Seems like I am always missing out on great deals but sometimes I do get in on them. I missed out on the WM Epic Mickey ( and other Wii games) deal last night. What was $35 is now $70.:confused3

As with many of us money is tight this year and I am always looking for a great deal. I hate to pay full retail, and other than last year's Zhu Zhu pets, I won't!

So here are a few of my deals to get things started. If the deal is still available, please make note. Thanks.

STILL AVAILABLE-Albertsons

Buy $100 in selected gift cards at Albertson's (also Jewell) and receive a $20 coupon on your next grocery purchase. $20 coupon expires 12/24/10. The deal is good until 12/12/10. The only GC I know you can't buy are AMEX/VISA/MC/Albertsons. I have bought Kohls, AMC, Regal, PF Changs, Disney (I will use for one day ticket and then upgrade to an AP with monthly payments), Bath & Body Works. My Dsis got Sees, El Pollo Loco. They also have Barnes and Noble, Home Depot, Southwest Airlines, and too many to list (over 200).

I wish I could afford it, I would buy SW ones for our next vacation (hopefully WDW) and more Disney cards as well. My DSis had just spent over $300 the night before we went to Albertsons on a SW ticket for her DD27 to come home for Christmas (she's at KU). She was really bummed when she realized she could have gotten $60 in free groceries if she had bought the GC first.

You can buy GC to give or use them for yourselves. A 20% return.

It's been reported that ALbertsons in WA have a different deal. Verify before purchase if you aren't sure. My market (all 3 in my area-So. Cal.) have a sign up in the store.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE-Walmart.com

Last night I finally bought
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Triple Play) (Blu-ray + Standard DVD + Digital Copy) (Widescreen)
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Triple Play… Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Triple Play) (Blu-ray + Standard DVD + Digital Copy) (Widescreen) (Widescreen)
Release Date: 06/29/2010
on walmart.com for only .....$10. Yes, that's right, only $10 for the Triple set! ;) They had other selections (like Hot Tub Time Machine, etc.). Free Site to Store Shipping, total $10.88.:) Est. arrival is 12/10/10-12/16 at my local WM.

I'm glad I finally did this one last night as the deal is no longer being offered. I did check in the stores before I bought and it was being offered for the regular price.

I haven't really started my Christmas shopping yet, so hopefully I'll have more.

Of course many restaurants offer a deal on their GC. Most are $5 free GC with $25 purchase or $20-$25 with $100. Our local Del Taco (sorry not nationwide chain-too bad because if you don't have a DT, you don't know what you are missing) Anyway, they have a sliding scale on their GC. 2 free tacos if you get $10 GC, 2 free soft chicken tacos for $15 GC, free menu item for $20 (or $25) GC. If your deal is a standard deal, please don't post, but if it is a really excellent one, please do!;)

I am still looking for a good deal on Castle, Season 2, DVD. My DD11 is obsessed with that show.

Anyone else want to share?

Funny, reading a few threads this morning I was thinking of starting a similar thread to yours!

Here is one I used last year, again this year and just loved the simplicity of. The recipient truly enjoyed this.

Costco dot com has:

$29.99 after $10 OFF
The Fruit Company®
Holiday Tower
Item # 124850

This includes delivery and you choose the delivery date. Sorry I can't figure out how to post a link! I am a Costco addict!

I have a question on the Jewel/Albertson gift card deal. On the free gift card you get for Jewel/Albertson, is there a minimum purchase required to use the Jewel gift card or is it just like a regular gift card?

This seems like a great deal, because I can easily use up $100 in Kohls gift cards since I shop there all the time, and to get "free" groceries at Jewel for buying Kohls gift cards would be super.

It seems like I'm missing something here. This sounds too good to be true.

No. Unlike some of the market deals I've seen out there (like Von's that req. a $50 min. purchase to use coupon) this does not. Okay, looking at the actual coupon it does have a min. purchase-$20 with your Preferred Card Purchase! ;)

Of course there are some restrictions-here's the basics from the coupon
*Redeem after manufacturer's and store coupon redemptions (s). Offer excludes money orders, lottery tickets, gift cards, alcohol, tobacco, prescriptions, stamps, fuel, garbage stickers (?), transportation, amusement parks I-PASS, dairy and convenience store purchases or other products prohibited by law. Cannot be doubled, tripled,or quadrupled or exchanged for cash. Not valid on previous purchase. Void if copied or tansferred. In the event of return, coupon savings may be deducted from refund. This offer can combined with other promotional offers. Customer is responsible for sales tax on purchased items.

Also there is a limit of "one discount per transaction." I figure when I use mine (I have 4 now) I will just separate my transactions into smaller ones (about $20 each ;)) Coupon expires 12/24/10

It's really not too good to be true. ;) I did the same thing you are thinking of doing. I bought a $50 Kohls GC (along with $25 at B&BW and PF Changs) and used that $50 Kohls card yesterday during the Power Hours. I wish I had bought $100 in Kohls' cards since I spent $103 total (but saved like $120!). I used my 4 day coupon pass (15% off and didn't require Kohl's charge to use it) I put the balance on my Kohl's charge but I could have used all Kohl's GC for my purchase if I had had more.

I keep trying to resist the urge to go back and get more Kohl's ones. I know I will be buying more at Kohl's anyway.

When I saw the offer Von's was doing I actually laughed! The Von's deal (which expired 12/4) required $150 in GC sales and you got a coupon for $15 off your next purchase of $150. No deal in my opinion!:rotfl:

*This is from the Albertson's coupon (from the Catalina machine) I don't know what the Jewell one might have on it.

The dates to remember for Albertsons are that you have to purchase the Gift Cards by 12/12/10. The GC never expire. You must use your $20 coupons by 12/24/10 (Just in time for Christmas dinner)

I got the best deal today at a craft fair at our area high school. I got my DD13 a Coach purse for Christmas for $60. Plus, I was at a garage sale yesterday and got a brand new Coach Wallet for $5. I am so excited. My daughter will be in heaven!!

This year Christmas Toy are so hot for gift and i buy 50 Toys from the online shopping card and i got 15%Discount and free shipping with 50 Toys .

I went to Walgreens last night & got a Monkey Pillow Pet. Sign said $19.99, rang up $15.99. Spend $25 and get $5 jingle cash for next week. So you could buy 2 pillow pets for $31.98 (if on sale at your store) and get $5 jingle cash so $13.49ea. Or 1 pillow pet, 6 .99 Hallmark cards, and 1 Revlon nail polish, pay $27.92, get $5 RR for cards, $5 for polish, and $5 jingle cash making it $12.92 + tax for all items after rewards.

I went to Tarjay this morning and using the printable Hasbro q's, got 2 Hungry Hippo games for free, and 2 Pictureka card games for .24 ea.

Last week I used the Victoria Secret mystery card online and got slipper socks and a mini perfume set for $6.92 shipped and 3 lip butters & a free body butter from The Body Shop for $10.XX.

Best deals this season were:
50 Amex pass promo, both DD's got 50 dollar bonuses!

Tanger outlet 50 dollar gift cards for 25. DD and I both got one!

DD got 100 gift card @ Belks on BF

Was also able to get the 35 dollar wii mote and game bundle at Walmart, just dance for 19.99 on amazon and great prices on UGGs and Northface for Xmas!

Thanks to everyone who posts these deals!

I have the $5 Hasbro coupons from the paper this week. Hungry Hippos is $15 so how did you get it for free? I could get one for my cousins' girl.

Nevermind-I did some more searching and see it's on the travel size one. Great Deal! Free at Target or only 24 cents at WM. Time to print off some more coupons. Thanks Crystal0608

Used my first coupon last night at Albertson's. Mostly bought items for making Christmas cookies and candy (another "Free" gift!) I was with my DD11 and we were in a hurry (meeting someone who was buying something I had on Craiglist-who never showed! URGHH!) Anyway, if I had more time I would have done 2 transactions to use 2 coupons but I just did the one.

Here's what I got:
Loaf of hot French Bread
2 lbs. brown sugar
10 lbs. flour
2 jams/jelly
2 bags Nestle Morsels
Foil
5 lbs. sugar

Everything was on sale and I had a coupon for the foil. Total was $21.70 before coupon, $1.70 after. I paid cash!:rotfl2: My total savings, with items on sale and 2 coupons was $32.74. :goodvibes

I did ask before I shopped what items constituted dairy (since it's excluded) I knew diary inc. milk, butter, ice cream, and yogurt but I wasn't sure about eggs. They said eggs (after checking) are dairy. I'll just have to get my butter and eggs at Sams Club.
