I have finally decided to do a PJ seeing how I have gotten a lot out of looking on these boards I thought I would say what I was doing.

First off a little background:
me (liza) 24 insurance agent
df (joe) 24 maintenance mechanic

We got engaged on June 9,2009 at the Red Sox game. That was also where we had our first date and how i always thought i would get engaged. My dad has had season tickets since i was little and i just love the red sox. It was wonderful :cool1:

We are getting Married May 7, 2011 at the Wedding Pavilion @ 12 then having a cocktail hour at the Whitehall room & Patio and then the reception @ the St. Augustine Room.

We also have Misty Miotto booked (which i am so excited for)

I will upload some pictures of my dress and flowers, etc... when i get home from work:)

Welcome and congrats! My DF is from New England (even though we both live in Cali now) and is a huge red sox fan. I am trying to figure out ways to incorporate it into the wedding. My only thought so far is a grooms cake, if we can fit it into the budget. :)

Congrats and Welcome to the boards!! Can't wait to hear more and see some pics!popcorn::
Thank you, I have been reading about yours and I can't wait to see pictures :)

I am having 7 bridesmaids: my sister is my maid of honor, I have 2 sister in laws, a cousin and 3 good friends
Here are there dresses. We were going to have them choose the style but in the end they all pick the halter. It will be in the teal color.

Df also has 7 groomsmen. His best friend is his best man, my 2 brothers and brother in law, his brother and 2 good friends
Here is what the guys with be wearing

Also my dad and his dad will be in those. We are having my dad marry us, since we are both catholic and are going to be blessed in the church after we thought it would be nice to have someone we know marry us. I am very close with my dad and i think he will be perfect :goodvibes

Congratulations! We share the same wedding date! In fact we share a lot of things, my ceremony is in the slot after yours at 2:30 in the wedding pavilion, cocktail hour is in the same place and the reception is at the GF also.

Oh wow thats crazy. Maybe we will run into each other.

Love the proposal story! No better way to do it than at a Sox game! ;)
I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

So we went down to Fl in the beginning December for our PS. We just went for 4 days but we were able to go to mickeys very merry christmas (which i had never been to which was amazing) and df got to go golfing so he was happy. We have Michelle as our planning and so far she has been very nice and quick to answer any questions.

We also got our first BEO which was a little shocking to me. We had a budget and went totally over it. So we had to change a few things and now just waiting for our floral and a number of guest so we can get it down more. Right now we are budgeting for 100 people but hoping for 65-70. For the menu we are doing Burgers, hot dog, chips and salad at the welcome dinner (which i didn't put in my first post but that will be Friday night at the summerhouse). For the cocktail hour we will be having cheese and crackers and fruit with yogurt dip. Dinner will be salad, olive oil veggies, a potato bar (with Yukon mashed, sweet potatoes, risotto), breaded chicken, and peppercorn strip loin (which was amazing at the tasting). Then we are just doing the mad hatter cake.
Df doesn't like cake at all so i was thinking of doing a mickey ice cream for him. Has anyone done that or anything like that?

Then since we are having an early wedding and it will be over by 6 we are hoping to go the boardwalk bars. We were hoping to drink around the world at epcot but i cant justify making everyone pay for a ticket and then drinks for like 2 hours there.

YAY:cool1: I can't wait to Misty I love looking at everyones pictures she does.

So I can't believe that my wedding is only 4 months away. Since we have been engaged for almost 2 years it seems so strange to only be 4 months away.

This weekend me and df went shopping and I wanted to find wedding shoes. And the first place I went we found them. I really wanted blue (for my something blue) and these are really comfy and I got a really great deal:banana:

We have also got our wedding rings a few weeks ago at the kay outlet. So here are our rings.

I didn't realize that most of the bands look funny with the 3 diamond engagement ring. So I ended but with a curved one but i really like it.

df didn't really care much about his before hand but then when we got there he ended up trying more on then me. He ended up with this one it has mother or pearl in the middle of it which makes it really cool looking.

In other news I got our invitations in!! I really had a hard time on these because i love loved a whole bunch of them but I just couldn't spend so much money on them when people were just going to throw them away. But I am really happy with the way they came out.

So I said in my last post that we got our first BEO and it was quite shocking we have since changed a few things and have gotten it where we were hoping it to be. We still haven't received our floral yet so as soon as i do i will post the whole BEO.

I love your dress!! So pretty and I love the flower detailing. I really like your bridesmaids dresses where did you get them from? I'm looking into letting the girls pick out their own dresses in all the same colors.

I will also be interested in hearing about your wedding ceremony experience, as DF is catholic but I am not. I know I must be catholic in order for the church to bless the marriage. But I really haven't had the time yet. :confused3 I wasn't raised in a going to church all the time type family. I only went a few times with my grandmother and friends when I was in middle and high school.

Can't wait to read more about your planning! You are so close!:goodvibes

Love the dress!!! & Your invitations are beautiful! I like the pattern, simple, sweet, and elegant!

Thanks, I am glad someone thinks so. I was worried since they were so cheap that they won't look good.

LOVE your blue shoes!!! I'm doing blue shoes as well. I've started looking, but I'm having no luck. Where did you find yours?

I love your dress! Its beautiful!! Also love the shoes...I wanted blue shoes too but as I wanted flats its proven very difficult so I got a blue garter for my something blue! By the way, we have the same e-ring! I nearly got the wedding ring too but ended up with a slightly different one from a different jewellers!!

Thats so funny we have the same ring. DF picked mine out all by himself and he did a very good job:yay:

I have been kinda MIA for a little while but have started doing a few things. I can't believe its only 101 days left. We sent out our invitations the end of last week and have started getting the RSVP's back!! Yay i think this is my favorite thing so far, df doesn't understand why i get so excited but i do. I finally ordered flower girl dresses. I had the hardest time with this because i couldn't find a dress i liked for less then $150 and i couldn't spend that on 6 dresses. So I found on for $45 and it should be in Monday so I will put pictures when it comes in. Also I have decided on a guest book. Well we are going to take a red sox jersey and have everyone write on that. We wanted to incorporate the red sox since that was our first date and where we got engaged and we spend alot of time there in the summer months. So i am very excited just need to find a pen or marker that wont run. Then when we get home we will frame it and put it in the office with all our other red sox stuff!:cool1: Other things i still need to get done is favors.... I have wanted to do playing cards with our name and date and possible picture but i can't find ones that i think will be well made for less, so i am trying to think of other ideas. I just liked the cards because we meat playing poker and my family is very much gamblers so i thought it would be fun and different. SO we finally got our floral BEO and i am shockingly surprised how low it was. Granted we didn't do anything over the top but i got what i wanted. We are at $23000 with disney so I am pretty sure i am not going to change anything, just hoping that maybe 15 people won't come and i can get mickey and minnie  Thats all for now :goodvibes

So I decided since i only have a month left i would start being better. But my problem is i like reading everyone elses.

So a few weeks ago i had my bachelorette party and wedding shower. They were both a surprize and i was shocked because my best friend flew in from NC and i had no idea.

For the bachelorette party we went to foxwoods, which it not unusually for us because we like to gamble so i just thought that we (me and one of my bridesmaids) were going to a concert and then to have fun but instead everyone was there. So we went to dinner, bowling and went to the bars. Here are a few pictures

Everyone that came, minus my mom because she had surgery that week and was really tired after dinner. even my sister in law who had a baby less then two weeks prior came (my brother was in a room with the baby so she could feed him)
DSC_0359.jpg

My sisters! Well only the one on the far left is my real sister but the two next to her are my sister in laws and then the one next to me is my sisters sister in law pretty much my sister.
DSCN0433.jpg

They made a list of things i had to do and this was one of them.
DSCN0434.jpg

And get a picture with a tall man.

So that following Sunday I had my shower (So that my best friend could make both of my events) My cousin took pictures and they are not the best at all but here are a few.

my fmil gave me a ton of pictures for df from when he was little.

my new nephew

I am still waiting on my wedding favors which are playing cards with our name and wedding date on them (me and df meet playing poker so we thought it would be a cute way to add that in) So when i get them i will post a picture. I got my bubbles yesterday for the exit. And just waiting for a few odd things to come in so i can get them all ready and ship them down.

I have also started being in wedding mode. i am trying to work out everyday with different things normal i just run. and also i started tanning so i am not so white for the wedding :cool1:

Also we had to pay our balance this week. Which in a weird way feels nice, now we can have the wedding
