(I heard on our cruise that one of the Disney buses arrived so late from WDW that they all missed lunch).

That would be us. :headache: Our bus did not even pick us up until 12:00 o'clock. We then had to load everyone, go to Caribbean Beach, load everyone there and then we finally headed to the Port. We did not get on board until well after 2:00 p.m. We had no time to get lunch before our cruise meet, so we ended up just skipping that meal. Thankfully, we had gone to the breakfast buffet at Boma that morning, so no one was starving to death.

Next time, we will either be taking a limo if we do WDW first, or renting a car for a day if staying by the port.

WTH?!?! Why did I not know about the new TR, lady?! How did I miss it. You know what made me think to even look and check....we went to Senoritas in Clark for dinner tonight and I thought of you! Then my next thought was, I wonder if she started the TR from the October trip...and what do you know, YOU DID!! Haven't read any of it yet but I'll be sure to comment on everything I've missed so far.....

Was Pods doing hair no evil?

Love that!!

That guy is SO jealous cause he knew what you were up to. :thumbsup2

Do your boys know you posted that tub pic?! :rotfl: Blackmail material.

Sorry that breakfast and the limo ride weren't all that great.

Great shots of the port and all the ships! Hope lunch was better than breakfast. Can't wait to read more!

Lunch was really good- the food on the cruise was very good, we thought. And yea- they know I posted the pic- they figure no one reads anything I write, so they're not too worried! :rotfl2:

love the bathing beauties! :goodvibes It's fun when they still have those childhood moments as they move in to "too cool for school."

Too bad your breakfast and ride didn't start your day out Magically. :sad2::sad2:

I'm worried about the computer - sounds like it was sitting in the parking lot:eek:

Hmmmmm.....there's an interesting thought.....popcorn::

Hi JoJo- thanks!! You SHOULD write a TR for that MV- I know I would love to read it, and I am sure everyone else would, too- PLEEEEEEEZ say you will!!:yay:

That would be us. :headache: Our bus did not even pick us up until 12:00 o'clock. We then had to load everyone, go to Caribbean Beach, load everyone there and then we finally headed to the Port. I know it was you- so sorry!! I would have been pretty upset. But if you DO get a limo next time, I would avoid Sterling/Skyy........there were so awesome last time, and just completely disappointing this time!

WTH?!?! Why did I not know about the new TR, lady?! How did I miss it. You know what made me think to even look and check....we went to Senoritas in Clark for dinner tonight and I thought of you! Hey Nikki! I'm so happy you found me! I figured you were just busy with Christmas stuff. Did you like Senoritas? I LOVE their tortilla soup- it's delicious!

Hi Nikki! I just watched your videos - loved them!:thumbsup2

I just watched the new one too- it made me cry!! So great!!:yay:

I am loving your report....thanks so much for sharing!

You're welcome- thanks so much for reading! :goodvibes

Here it comes....I know the suspense is killing you!!:rotfl:

love the photos...what is the deal with the silver lanyards BTW?

After the first cruise, you are a Castaway Club member- silver is the lowest tier- after the 5th cruise, you become gold and then the next level is platinum- but I have no idea how many that takes! They give you the lanyards- on the first cruise, you have to buy youir own. DCL is very good about puttting presents in the cabin (DVC leaves a gift as well). DCL gave us the lanyards, two flip flop rice krispie treats, a nap sack, and a key chain. Very cute!:goodvibes

Joining in!! (better late than never!) I've had so much fun catching up. We are doing our 2nd DCL cruise this June! The first was in 2009...a 4 night on the Wonder. It rained almost the entire time! :headache: This one is a 5 night double dip on the Dream. Keeping our fingers crossed for no rain!

I love the pictures of the boys in the bubble bath. :rotfl2: Too cute!! I'm also cringing wondering what has happened with that laptop!

We headed to the Promenade Lounge for our 3pm meet. It is always so wonderful to put faces with DISsers!! :goodvibes I even met a couple of people who were on our last cruise that I had not met then. Jen was busy, of course, handing out her lanyards with the help of her family-

Before you knew it, it was time for the group pic-

untitled.jpg

My family is in the middle, right by Mickey- two of Jen's kids are there with us- which I thought was really great! :goodvibes Throughout the cruise, this was the family we spent the most time with, the boys all got along so well, as well as we girls. Anyway, this was a HUGE group of really nice people- we felt lucky to be a part of it.

We went back to the cabin to do a little unpacking before the Muster Drill. All of our luggage had arrived, we were pretty impressed!! I noticed there was a note on the desk telling us we had a $200 credit on our cabin (from the rebooking on board) :thumbsup2 We got out the orange life vests for the drill, and right before we marched out the door, Pods said, "Honey....where's the computer?"

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We counted our luggage, and recounted our bags....we searched high and low...this was our 1 month old laptop....it was my responsibility...I'm usually so good with stuff like this....I remember Pods telling me to grab the computer...but....where was it? Did I leave it on the curb??? Was it still in the limo??? I can't even BEGIN to describe how much I was shaking, how really, REALLY upset I was. This was a top of the line, memory packed Dell, and I had insisted on bringing it, so that I might be able to forward emails etc while we were away (I am the PTA President at T&T's school, and it is the volunteer job that never sleeps- I am the communication link between their school and the parents). And right as this was happening? I couldn't do a thing about it- because we had to go to the Muster Drill. Such bad timing. All I did at that drill was turn around to Pods behind me and repeatedly apologize. He was really good about it, though- he was so calm and just kept on telling me not to worry about it. Uhhh...well, thanks, but I don't think that not worrying about it is an option. After the looooooooooonnnngest Muster ever, I ripped off the life vest and gave it to Pods to return to the cabin, while I went to the already long line at Guest Services. I have to say, I was a mess. The guilt I was feeling was horrific. FINALLY, I got to the desk- I really believed that I had left it on the curb, so they checked and no, nothing had been handed in, but if I could wait just a few minutes, there was something else for them to check. Sure, no problem, if you can find my laptop I am good standing here all day.

Isn't this the worst? Well, not really...because it then became even worse.

I heard a lot of crying and screaming from a distance, getting closer....I turn around just as Pods comes up to the desk, with Timmy and Tyler- and Timmy is positively wailing. He says "WHERE DO I GO TO THE DOCTOR???? THE CABIN DOOR CLOSED ON MY SON"S HAND!!!!!"

I told you we had a black cloud hanging over us that day.:sad2:

A CM appears out of no where, and whisks them down below to the Medical Center on Deck 1. Pods tells me to stay where I am, Timmy will be fine. If I thought it was hard to stand through that Muster Drill, standing here was 10000000 times worse. The CM returns and says, "Sorry, no luck" and then I am running downstairs after them. We thought the worst, that Timmy's finger was hanging off, broken, whatever- it was just really, really bad. After a careful inspection of the finger and several xrays, they determine that the finger is NOT broken, only has abrasions and is bruised. How lucky was THAT? Once Timmy's finger was cleaned up, it didn't look nearly so bad. But Timmy was REALLY shaken up. A train wreck, but who can blame him. So we wait while they bandage him up...at some point, we notice we are moving, and we say, "happy sail away, kids!" :sad2: They were very nice down there and all, but I think we would rather have been screaming up on Deck 9 than screaming down on Deck One! Anyway, here are the pics from our Sailaway Celebration-

Well, after all that, we were all soooooooooooooooooo drained....just really, really wiped out. I mean, that was a LOT of bad stuff all at once! So we all went back to the cabin, where Timmy relaxed and waited for the Tylenol & Ibuprofin to kick in. I think we also got him a snack, but it's hard to recall (can't imagine why). I remembered that I had the limo driver's cell phone in my phone, because he had called us when he arrived at BCV- I called and he said he was on another job in another car right then, but that he would look in our limo at the car yard when he was done and let us know what he found (or didn't find). He seemed to think that we were the only passengers that day in that limo, so if we left it there, it would still be there. We kept our fingers and toes crossed.

An hour later, he was feeling MUCH better, and the boys went to the Edge. :woohoo: And Pods & I went to the show- AND had a VERY DESERVED DOTD.

IMG_0105.jpg

We missed this show last time, so I was very happy we were getting to experience it this time-

The comedians, Alfred & Seymour, were so, so, SO outrageously funny that even in my state I was able to laugh- REALLY laugh- at their jokes. Absolutely loved them, and never missed a performance the whole cruise.

We went back to the cabin to get ready for dinner, and I got a text from our Limo driver right before dinnner- he had found the laptop in the back of his car, and would hold it for us until after our cruise. He promised to meet us at the airport when we got back. What a relief! But it still made me nervous.....and that was a feeling I would have for the whole week until i got that computer back, I'm afraid....

Nerves aside, it was time for our dinner- on to Animator's!

Ack!!! You poor thing! All of that would have made me a complete wreck. I'm getting a little queasy just thinking about how I would have felt with the laptop and then the emergency medical visit.

Your first day defintely tops my first day. After all, we only missed lunch!

Thanks for the pic! Looks like Crazy Line #1 had already died down. I've almost reached Crazy Line #2 on my TR (ToT)...LOL, you weren't there for Crazy Line #3, which was on the boat in Cayman.

One thing about Diser's.... man, we know how to queue!!!:rotfl2:

Before you knew it, it was time for the group pic-

 We are so sad in a way that our next cruise is not on Disney. The cameraderie that the Dis brings is so special! (As much as they may try, Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle's don't hold a candle to a Dis Meet and Disers!)

And thanks for adopting my kids!! :rotfl2: We were being bad parents over in the corner! :lmao:

We went back to the cabin to do a little unpacking before the Muster Drill.

At least your end of the hall had it together. It was dinner before we had all of ours. Gah!

Pods said, "Honey....where's the computer?"

Isn't this the worst? Well, not really...because it then became even worse.

I have to say you did a fantastic job putting your worry about the computer behind you and enjoying the cruise. I know it was nagging you all along, wondering would you really get it back afterwards. I would have been an absolute mess! And for sure, it did get worse....

Poor guy, but what a trooper, by midweek he had totally forgotten about it, right?

Besides, how often do you get to take a picture like this?!!!!!

IMG_0104.jpg

(Ron will probably add his comment on technique here, anytime he sees an xray he has to... rest assured it is coming :rotfl:)

Expensive picture though I'm sure, hopefully it didn't wipe out your entire OBC, though I suspect it might have. Next time try to buy your pics in Shutters instead, hmmm! :rotfl2::rotfl: (kidding!!!!! :lmao:)

And yeah you've heard it from everyone before, but the Sailaway party on Deck 9, you've been to it before, you'll be at it again, how often do you experience Sailaway from the Medical Center?!?! Once in a lifetime experience, I tell ya! (mmmm...let's hope! Anyhoo.....:rolleyes1)

Well, after all that, we were all soooooooooooooooooo drained....just really, really wiped out. I mean, that was a LOT of bad stuff all at once!

It was a rough first day for you all!!!!
