"Front Desk" credit card charge?

We checked out of WDW earlier this week and, upon returning home, noticed a charge for both our checkout (incidentals) and a nearly $70 charge from "Front Desk". Has anyone ever seen this before or have any idea? We didn't charge anything to our room in our last 3 days at the resort, so there shouldn't have been anything that wasn't included in the checkout settlement.

I would call them to recheck the "front desk" charges. They could be some taxes or charges that did not originally show up. I had a similar situation arise in April, and I was able to get it fixed quickly. Good Luck.

"Front Desk" is a misc charge account code that is normally used for items posted to a guest folio after checkout. It can be anything.

I had one last year when a charge I had made to the room didn't post till the next day after we checked out.

If you call they should be able to give you the details pretty quickly.

1) So much for my tip.
2) I guess it is Golden Coral tonight instead of Charlie's Steakhouse.

3) Seriously though, dvcHammer is correct.
4) Most of the time there are charges after checkout such as
. . . park charging on the last day before you catch a flight
. . . freight to send FEDEX/UPS gifts/souvenirs home from the hotel
. . . extra cleaning charges for the room (usually for smoking in the room)
. . . the late posting of a park charge earlier in the week (usually a non-Disney-owned vendor)

NOTE:
There are many non-Disney vendors and stores at WDW.
Many of the carts/kiosks at DTD are non-Disney, plus many stores inside the parks, inside the resorts and inside DTD.

I would agree with this being the reason. I was at the AKL front desk, and the woman before me was trying to get the CM to understand her question/concern (and had to repeat it *several* times), so I heard her. She kept track of room charges, and the invoice she got at checkout did NOT include charges from 3 days before, but did include charges from the previous morning. So it's entirely possible that some earlier charges are just now coming through.

The bill/invoice/statement you got at checkout should have a phone number and email address to contact for post checkout billing questions, though!

Of course, the billing department is only open Monday through Friday, but I'll definitely be calling to ask. We were pretty careful not to charge anything to the room. In fact, our KTTW did not allow charging.

We did leave a case of unopened water in our room that we had ordered from Costco. I'm starting to wonder if they charged $70 to move 20 lb of water?
