

Still not ready for us yet......

Still not quite ready for us. How stunning is this floor?

It was probably about then I saw a fellow DISer crossing the lobby heading over towards what I think was the boats. It was Happydog and her husband, but I couldn't recall her first name and I didn't think it was entirely appropriate to yell out, "Hey Happydog!" so I smiled to myself and silently waved to them.


Oh yeah.... still not ready for us.

Then.... our pager thingie went off! Gotta say, as long as our wait was, once we were seated, the characters were just flying to our table!

Notice Ariana has two Baby Simba's now. I forgot to say at the end of The Day after Boma, we'd gone into the gift store at AKL before heading to the buses. We knew the original Baby Simba was needing a make over so I bought her another one. Ariana calls her Baby Kiara.

The Mad Hatter was a very cool character to meet, but unfortunately he was so rushed to visit all the tables before the restaurant was closing that he spent hardly any time with us. Ariana was thrilled however that he cuddled Baby's Simba and Kiara.

Now this fine lady on the other hand.....

She was wonderful and Alex loved how completely in character she was.... we had a lot of luck with Mary Poppins meets this trip.


Alice was a teeny bit wide-eyed and came off a bit trippy and odd....

Last but certainly not least was Tigger!

You can't tell from the picture but as a single unit all five of them were bouncing up and down.

Pooh Bear made one last quick stop back at our table again and the restaurant was closing up.

Our server was by no means rushing us though, she came back to us a few times with special treats including a cup full of Smarties for Ariana (her favorite!) and these guys.... Tink for Ariana and Buzz for Demetri.

Heading out, we made one quick stop at George's suggestion for a photo op....

... and grabbed the bus over to DHS.

Today was going to be about doing our favorites and catching the Osborne Lights! First stop......

I don't remember who my parter was this time around.....

Well there's George and Alex so it wasn't them....


The day before the line for the Little Mermaid had been nuts so while it wasn't so bad now, we stopped for this wonderful show.

Next we decided to go to the Great Movie Ride. Would we ever get the cowboy side????

Have you ever seen that episode of Friends where they're all in Vegas and Joey is at a blackjack table when he finds his "hand twin"?

Demetri has found his hand twin!!

wow What a horrible end to the day + having a missing child Sorry the others didn't like Boma. I have only been there for breakfast and ended up with food posioning so it was not a magical experience for me either!

Hopefully the rest of the trip isn't as horrible as that day

Love the updates! I have 1900 PF booked too. I just really want to see mary Poppins, so I'm glad to hear you liked her. Where is your table at? I am trying to figure it out. I see a door open behind your table, but it doesn't look like where you come in at.

Looks like a better start to the next day even though you had a wait at 1900! My friends and I had the same thing when we were there + we had one of the last ADRs of the morning so I know how you feel too! We did have a ton of character interaction as well. I think the MH stopped by a time or two at our table..he was fun!

Glad to see that the start of DHS was better Love the hand twin!! Who was it??

Looks like the next day was alot better, apart from waiting ages for 1900. Great photos and yummy breakfast

Thank heavens no food poisoning for us that day -- can you imagine?! Boma deserves a do-over ... but just for me!

Mary Poppins has always been great wherever we've seen her. I love that character! Our table was at the extreme opposite end of the restaurant from the normal doors you go into. Literally the last table you can sit at. The doors behind us were actually quite convenient as a set of bathrooms were right there.

I wish the Mad Hatter'd had more time for us. I'm glad we did it but I do prefer the dinner. We had so much fun there with the Spectrum Moms trip - one thing in particular had me crying from laughter -- but you'll have to come over to the TR to hear that story.

I'm not sure who the hand twin was! I forgot to look for the name before we booted it into the GMR. The picture says Taylor but I can't find anything from a Google search - anyone know?

You haven't seen the Osborne Lights? Oh you really have to... they literally took my breath away. It's packed when they first start up but it's worth it!
