There was some confusion when the date was first released....very interesting.

So Maiden Voyage for the Fantasy is now what date?

The Fantasy's maiden voyage has been scheduled for April 7, 2012 for quite some time, and it appears to be sold out on DCL's web site. What has changed?

This is so exciting if it moved. I'm going to try to get on it, as this is my kids spring break, so we couldn't go on the April 7th one!

There are no Caribbean cruises on DCL's web site for March 31 or April 7 (which I think is because it's sold out).

Cast member offered me the week before. She said they were taking possession a week earlier

The meets thread said it is now March 31st and people are currently being called about the new date.

And I don't believe the MV of the Fantasy was sold out.

Perhaps not, but nothing shows up on DCL's site for the April 7 cruise.

I take it you can't go the week before? We went through 3 changes of date for the MV of the Magic. It was tough rescheduling everything, but at least it is so far in advance that airfare should not come into play yet for this change.

From what I'm reading on this thread and on the meets thread the Maiden Voyage will now be 3/31/12 and the 2nd voyage will be 4/7/2012. Just wanted to get the dates straight.


I'm thinking that DCL has pulled off the 4/7 cruise from the website so they can make changes if people are going to be changing dates. Not sure it will be repriced since 4/8 is Easter and it will now be a holiday sailing instead of a MV sailing.

It was stated on the Meets thread that those that stay on the 4/7/12 cruise will get a lower price as it is no longer at the MV rate.

I am sure they are updating the pricing at the website and that is why they are not showing up yet. They must be pretty confident that the construction is going faster than anticipated to move the date a week earlier.....they seem very impressed with Meyer Weft!!!

Now...do you think the MV will be a little cheaper since it is not over the Easter Holiday? I felt it was a double whammy price for the MV as it was the MV and Easter.

Sending pixie dust to those who are affected and to the DCL phone reps today.....they are going to need a big dose of pixie dust!

I'm not expecting it to go down (though it would be nice!). We were prepared for cost of the MV and we can move our date up (LOVING retirement!!) so it will be fine for us. Yes, if it does go down, there'll be a few more pesos to spend or we may just go ahead and add a Dream 5-day on March 22 and then have some time between cruises at WDW!

I haven't heard anything yet so I'm guessing we might get a call today. I wonder if they will swap it from Western to Eastern now. If so, we'll probably cancel or move it because we strongly prefer the Western.
