I have been soaking up all the info I can on the Dream but I must have missed this...

Disney Dream Animator's Palate restaurant
(DISNEY CRUISE LINE)
Interactive animated characters will play a major role at the Animator's Palate restaurant. The surfer-dude sea turtle Crush from "Finding Nemo" will make special appearances, swimming around the restaurant walls and engaging in live impromptu guest interactions. While Crush is moving throughout the restaurant, other characters from the film including Nemo, Dory, Squirt and Bruce the shark, swim by and visit with guests. The dining experience culminates with a surfing lesson led by Crush as the EAC (East Australian Current) swirls around the room. As Crush swims away, the other characters make a final appearance before turning into pencil sketches.

They have a ton of photos and info.

It sounds like the Nemo characters will be interacting with the guests like "Crush Talk" at Epcot. AWESOME!!! DUDE!!!

I have to say that I think the new Animator's Palate on the Disney Dream to be one of the worst themeing I have seen Disney offer. As stated on the DCL website, it is "filled with everything you would expect to find inside an actual animator's studio. Character sketches, maquettes, light boxes, paint brushes, colored pencils..."

Its themed perfectly for traditional hand drawn animation and then the space is invaded by CGI. Animation done with computers. I think they started telling one nice story only to have the second half of the story not match the beginning.

Its not a complaint about how the restaurant looks or the Nemo themeing. I just wonder about having both in the same place at the same time.

But this is the reality of animation in today's world, it involves both traditional techniques and computer animation. Both are wonderful, both are part of the Disney experience, and both can give us memorable films and characters.

I can't wait to try it out in May ;)
