My sister is finally going on a Disney cruise with me!! :woohoo: It'll be me, my DD (age 13), my sister, her DD (age 16) and her DS (age 20). I have been trying to get them to go for a couple of years now so I want to have a pre-cruise party at my house for all of us. It sounds like so much fun but the only problem is that I'm not a party planner and need some help. Would anyone like to help me out, pretty please?

Here are my ideas so far...

I have the Disney Cruise special from the Travel Channel on my DVR still so I know I'll play that so that we can all watch it!!

I would like to have some steel drum music playing but I don't have any. Does anyone know where I can get some from? Kinda like what they play on the ship.

My DH can maybe make a picture video from our past pictures onboard the Magic and Wonder and we can also watch that but I don't want it all to be about watching TV. What about some type of games...kinda like trivia game with facts about the Dream itself?

Anytime of things I can order DCL related for decorations? I thought about possible trying to get a banner or poster made and maybe getting one of the very, very talented folks that create a lot of the Magnet designs to create something. What about that?

Any suggestions are welcome!! I know a lot of you are very creative and have some great ideas and I'm praying that I'll get some help from you all! TIA!!

What else could we do?

We've been having 'hundred day' parties in preperation for our cruise in June. For the 500 day party we had "fru-fru" drinks with umbrellas, shrimp with cocktail sauce, fresh fruit in a hollowed out pineapple, and chicken tenders. For another party, we took a cool cruise DISign to Sam's and had them put it on a cake for us with the edible paper. I made a set of cruise line memory cards (my youngest niece is 3) that we've had a great time with! We're just starting to plan the last party (WOOHOO!!!) - that one is going to probably include a slide show of pictures from my cruise on the Dream this month...

I know you'll have a great time!

I have a few pre cruise party and there were pirate themed.....I bought a ton of stuff at www.Orientaltrading.com

They also had some Bon Voyage stuff and I had a banner personalized with the date of our cruise.

I made ship shaped cookes, had a pirate treasure chest, made a playlist of all songs to do with the sea or ocean or sailing. A great steel drum CD is called Beauty and Beat and it is all Disney songs done on steel drum. We played pin the eye patch on the pirate.

Here are some pics of the treasure chest and cookies I made plus a cookie cake I ordered.

I think they were probably talking about their cruise docs....not physical tickets.
