Visiting Every Potty and Trash Can in the World...First Trip Home to BLT, Dec 4-11th!

Just finished reading your TR so far. Love it!! Can't wait to read the rest!

Bummer of a day, heading to a memorial for a good family friend. She suddenly got ill weeks ago and about 10 days ago, they discovered her liver was 100% covered in malignant tumors. Due to her diabetes and other issues, they said no surgery, no chemo, 7-10 days to live. crazy. She died about 3 days after that diagnosis, it was so fast (but i was thankful for that at least for her). Her daughter was my BF growing up, she was our girl scout troop leader and she is my baby sister's godmother. So it will be said to sit through that mass today. My sister is doing a reading. BUT, when one door closes, another opens- another online friend (never met in IRL, but been talking for 5 years) finally had her baby today, after over 5 years of trying, multiple in vitro attempts, miscarriages etc. We were both on a trying to conceive/infertility message board 5 years ago. I am so thankful she finally can experience being a mother, it truly is a blessing so many take for granted, as it is not easy for everyone to conceive (me included). anyhow- at least the bad news comes with some good.:cloud9:

still fighting off my cold/sickness, but looking forward to a weekend off!

GREAT UPDATE!!!

I wondered what the lounge looked like! I missed the CM preview by a couple of months before it opened which I was sad about but I did get to see the treehouse villas and Kidani before they opened!

I love love love WL too! We've stayed there now 7x since 2000. POFQ was our "home" resort prior to staying there. My dad surprised us with the upgrade in 2000, and we haven't been back to POFQ since. My bro is 6'4, 23 years old and still is able to sleep in the bunk bed haha!!

I was statused as Seasonal after my AK internship (to help train the new PIs). After a month at AK, I went back to BBB and worked at BBB (with my AK seasonal status) from Feb 2009-May 2009. I was pretty much at my cap for working and looked for jobs outside of FL since my roommates were all leaving too and got a job as a Pre-K teacher north of Cincinnati where my parents had relocated to from Pittsburgh so it kind of all happened for a reason I think. I was supposed to head back and work at BBB May 2010 but they cut my status 2 weeks before I was supposed to work because the rules had changed..must work twice a year for 40hrs and I thought it was once a year for 40 hours. So..I've been without my status for a year in May. I still have my ID because my plan is to finally pass my teaching boards to become certified, move back to FL, teach FT there, and work seasonally at WDW somewhere, anywhere in the summers. I left on good terms, good record, etc. so there shouldn't be any rehire issues I would hope!
The TOW lounge was awesome, we can't wait to go back in October when it isn't freezing up there on the balcony! It was a great view.

We were the same way, we always stayed at POR. but obviously now that we are DVC, we will be staying deluxe baby! :rotfl:;):thumbsup2

well that is a bummer on the change in policy, requiring two 40hour weeks to keep seasonal status. ouch! that makes it hard for a lot of people that usually do that. congrats on the teaching job, hopefully you can eventually settle back in the Orlando area with a great teaching gig too!

Just finished reading your TR so far. Love it!! Can't wait to read the rest!
Thank you for reading!!! i so appreciate it! i will post another entry here shortly!

So sorry to hear about your friend. That is rough.

Wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your report. We'll be staying at BLT in October (renting points) and it's great hearing how much you enjoyed it. Our little guys are also about the same age so it's also fun to read about Will. :goodvibes

Thanks again for the necklace Ebay link! I got the necklaces in the mail yesterday! My mom loved it! It will be something fun for us to do. I also noticed that they are doing 30% off at La Nouba for AP holders..I've very tempted haha.

What dates are you guys going? We are booked at BLT for October 15-22nd!!! We can't wait to go back, this time in a studio though since it is just the 3 of us. Will you be in a studio, 1bed or 2bed? We really loved BLt and the convenience it offered to the MK. it was great!

no problem! aren't they a great deal? it is something fun to do that isn't too pricey either. cool on the 30% off.......that is a good deal! I have no interest in La Nouba though, i've seen 3 Cirque shows in Vegas (Vegas is our other favorite destination besides WDW!, i know quite the difference!), including O and Mystere, plus one locally here. While they are cool, i've sort gotten worn out on Cirque. Maybe in a few years, I'll get the itch to see Cirque again.

Wednesday, December 8th

Today’s plan was Hollywood Studios in the am. We only had one full day planned for HS- broken up into an evening visit and this morning visit. Of course we already had the evening visit on our first night when we saw the Osborne Lights. :wizard:

Beautiful blue skies today! But still really cold. The cold weather is getting to be a beating now. We haven’t gotten to enjoy the pool at BLT and haven’t gotten to wear our cool t-shirts. We are constantly bundled up.
ry%3D400

Up late again- arrive 9:30am or so. Alan gets FP for TSM for us- said it is crazy back there. It is for 12:50pm!!!!! Ouch! At least we got one, no way would we wait more than 30 minutes for this ride in standby and it is very rare the line is less than 30 minutes, heck, rare it is less than an hour. So Alan meets back up with us, we were in front of the big hat, watching a few character interactions, we decide to go wait for one, but of course, they are going on break right as we walk up, go figure.

So with Alan in tow now, we head toward Tower of Terror, one of my absolute favorites!
ry%3D400

They were doing some construction on the tower, I think just touching up paint and stuff:
ry%3D400

We can’t get a FP since we already have one for TSM. So we check standby, it is only 10 minutes, so we go on. MIL stays off with Will. We had already ridden this on our night at HS, but we just had to go back. Lindsey loved it. We had her pose with the CM for a cute pic!
ry%3D400

I realize now looking back at my pictures and trip report, how much time and photos I used on Lindsey. It was her first trip and a very special one- a once in a lifetime trip for her. She won’t have an opportunity like this again probably. So I wanted to capture all those moments for her. But looking back, I am a little sad that I didn’t take more pics of Will or Alan and myself- or us 3 together. Oh well- we have many more years of trips and Lindsey doesn’t. I am looking forward to our October trip- just us three, where I can take food porn pics (without MIL wondering wth I am doing!lol), take more pics of Will etc.

After our multiple falls through the twilight zone, we exit into the gift shop where I have to purchase a few things. My cousin Nancy had eyed the ToT bathroom stuff on our Dec 09 trip and loved it. She decided to wait to get it and we never made it back over there. So when we did a girls only trip in September to Disneyland (mom, my two sisters and Nancy)- she checked there, but they didn’t carry any of it except the robe. My cousin Nancy is my mom’s BF and she is like a second mom to us, always has been (single and no kids of her own). So I wanted to get her this stuff. I got her a nice large towel, the bell, the key thing and another little thing to decorate her bathroom in. Mom and I had found a ToT cool wooden 8x10 pic frame at a Disney warehouse sale last year too for her! Lindsey also got something- the ToT movie! It was on sale for like $15 at least. It was something she could enjoy/share with her brothers. I am able to use my AP discount for all of it though!

William loved playing with my phone- the kids is a pro. He knows how to find all the pictures, scroll through them, find all his games etc. It often was a big help in keeping him occupied when he couldn’t ride something or we had a long line.
ry%3D400

We check out RnR, but see some CMs standing out front. Turns out the ride is down. Bummer. MIL wants to check out the gift shop though, so we head in. She wants to find something guitar related for CK, Lindsey’s older brother. He has a guitar and is actually getting good at playing. She finds a cool Aerosmith pic to get for him!
ry%3D400

As we headed back down the street, we catch some streetmosphere! We stopped and watched for a bit- it was the little ‘acting’/production company one. MIL and Lindsey really enjoyed this. We of course had to stop in the potty again too! So far Will had done great, NO accidents at all!! I was so proud.
ry%3D400

Enjoying the streetmosphere!
ry%3D400

We stop in a few of the shops after the potty and then head to Starring Rolls. This was a ‘must-do’ for me this trip. The butterfinger cupcake was calling my name! There was quite a line, it was about 10:45. I get the cherished butterfinger cupcake, Alan gets something else and coffee and MIL gets something too, but I forget what all they got! Must not have been memorable! We find a table and enjoy our treats. It was sort of a late breakfast/pre-lunch treat. The cupcake was HUGE.
ry%3D400

It was really good, but enough for 2-3 of us to share. Everyone tried a bite! This location brought back memories as the little back entrance was the way I came into the park everyday for work when I was on the college program. It was the easiest route for me to come in and work at Hollywood and Vine. So all those times walking past it and I never had eaten there.

So glad we stopped and we might have to visit again in October! After that, it was time to head to the B&B show- we did this for Lindsey. She hasn’t had much exposure to professional Broadway type shows, so we thought she would enjoy it. Alan’s mom had to make a phone call and hit the potty, so the rest of us headed in and got decent seats just before show time at 11:30. I had not seen the show in quite a number of years, we usually skip it. Lindsey really enjoyed it and even Will sat still for most of it. Glad we did. We will probably skip it this October though.
ry%3D400

After B&B, we got a phone call from an old friend of Alan’s. so my passion is Disney, but Alan has always loved cars- specifically mustangs. He used to drag race them and found a local dallas mustang message board much like the disboards that he frequented and helped start. So for years, he had been on these boards, they often had meet ups etc. One of his ‘car buddies’ from the boards had moved to the Orlando area years ago and works as an airline mechanic at MCO. His name is Allan too and he has a son about Will’s age, so we had planned to try and meet up. After playing phone tag, we finally meet up, right by Starring Rolls, next to the fountain and ride/time message board. We chat for a bit, let the boys meet, but it is time for our TSM fast pass at this point. It was nice to see them for a little while!

Unfortunately that was the only ‘meet’ we had the whole trip. I had planned a few others, but we missed them. Real bummer!

So we head to the ever popular TSM and get in the FP line. We wait about 10 minutes for the FP line and soon are boarding our vehicles. Will rides with MIL and Alan, Lindsey rides with me. She has a great time. The standby wait time is 60 minutes, this was at 1pm. Neither Alan or I see the big fuss about this ride, it is fun, sure, but I wouldn’t wait an hour for it. No way, jose! In fact, now that we have ridden it so many times, we won’t be distraught if we miss it next trip, especially with the new star tours opening up. I was player 1 and Lindsey was player 2.
ry%3D400

So after TSM, we head back out to the right and another potty stop. We completely pass by the backlot tour. I think this attraction is a complete waste of time now. We’ve done it many times, my dad and sister were even picked for the water show part. But the actual tram ride is just a total waste these days. They really should be something more exciting with this space.

We head towards the Muppets and head in. Will loves the 3D effects and is trying to grab everything. Btw- there was no wait for this and we had good timing, we walked in and only waited about 5 minutes until the show started. Will loved fozzy bear and was saying ‘woka woka’ all day! It was so cute! We were a little hungry by then, so stopped at Toy Story Pizza Planet- we got 2 pizzas and shared them between the 5 of us. We ran into Allan again and chatted for a bit again. We enjoyed a nice table outside in the sun. it was still pretty cold though. We have an early dinner planned tonight at 5pm, so we didn’t want to eat too much. But soon enough, we had to rush out of HS and say good bye to it.

We had 5:10pm ADRs for Le Cellier at Epcot for our Candlelight Processional package. It was already like 3pm, so we had to GO if we wanted to take a break. I told everyone we needed to be ready to go by 4pm, to allow time to get to Epcot and back to Canada. So back to the room with only like an hour to rest.

Back to the room, put our feet up, reorganize the backpacks and do some laundry. It was this day I think, that poor MIL had put some whites in the dryer to dry and they came out covered in red. Lindsey had apparently left a red crayon from one of our TS meals in her pocket somewhere and it had dried and melted all over our whites. Go figure, not just our colors, but the whites!!! My thermal white layer shirt was ruined as was my white tank I wore under t-shirts. MIL had a cute OU shirt that was white but had a maroon OU symbol on it with little diamond things around it. It was ruined too. Plus she had another sweater type shirt, ruined too. That red was NOT coming out. I had to just trash my stuff. It was awful. I was so mad inside, but she’s just a kid, she didn’t think. MIL refused to even mention it to Lindsey, she didn’t want to make her feel bad. I would have at least said something, so she knows to check her pockets next time. :confused3:scared1::eek:

So we spend some time using some baby wipes to clean the red mess out of the dryer too, it was everywhere.

Sorry to hear about the laundry incident!! That's rough!

I tried the Butterfinger cupcake in September and it was good, but in December Jack and I got the giant penut butter one, and that was even better!

I know what you mean about TSM. I think it's always so crowded because there are so few really good rides at DHS, and even fewer for younger kids. We waited an hour in September, and it was ok since it was new to Jack so he was interested in looking around etc. Hopefully when Star Tours reopens it will relieve some of the pressure on TSM.

We have been on TSM a few times now and we just got the game for the Wii9 so we will not rush there for FP's anymore either. If we get there and get them that's great but if not no biggie

Yikes on the Crayon.... I would have been upset. I don't like the public washers at Disney cause 2 different hotels and I have ended up getting stains on my clothes, you are lucky you had the private one

I can't wait to hear about your dinner at Le Cellier

ooh, DH would love the peanut butter one probably, we will add that to the must try list for October! ;)

true, there isn't a lot to offer at DHS and that is a 'family ride' you can all do together. it is fun, don't get me wrong, but i won't be heart broken if we miss it. i can understand maybe if you haven't done it yet, but we've done it at least 5x now and the shininess has worn off!:rotfl::confused3

i am excited about the new Star Tours- i am a big sci-fi nerd and DH loves it too. Unfortunately, he can't do the motion simulator type rides, they make him sick. We will see if he attempts ST or not in October. i need to check the height restriction to figure out if Will can even ride it or not.

yeah, i was pretty pissed inside. oh that is terrible on the public washers. I've never had problems and never thought about that happening, but now i will check if i use one!!! we will probably use them at BLT in October since we will be in a studio and won't have a w/d this time.

Sounds like a pretty good day so far (minus the crayon incident - oh no!)

I love your cupcake picture from Starring Rolls. I need to try one of those. But I hear they have a Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcake too, so I would be torn on which one to choose! :confused3 :)

Sounds like a great morning. How was Pizza Planet? Was the pizza decent? Our DD loves Pizza Planet from Toy Story and we wanted to try it out bc we think she would get a kick out of it. She actually calls Toy Story 1 - Pizza Planet!

Thank stinks about the Crayon. I would have been pissed too. I have had a problem with the Purex Sheets leaving spots on clothing. So we only use them in disney when we wash towels. I have read on the boards that other people have had the same problem with the Purex Sheets leaving spots as well. We even use the Free & Clear sheets.

We will just miss you in October. We leave a week before you arrive. Can't wait to read more!

the cupcake was so darn good! i am totally going back there and having it again. DH will probably want the peanut butter!

The pizza was okay, standard WDW pizza- the individual kind. We were so hungry, i am sure it tasted much better than it actually is! We really enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine though.

thanks for the heads up on the purex sheets. I will just stick with my small sample size tide then and stick a few bounce sheets in a ziploc to take!

bummer on October! So what are your exact dates? Are you planning MNSSHP and Food & Wine? Have you been that time of year before?

We heard the same thing about the ToT, it was just being repainted. We did think the scaffolds gave it a dangerous look and liked it. LOL

how are those purex sheets- do they work pretty well? I want to try them out. i did LOVE having a w/d in the room- so convenient!

Yeah, it totally is not our style (BLT), but i really liked it after staying there. i do look forward to staying at VWL or AKL again in the future- that is more our taste! But while Will is little and we are spending lots of time at the MK, BLT is good for us. the fireworks from TOW were amazing- totally worth it!

I think they do the job on vacation by making it easy so you don't have to carry detergent and softener, but I love my Era and Snuggle at home.

I will have to do BLT one day, but for our 10th anniversary, I'd like to stay at BWV with DH during Food & Wine.

yeah, it actually didn't take away too much for the tower, since it is sort of all depressed looking anyhow! i guess if it was my one and only trip to WDW, i might have been upset about it, but then again, the castle was pepto pink during my entire college program too (25th anniv). I can't believe it is the 40th anniv now!

we did enjoy BLT and i wasn't quite sure about it before going. eventually we will expand our horizons and stay in other DVC resorts too, but while DS is little, it makes sense to stay close to the MK- the walk over is just so easy and quick. I'd love to stay at BC sometime- and considered trying to get it for October, but i know it is highly popular during F&W and probably wouldn't stand a chance since it isn't my home resort.

Aww..sorry about the crayon issue :( I always check my pockets even if I know there isn't something in there! She's young though so I'm sure she doesn't do laundry or would know to empty her pockets?? Lesson Learned I guess though :)

Can't wait to hear about Le Cellier, I scored an ADR for there in March (lunch)!!!

PS..I got the necklaces and LOVE THEM!!! I have 3 friends who have Feb birthdays, 1 lives in FL (a CM at CSR), 1 is going at the end of Feb (has DVC), and the other goes to WDW at least once a year so I was thinking to order 3 more and send them to my 3 friends with a gift card to pick the pearl and then use the rest of the $ for whatever!
Thanks so much for the link it's now in my bookmarks!!

Yeah on the necklaces! so glad you like them. I found them here on the DIS, so I can't take credit for them! it was so much fun doing the pearls and having something disney themed to display them in!

yeah the crayon was a bummer. i check pockets at home too and usually my MIL does too, but she was just fluffing a few things and i guess didn't think about it. oh well- what's done was done!

Wednesday, December 8th, part II

So at 4pm, we all head out- I think we decided to drive over this time instead of the monorail, but I can’t remember for sure. I forgot to take trip notes for this night. So we arrive at Epcot and hoof it back to Le Cellier. This is where more fun begins. So originally, I had booked a meal for Le Cellier for like 6:30. This was before the Candlelight Processional packages were released. Once the packages were released, I called at 7am that morning to try and get Le Cellier. I could not get through- almost 2 hours on the phone hitting redial and kept getting busy signals. I tried from a cell and landline. I kept posting on the boards, seeing that some people were getting through, but many others had the same issue as me. A kind diser that I had met before at a local Dallas meet saw me post about not getting through and PM’d me to get my info- she got through and booked our ADR for us! She even had to hold the package on her own CC. Talk about nice! We had only met once and she lives in Fort Worth, but we had chatted online here and there on the disunplugged boards.

It was super sweet of her to do. She got us a 5:10ADR at Le Cellier and we would see the last show of the night, as we had wanted. So the ADR was in HER name, not mine. Plus, the ADR was for a party of 4 ONLY. At the time we booked the package, Lindsey was not coming, so we only booked it for 4. I had called and asked dining if we could add a person and they said no, no availability. But to try on site and probably would be fine. I even told her I could put Will in my lap if necessary. So I was worried about showing up with 5 people when the ressie was for only 4.

So as I walk up to Le Cellier, I totally forget that the ressie is in her name. I give them my name instead. Remember all the computer upgrades Disney did and many people were NOT able to see their dining ressies online for a time? Well, mine disappeared too and I couldn’t see my old Le Cellier ressie- I thought I had cancelled that 6:30 ressie, but I guess I never did and I couldn’t confirm it online. So I check in with my name and she can’t find anything for that time. I freak. Then she finds us listed for 6:30pm. I was so confused and then realized, oh yeah, I had another ressie originally and I must not have cancelled it. But we had the Candlelight package I told her and she wasn’t finding it. Finally, the light in my head went off……….DUH michelle…….the ressie is under someone else’s name, not mine. So I give her the other name and apologize profusely. She asks if that person is here. I say no. uh oh- she says that could be a problem. She goes to get a manager. I haven’t even told her yet we have 5 and the ressie is for only 4. After waiting what seems like forever, she comes back. All the while, I am thinking I have blown it and we won’t get in for a our ressie. She seems very adamant about the other person needing to be there, which I think is BS. So I just tell a little fib and say she is sick and couldn’t come. Of course there was never any intention of her joining us, she wasn’t even there the same week. But the CM seemed adamant that she should be there. Finally she gets that I have 5 instead of 4 and fumbles around again. Finally gives me a pager and tells us to head outside and wait. It is probably about 5:30pm by now. LOL. I was so stressed at this point. I know, over something silly and totally my fault for NOT remembering the ressie wasn’t in my name.

So finally after about 10 minutes, the buzzer goes off and they are able to seat all 5 of us at a 6top table- I was so so thankful we got in, especially given our larger party size.

So we sit and enjoy all the wonderful breads. The pretzel is my favorite of course. William decided to be a pill during this meal though. I was worried about that. Last December, we actually used Kids Nite out to babysit the kids while all of us adults enjoyed Le Cellier. I had considered it for this night at one point, since I wasn’t sure how he would do during the Candlelight processional, but we decided not to go the sitter route. I almost wished we had. I spent half the meal trying to get William to sit in his chair and behave. Plus 3 trips to the bathroom!

I had the cheddar cheese soup, I mean, you got to! I forget what everyone else had for an appetizer, but it was not the soup. MIL ordered the salmon for dinner and enjoyed it. Lindsey ordered the kids steak and was happy, she is a meat eater. I had the filet, but substituted the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto, as I don’t like mushrooms. DH had the filet as well. I ordered mine medium well- I know, at least it is not well! It came out bleeding. I had to send it back. I had told them they could butterfly it if necessary when I ordered, since it can be hard to get a thick filet MW. It came back perfect, but I had to wait a while on it, which was a bummer while everyone else was eating. Will had the kids pasta and barely ate this meal. He was just being a little booger.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and for the first time at Le Cellier, I didn’t feel crushed and crowded right up against other tables. When you walk into the restaurant, we were located back to the right, near the fireplace and kitchen, our table was right up against a column too, so there was no one right next to us. However, I did later realize that another DISer was in fact right next to us! Tinker Tam and her family- including Brenda and Gavin were seated right next to us near the kitchen. I had no clue it was them though, because Jon was sitting with his back to us, blocking Gavin. So all I saw was a table of 3 and didn’t make the connection it was them until they left. I had been eying them towards the end of the meal, thinking they looked familiar, but I am shy. But as they left, I heard her call out Gavin’s name and I knew it was them, but they were already out the door and I was dealing with an unruly toddler. I remembered Gavin’s name from her pre trip report! Oh well- another dis meeting opportunity missed. So hi Tinker Tam!!!! So sorry we missed you- we were literally right next to each other and didn’t know it until it was too late!

We finished up our meals and were so stuffed, but since this was a package, we got dessert too! I ordered my favorite, chocolate mousse! It was so cute, but I was so stuffed, I could barely make a dent in it.
ry%3D400

Alan got the campfire s’mores and enjoyed it. I’ve had it before too.
ry%3D400

I think MIL got the crème brulee and Lindsey and Will had the ice cream. Our kind waiter gave us our tickets for the processional and we paid up. It was pricey! I forget the total cost with tax and tip, since DH was paying for all of our meals on the trip. Unfortunately we couldn’t use our TIW card since this was a package.

So we left the restaurant and stopped quickly at the kidcot station down in the cave for Will to get a stamp. We then explored the store in Canada and had a good time looking around. We left and headed towards the back of World Showcase. I wanted to stop at the UK shops, but I was afraid we were short on time to get in line. We were seeing the 8:15pm show. Although our original reservation was for 5pm, we didn’t get in until later due to the mess up I made. So it was probably about 7:30 now and I know they say to line up about 30-45 minutes before? So we headed towards that back area and finally see the line. We put our little stickers on that says ‘8:15’ show. We get in line, it is already back past Japan! It isn’t too bad waiting, but cold. AS we get closer to the American pavilion, they ask me to put the stroller up- so I find a spot and leave it. Soon we are being escorted into the theatre. We manage to find a spot pretty central about half way back or so. Not bad seats. We wait and cuddle up. Finally, the lights dim and the show starts.

Tonight’s show was featuring celebrity narrator Jodi Benson, of Little Mermaid fame- she also voiced the Barbie in toy Story! She was simply beautiful and elegant and brought so much liveliness to her narration.

I really enjoyed it and only wished we could have heard her sing, but she did not. I felt bad for the choir, since it was freezing outside. I hope they were dressed warmly under those robes or at least the stage area was heated some or something?

We enjoyed the show immensely, glad we did it, especially on a trip with MIL, I think she enjoyed it, as did Lindsey, who participates a lot in her church back home. Will was fairly good, I was thankful for that.
He sat with MIL some of the time and then with me. He didn’t try and move around too much and was quiet and well-behaved, unlike at dinner. I wasn’t sure he would make it through the whole thing without acting up- he isn’t a kid that likes to sit still. But he did great. After the show, we headed out and grabbed the stroller. Unfortunately, on the way back towards the American area, we got stopped, CMs held up a rope to make way for all of the choir exiting back towards the American Adventure area where I guess they dressed etc.

So we had to wait forever, then it was a mad house getting through there! We headed out and it was now almost 9pm. It was so cold though, we decided to just head on out. We didn’t care to see Illuminations again since we had already seen it our first night with a perfect view. As we headed towards the front, we decided it couldn’t hurt to check out Test Track. It was nearly closing time, but they let us in and there was no wait! Woo hoo! Score. We were some of the last people on and they didn’t even make us sit through the little movie. They did measure Will before going in and he was just at 40”. Now, it wasn’t the smartest thing to ride TT while it was freezing cold outside, but we did. It sure was cold out on the track and poor Will was shaking! But he had fun. We spent a little time checking out the cars too. Alan used to work for GM- he worked at the GM plant in Arlington TX for a number of years to pay for college. His mom worked on the line too and her ex hubby (a previous ex hubby) worked for the Union there. His brother still works as a journeyman there. They do have a VIP lounge for employees, but we never tried to get in or use it before. Alan still has his GM id.

Anyhow, we hear fireworks going off as we exit test track and make a quick stop on mousegears before heading out. We were then done- back to BLT we want for the night to get warm and sleep! Speaking of shopping, since this post is so light in photos, I thought I would share a few of our purchases! I had just done a girls trip to Disneyland with my mom, 2 sisters and cousin in September and we did a LOT of shopping then, since it was just us and no kids or husbands waiting around while we shop! So I didn’t have a ton to buy, but we somehow still ended up with a lot!

I found this cute casserole dish at World of Disney, they had two sizes. I think this was around $20. Love it!

I also took pics of the little jogging suit I got William, but will have to post those later, don’t have them at work. In addition, the other things we got, a hat and tshirt for me, t-shirt for Will, mr potato head parts for my nephew (lindsey’s little brother, Will’s age), some Stitch stuff for Lindsey etc. We didn’t buy a ton compared to other trips, but we did buy a lot!

Great update!! I am so disappointed that we didn't realize we were both at LE Celier! I guess that means you need to plan on going back the same time of year in 2013. We can try that whole thing again! LOL I think it must have been something in the air at Le Celier. Gavin and Brenda were both acting up in there. I was probably "yelling" at Gavin when you heard me! :rotfl: We even got hte cute light up drinks for them there. That didn't help at all. It just seemed they were having "one of those nights". We did end up buying one of those big red and black blankets in Canada so we could cuddle up and watch Illuminations!

Sorry for the drama with the Le Cellier ADR. I would have been stressed too! I'm glad they were able to accommodate all of you! :thumbsup2 I would love a bowl of their cheese soup right about now! :)

The Candlelight Processional looks beautiful. I haven't seen it since I was there on the College Program. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.

Sounds like you guys had a great day!
