Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

Thanks John for the explanation on the limiting of the number of folks on PCC 3.0. Since we're already booked it obviously isn't an issue for us, but we do like the idea of limiting the numbers. It was a lot of fun, but we just couldn't meet even half the number that were on this cruise.

Val & I tried to be "inclusive" and meet new folks (somewhat successfully) but we also wound up spending a lot of time with old friends. I'd like to suggest that for PCC 3.0 all the "veterans" of past meets make it a policy to adopt a newbie (need a better name for that) so that we make sure people aren't left out.

I think that's an AWESOME idea Jeff!!

We can talk more about this as the cruise gets closer but I think we could do some fun stuff like having buttons made like 'I've been adopted by <DISBoards Name>' - or have a meet specifically where the folks that have been around a long time host and meet and greet the first timers.

I like this idea too! We haven't done PCC 1.0 or 2.0 and I'm a little nervous that everyone on 3.0 will already know each other.

Now that 2.0 is over and people are rebooked, how close is it to being full??

I'm a little worried about feeling like an outsider, too. I love the idea of being paired up with someone "in the know." This is basically our 1st cruise (and certainly the first for our kids) so we not only haven't met anyone yet but we are very new to the whole cruise experience!
I also know that John mentioned possibly have a children's activity on PCC 3.0. Although I'm not very knowledgeable about the cruise aspect, I know children and would be happy to help in any way!

We rebooked on board as well!! Can't wait for 3.0! This cruise was simply amazing! It was my first, but felt very welcomed by everyone.... podcast lanyards everywhere you turned! It was awesome!
