***NEVERMIND...found my answer ;) ****

I feel totally stupid asking this, considering we've been to WDW on the dining plan numerous times!!!! Yet here I am....

If we're staying for 8 nights, we have the dining plan for 8 DAYS, right? (I think it confuses me every time since we arrive there from the other side of the country after 5pm and at the end of the vacation we leave earlier in the day, so we always have to make extra effort to use up ALL of our meals, so I get thrown off by how many days we actually have available).

Thanks!

you have the dining plan for the number of nights you're staying in the Disney hotel. How many days you're there or in the parks does not make any difference...it's completely counted on the number of nights.

So if you're on the regular dining plan and you're staying 8 nights then you will have 8 table service, 8 counter service and 8 snacks per person.

You can use them up in any order you want, and fast/slow whatever.

Right, I know it's not based on how many days we're in the parks, but the whole hotel reference thing of "8 days/9 nights" thing always throws me off as to whether they refer to days or nights for specific things. But I found what I was looking for. :)

You're not assigned credits for any particular night or day. The number of credits you get is calculated on the number of nights you stay, you get them all at once, and you can use them on any day (or not use them) however you see fit.

Oh I know. :) We just usually end up having not used some of ours by the end of the trip and are scrambling around trying to make the most of them on our last day or two.
