Yankee Candle, New Spring Smells!

I stopped in Yankee Candle today to see what the new Spring smells were and I have to say...... FLUFFY Towel and Hidden Garden are awesome!

You would think Fluffy Towel would be just like Clean Cotton or very similiar, but it isn't, it's softer and smells just like a warm fluffy towel.

Hidden Garden smells just like spring, plus it's a light scent, not too floral, which I prefer. A mix a fresh cut grass and lilacs. I don't buy alot of candles, but I couldn't pass up Hidden Garden. I got a small candle and some tarts.

Another is Pink Lady Slippers. (really) which was STRONG and very floral. Whew. Passed on that.

Also, Country Lemonaide (nice, but boring) Soft Blanket, (nice, but not as good at Fluffy Towel) Bahama Breeze (eh) Pink Sands (eh) and Orange Dreamsicle (too sweet IMHO)

Who knew there were so many smells in the world?

Fresh Cut Grass was my favorite too! I was very upset when they discontinued it. They brought it back last year for a limited time and then they had a buy one get one free sale so I got six large jars. Hidden Garden reminds me of Fresh Cut Grass, but with a floral scent added.

YC has lovely scents, but the candles are very dirty and will slowly brown your walls. You should do a search fir a PartyLite consultant in your area and let her show you amazing fragrances that burn cleaner and at a lower temp than anything else on the planet!

Does "fluffy towel" smell sort of like Downy fabric softener ?

I was just at YC last weekend and didn't notice it.

I DID notice that the large "Christmas on the Beach" jar candles were 60 percent off... ( ) so I stocked up on those.

I LUV that aroma ! We burn them all year.

(Turning the "Christmas" label away from us and toward the wall, of course...)

I mean, we were raised right and all....

No, I wouldn't say it smells like Downy, I love Downy, I put the sheets in my vents sometimes, but Fluffy Towel is not as strong as Downy, I can't think of a good comparision, it just smells like a fluffy towel should smell!

My sister LOVES Christmas on the Beach too! AND she hides the lable if it's not holiday time.
I thought she was the only one.........

I love Yankee Candles even though they don't burn cleanly. The Fluffy Towels scent sound wonderful as do Pink Sands and Bahama Breeze. I may have to make a trip to a Yankee Candle store!

If you love them but are concerned about that, you just have to be steadfast with maintenance on them. I have been burning them for over 20 years now and have never had a single jar that was not clean on the inside (no black stuff at all). Trim the wick each and every time before lighting it and be sure to remove all debris from the inside of the jar. Another key is to keep them out of drafty areas and/or use an illumalid to keep the candle burning evenly. Works like a charm!

Can't wait to smell those new scents. Having worked for the company for a number of years, I always like to see if the scents are actually new or if they are just a mix of previous ones. Also I am excited that they are bringing back Fresh Mint and Tulip for a limited time! Excellent spring fragrances.

Is it a "real" Yankee Candle or a Target-brand Yankee Candle???? Normally, I pick-up my Yankee Candles at our local Hallmark store. But, this one at Target was ALLOT cheaper.

I have a Scentsy too. I love it, but I always forget to buy more melts.

I think I heard the Yankees at Target are Target Yankees, made at a price point for Target, not the same as the ones at Hallmark. Seems like I read somewhere that they were going to do that.

Received a Buy one get one free coupon from Yankee Candle yesterday and I bought the Fluffy Towels and Pink Sands scents today. They really do smell like spring! Love them both!!!

Yes, it is a real Yankee Candle - Yankee makes exclusive lines for Target and Kohl's - at their lower price points so my guess is slightly less fragranced but I've never noticed a huge difference - enjoy!

My husband gave me a perfume by Jo Malone called Orange Blossom Cologne. It smells EXACTLY like Soarin' to me. It is wonderful. They make a candle (pretty high price point, unfortunately) in the same scent. I haven't tried their candles, but if money was no object. . .
