Which wedding website are you using?

Hey everyone! Ok, so since DFTW is taking away my original website :-)headache:) I have to make a new one, because I refuse to use the Faceboook one ( a lot of us have already had that discussion :rolleyes1). But I don't even know where to start. What website did you use? Would you recommend a different one? We prefer it to be a free site. TIA!!

I've just started planning and I'm using theknot.com which is really user friendly and has a lot of layouts to choose from.

I use one from theknot.com (it's public so anyone can view it) & projectwedding.com for my other.. The projectwedding one is private so it includes LOTS of details for our guests & is password protected. Trying to keep a few people out of the loop! =X

I wish I found projectwedding.com first.. I LOVE the layouts & a lot more 'elegant' layouts available without purchasing them. =]

I'm using wedding window. You have to pay but I thought it was worth it. You get a lot of tools and layout options that you do not have with a free site.

I am using weddingwire.com but I paid for a domain name so people wouldn't have to type in some crazy long address. I liked weddingwire's layouts and it was easy to use.

I used the free one at theknot.com. The webaddress wasn't too unwieldy, which is nice. I like it, and I used theknot for a lot of stuff so it comes in handy having everything in one spot.

We also used a site where you had to pay. Ours was around $80 for 18 months, which worked out to be a perfect time line for us. It was through weebly. We wanted more options and the ability to customize our website. We also wanted a private website, more so than anything, and that is why we chose to pay. We put a lot of personal information on there and only wanted our guests to be able to use the site. I'm not sure if you have sent your STD's out yet, or are using Disney for this, but Disney actually put this website and our password on the STD's which was great. We never even used the website they gave us, it was useless IMO, and half of our families aren't on FB, so that wasn't an option either. HTH

Thank you for sharing! Our STD's already went out in August, and they had the website address for the DFTW original site. I'd really love to customize our own website, but we only have 6 1/2 months left and I can't bring myself to pay that much for only 6 months left.
