Just trying to figure out the flight logistics around our March 20th cruise. Does anyone know if a 11:20 return flight out of LGB (Long Beach) airport leaves us enough time after we dock? Not sure if it'll work. Thank you!

DCL recommends that you not book a flight before 12:30. Sorry, no personal experience as to whether this is an "etched in stone" or a suggestion.

They have the same recommendation at Port Canaveral for MCO, and we can easily make 11 am flights there. I wouldn't go any earlier than that at MCO.

Thanks, but the 12:30 recommendation is for LAX. I'm wondering about LGB.

When I called DCL about Long Beach they still recommended the 12:30 time frame. Our flight is at 12:45. The thing I still have not gotten a straight answer on is docking time. For PC it is usually 7:30, but for LA it calls out 9:30am which could make things real tight.

Given how close the Long Beach airport is to the port (15 miles), you should be fine. However, do note that if the ship is delayed in clearing customs, you may have problems.

I'm a little concerned about the late docking time/custom clearance as well. We have a 12:30 flight from LAX (and are using DCL's transportation and onboard check in which should help speed things up).

I've heard the customs can take forever at San Pedro port? Hopefully we will make our flight:)

We are on the same March 20th cruise and will be flying Jet Blue in Long Beach. We had issues on a cruise about a year ago on Carnival. We were supposed to get in at 9:30 but didn't make that time due to weather. Thank goodness we had a 5:30 flight so we made it.

I'm nervous about the flight at 11:45 and are seriously thinking of doing the 6:00pm flight back to Portland or staying overnight and spending Sunday at Disneyland.

Yep,from everything I've read, customs is one of the big issues in LA. The other issue I've read about is that everyone is delayed so scrambles for transportation to get to airports or other destinations and there are often long lines for shuttles and taxis.

I don't think DCL's transportation is the best idea for an early flight. They have full size busses (or at least that is what they currently run from LAX - DL). My guess is that they will wait for the bus to fill before leaving the port.

We have a 12:40 flight out of LAX after the Panama Canal Cruise. Stressing a bit about the time. Also, not sure what time to set up as pick-up for private transportation.
