Hi ladies and gents,
I just wanted to post a vendor review for all your brides and grooms to be. I hope some of you find it useful!

Wedding date: November 30th 2010.
Location: Sea Breeze Point
Guests: None, just the bride and groom!

Wedding Planners 10/10

We had Stacey as our initial contact and she was absolutely wonderful! Stacey was so patient with our many, many questions and our change of venue twice! We cannot thank her enough for everything.

Once we were assigned a planner we were given Amy R and like Stacey we both have nothing but great things to say about her. Amy was very generous with her time, quick to respond to emails and really reassuring. Whilst we were working with her she was given a promotion and moved to work on the Wishes weddings, so we assigned the lovely Vita as our planner for the final few months before the wedding.

Once again as boring as it sounds Vita was superb. Neither of us can think of a single negative thing to say about Disney's Fairytale Weddings. Each person we dealt with was fantastic, responsive to emails, sweet and reassuring.

Thanks to Stacey, Amy and Vita our wedding ceremony was without a single issue, we cannot thank them enough.

Floral 10/10

We had Rosie as our floral designer and once again Disney did not disappoint. Rosie was very sweet and patient when I couldn't quite find what I was looking for. When I finally did find it Rosie was very supportive and 'got' exactly what I wanted. The flowers and candles at our ceremony looked simply perfect and our personal flowers were stunning; they even lasted (thanks to a big bucket of ice!) until our MK photo shoot a week later!

Hair and Make Up 10/10

I booked Beaute Special for my hair and make- up on both my wedding day and for our Magic Kingdom photo shoot. Laine was the stylist sent on both occasions and once again we have nothing but great things to say about her.

I warmed instantly to Laine who was great fun and very calming. I don't usually wear much make up so the prospect of wearing so much was a little unnerving for me; I wanted my groom to marry me, not a stranger who he's never met before! However, Laine reassured me that it would all work out and look great on the photographs and you know what, she was absolutely right. At first when I looked in the mirror, I thought "OMG, I can't wear this make up" but after about 15 minutes I got used to it and everyone including my groom said how lovely it looked.

Initially my hair wasn't quite what I wanted but I told Laine and within minutes she'd fixed it to make it perfect. Ideally I would have liked to take a photograph of what I wanted with me, however my hair idea was all in my head and as I'm terrible with hair myself it wasn't something I could show Laine easily so for her to get it right pretty much first time was great. Thanks Laine!

Randy Chapman 20/10

As everyone on here is already aware Randy is simply fantastic!
We both felt very relaxed and comfortable around Randy as soon as we started chatting. We had no guests at our wedding so when me and my husband were apart it was lovely to have someone who you felt comfortable with and reassured by.

I have no idea how Randy does it but he has a great knack for capturing moments without you even knowing. Most of the shots we have look very relaxed even when Randy did ask us to pose. Randy was also great at making sure my necklace and dress were lying properly.

We cannot recommend Randy enough he was simply wonderful and we can honestly say he really helped to make our day : ) Thanks Randy!

DPS - Mike 10/10

As we had an Escape wedding we had a Disney photographer present as well as Randy. Mike Strickland turned up on the day and was a very lovely guy. Mike took some amazing shots including one of my favourites of my groom placing the ring on my finger. I would definitely recommend anyone who is using DPS to request Mike.

MK Photo shoot 9/10

We had Amy for our Magic Kingdom photo shoot, which was done on a freezing cold morning at 5am. Amy was very professional and took some great shots but we didn't feel as comfortable with Amy as we had with Mike and Randy. However, her photographs and general professionalism were fantastic. Amy made sure my dress and shawl were right for shots and even went to the extent as to move one of the workers vehicles to make sure it wasn't in the shot! Once again we would recommend Amy.

Officiant - Ron Rosenzweig 10/10

We wanted Ron to perform our ceremony as we are not particularly religious and liked the fact that he wore a suit rather than robes. Ron was lovely, very calm and relaxed. He walked us through everything and double checked our personal reading before the ceremony. Once the ceremony began everything was word perfect, he made it very much about 'us' and thus very intimate and romantic. As we had no guests he even offered us a toast after the ceremony, which we thought was wonderful.

During email communication Ron comes across as very much down to business, which makes it difficult to warm to him. However, once we met and spoke with him we both knew we'd made the right choice.

We are so very pleased we chose Ron as our officiant, in our opinion you could not ask for a better non religious ceremony. Thanks so much Ron!

Victoria and Alberts 10/10

I'll be honest, we booked V&A's thinking it was something we would never do again as it would be a bit too high brow for us. However, we felt it would be a great experience to share on our wedding day. That said, now we don’t want to dine anywhere else! The food was simply outstanding and the service was fantastic. The coffee is even prepared in an old fashioned percolator, it's a little expereince in itself! The harp music, personalised menus and rose are such a beautiful touch it make the evening simply perfect.

One small word of warning though; If you order the wine pairings for each dish be prepared to drink A LOT of wine. We thought it would be simply a little taster to compliment the dish but with each course we received a fair amount of wine. I ended up with three glasses at one point as I simply could not drink it all!

Finally, we wanted to publicly thank the couple who sent us over a lovely dessert wine. The couple were newly married and were honeymooning in Disney. They popped over to our table just before they left to congratulate us and let us know that the wine would be on the way. We are still completely blown away by how lovely this gesture was. We are only sad that we were in such shock we didn't get a chance to catch their names or thank them properly. So we’d like to say a huge thank you to both of them on DIS in hope they may read it. You made our special day even more wonderful. : )

Summary

We hope our little report helps a little. I know all our reviews are very positive but in all honesty we feel our wedding was pretty much perfect, and that would not be the case without everyone who made it happen. :D

Thank you to everyone on DIS who helped us with our wedding planning and good luck to everyone who is currently planning their wedding. I have no doubt you’ll have a fantastic time! :thumbsup2:

congratulations.... :wizard:

We also had Randy just 3 days after you and also loved him. I don't know how he does it.

I also had Laine from Beaute Special and really loved her. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable, like an old friend.

Great reveiws...makes me want to try Victoria and Albert's. I have always thought of it as just too expensive. I am a foodie though and would love to go with my new DH. How sweet of that couple to send you over a dessert wine. We found other Disney guests to be very complementary and friendly on our wedding day. It just added to the wonder and excitement of the day.

Thank you for your wishes and much congratulations to you and your new husband!

So pleased you also found Randy and Laine to be more than brilliant. It's so hard selecting vendors when you've never met them but I think we both picked the best. I'm clearly no biased or anything, haha!

Oh you MUST try Victoria and Alberts! It is expensive but completely worth it. It's not just a meal it really is a wonderful experience that I know we won't forget.

We're both quite shy but I have to admit it was lovely wandering around Disney with people wishing you good luck and congratulations, it's not something you usually get with a 'normal' wedding haha!

Congratulations once again, I wish you both a wonderful future together, including many more Disney trips! :wizard:

I hope you had a wonderful wedding day, I'll have to look out for some photos!

Congrats! You did get some beautiful shots! :goodvibes

I think I'm going to have to look into V&A too...

Thank you!

Oh you should definitely look into V&A's!

We're not 'foodies', but we absolutely loved every moment of it. Once dinner was over we simply walked outside to the pier and watched the Christmas Wishes Fireworks with the music piped in from Narcooses. Perfect end to a perfect day : ) :cloud9:

Good luck and enjoy your special day when it arrives :flower3:

I am going to talk to my new DH now and try and convince him to try V&A's. He did take me to Napa Rose while we were at Disneyland and we did the Chef's Counter and the experience was amazing. I think the only thing that could top it would be V&A's!

Both DH and I are also shy and try and avoid pics at all costs, lolol, especially me! But Randy just put us at ease and we barely even noticed our picture was being taken most of the time.

I started a trip report and the link is in my signature if you want to see any of our pictures.

I also saw your pics featured on the Disney Wedding Blog, congratulations on that!!! I especially love the sunset shot, it's gorgeous.

I'm glad you had such a good time! Your pictures are lovely!

DH and I really want to go back and have a VR with just the two of us. I always wanted to get married that way, but he really wanted guests there, so we compromised by having a small wedding. Even that have difficulties though, so we both want to do it again with just the two of us now :rotfl:

You look like you had a wonderful day.
Your pictures are beautiful!!
Many congratulations!!

Thank you very much for your kind comments : )

Oh Queen Victoria's room, very fancy, you'll have to let me know if it's much different to the main dinning room experience.

Have a wonderful wedding day, I wish I could do mine all over again just for the food, haha!

Thank you, you're very kind. :flower3:

I'm glad you found the reviews helpful. I'm aware that they are all really positive, which is not always as useful, but in all honesty everyone we dealt with was great, any issues we did have were tiny and the most important thing is that on the day it all went perfectly. : )

congratulations! We were married on 11/30/2010 too!!! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Congratulations to you and your new husband! I hope you had a wonderful day.

When we were there we kept a look out for 'Just Married' buttons but we didn't really see any one else with them on. Never mind, we may bump into each other on an anniversary haha!

Honestly, you'll have to give it a go sometime, I really was incredibly surprised by how much I loved it at V&A's.

Just taken a look at your trip report and can I just say your wedding band is stunning!

I love the shot of you both on the catwalk at the Cali Grill, I've not seen a Disney wedding photograph like that before and you both look so happy too! :cutie:

Thank you :)

I know what you mean, inviting guests or not inviting guests is such a hard choice.

I like your plan though, a vow renewal if the perfect opportunity to have an intimate wedding without upsetting anyone. Plus who wouldn't want to do it all again? :thumbsup2
