OK, that picture of the Boardwalk in the morning is seriously making me want to stay there. Even though we've visited the Boardwalk before there's just something about that picture. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and having THAT as your view/surroundings! So peaceful!

And what a fun breakfast! Sounds like you all had a great time.

Oh yes, and I don't blame you for ignoring that envelope that was under your door. Those are never fun to see.

Love Cape May!!! We really enjoyed our meal there. I agree it is a different vibe to this character meal - not rushed or loud or crazy!

Great pictures of Henry. We loved the one time we eat there. I just asked my boys if they wanted another character meal and they both said no. I guess Chef Mickeys is now out. They have no idea we are going in Aug.

Aw man! That stinks that they don't want a character meal! I imagine we will get there with Henry too in 10-12 years...I hope it takes that long. Then he will get a bit bigger and maybe want to go back just to be silly. I can hope, right???

I love that the bus is clutched at all times. I couldn't agree more about Cape May. While I'm not a big buffet person it wasn't crazed, it was laid back, they make sure you see everyone and have some actual time with them and the lighting is just outstanding!

NO I am not a puke catcher!! I am with Jackie on this one. I used to jump as many feet away as I could When my poor kids were sick I would bring them in the bathroom & shut the door & I would ask them if they were ok (while I was on the outside of the door).

LOL about the puke catching! That is just how Joe is, he always yelps and jumps back. Good thing we are opposites! Before we had a kid I told him puke was going to be his department because I didn't think I could handle it---but much to my surprise...!

Last night we got about a foot of snow! But prior to last night it was just a few inches here and there. Yesterday during the morning was a blizzard for a couple hours, but it only produced a few inches. We are back into a winter wonderland after last night...I hope to get Henry out in it later.

Oh, Shamrock Shakes!!! Sigh. I will miss them this year!

WAIT! I just thought of something....we will be at MCO during the time they are out...I wonder, I just wonder if the McD's there would have them....or even the one that is slightly off property...we are renting a car for 1 day for an off-site excursion...oh man! What an exciting moment-- your first Mickey waffle. I'm glad it lived up to it's expectations. I must confess, I did not have my first taste of perfection until Chef Mickey's a few weeks ago.

I am not alone! And I'm glad to hear Chef Mickey's has the waffles. We are booked there for this coming trip.

Wow, what a fantastic breakfast!!! I have heard about Cape May Cafe before but realy never had any desire to eat there but you made it sound so wonderful! Quiet and relaxing, yet wonderful interaction and Mickey Waffles! I love the play by play pictures of you eating the waffle! I guess you never had a GIANT Mickey waffle, huh? Those are DH's favorite! POR food court has them, not sure if the all do. And my goodness, Henry must be the cutest thing ever! His face in those pictures with the characters is just adorable!

It really is a GREAT character breakfast. And 2 other DISers already have mentioned how it just has that relaxed, calming atmosphere - so it wasn't just that we hit the timing right. I bet it's because there are only 3 characters rotating. But that is enough for me! They are so cute in their beach gear too, aren't they?

I never have had a giant one, I might have to try one of those next month!

Brooke - I totally agree with your impression of CMC. I love that place and I have had two wonderful breakfasts there. The food is good, there is no rush, and the character interaction is wonderful. Plus they are great about recognizing special events. I am looking forward to our May breakfast there. Love that place!

I can't believe your trip is coming to close. I hope your last day is wonderful! You guys had such a wonderful trip and I really want to stay at the Boardwalk now. (But I'm pretty psyched to be at the BC in May )

I remember that family - they never really said anything to us, but they were truly enjoying it all along with us. It was very sweet!! And I bet you are right, that cute little man and Henry could have easily become buddies!

My Cape May pictures had that same effect on me. I looked at them the other day before I wrote the update and said, "Joe we HAVE to go back to Cape May!" His response: "Book it!" I haven't yet, I have to figure out how it will work with the plans. We were down to just 4 TS and now we are back up to around 7!

Simply adorable pictures from your CPC breakfast, the one of Henry kissing Minnie's nose might be the cutest thing I've ever seen! Now you've got me second guessing my breakfast ressie at Boma the morning of our cruise, maybe we should head over to the BC for a character meal instead......

Don't skip Boma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's SOOOOOOOOOOOO good! We have done that one twice, and even talked about it AGAIN for this trip. It's amazing! Character-wise, Cape May. Food-Boma! The jucie... The coffee... Your boys, esp Don probably, will love it!

Fabulous pictures of Henry at Cape May! He is such a cutie pie!
Since we stay at Beach Club so often we love eating at Cape May and the breakfast is so relaxing.
Planning on taking Harper there in March as we are doing a character meal a day.

On the puke thing, not a catcher. If I'm at school I just grab a trash can...
If I'm home I just yell for Marc.

I loved the Beach Club too! We have been inside before, but I didn't really take it in. This time I walked around (and we go back again the next day for something else). I really want to stay there now! Our next trip might be over NYE this year, so chances re slim we'd get the BC, but ya never know, we will try for it! I love staying in the Epcot area, it's so beautiful.

Wonderful update. I love all the pics of Henry w/ the Cape May characters. We are going to have dinner there for the first time next trip and I can't wait, even though there will not be characters. I think we are gonna do Tusker House for brunch and Hollywood and Vine for breakfast or lunch so we will still get plenty of characters

Well, when you put it that way! Boma will definitely be more convenient since we're staying at AKL. Don loved dinner there when we tried it, although it has been years ago. I would love to stay at the Beach Club one day - it's such a beautiful resort. Tim & I walked through there a few years ago when we were at dinner at the Yacht Club. I've been wanting to stay there ever since! It's so cool that you'll get to use SAB in March!

I have only been to CM for dinner but we have a breakfast there (I think ) in May....I like breakfast buffets....all the scrambled eggs I care to eat Seeing that they are the only scrambled eggs I ever eat I need to stock up Sounds like you had a wonderful server too....definitely shows when someone loves their job

Brook, I love your pictures of the Beach Club, inside and out. They remind me why we want to stay there once after we try AKL.

I have, however, decided that I have to stop reading reports. Every time I do, I see a restaurant that we've been to and I want to go back to or one I want to try (you, it was Cape May, Cynthia it was Tutto). I'm driving Mark crazy with my indecision on restaurants and our trip isn't for eight months yet!

I am in love with the picture of Henry kissing Minnie's nose (I think I have one of Markie when he was really young doing the same thing...I'll have to see if I can find it when I go home). It is too precious and a definite keeper in a frame photo.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad you finally tried Mickey Waffles. You will be hooked like the rest of us.
