What is your recent experience? I heard that the fish and chips have changed? Why?

We've eaten at Rose & Crown several times in the past month or two, the most recent being this past Thursday.

Things have changed at most WDW restaurants, including Rose & Crown, but R&C hasn't changes as much as some others. The fish and chips is no longer billed as "Harry Ramsden's" and I'm not sure why. It's still good, but not as good as it used to be. It used to come with peas and is now just the fish and chips. The fish is now more 'average' and just a little smaller portion than it used to be.

The prime rib has been gone for years. The soup is still good as is the beer. If you eat outside you may have to share your chips with Brian the squirrel.

I miss the Prime Rib, it used to be great. Have you tried the Sunday Roast? How is it?

We went for the first time in October and loved it. I had the Sunday roast and it was very nice. Our service was spot on too.

If you want my full review check it out below 2010

We went to Rose and Crown this past Friday and had the Scotch egg, Sunday roast, bangers n'mash, and toffee pudding. All were very good, the roast was very tender. And the beer is good ;)

I believe Harry Ramsden is a brand they no longer serve. I have heard myself that things have gone a bit downhill here

but that is not from personal experience

There is no longer any mention of Harry Ramsden on the menu or anywhere else. I haven't tried the Sunday roast yet. The last steak I had was several years ago they had a combination steak and fish and chips. It was really good, but a lot to eat in one meal.

Does anyone else remember the wonderful mushroom appie they used to have? I don't know why they discontinued it, but it was so delicious.

I had the surf 'n turf in Sept, swapped half the fish for a big chunk of shepherd's pie and split the appy combo with my niece so add on a half cup of potato and leek soup, half a scotch egg something else, can't remember, but it's been changed since then. Had the sticky pudding for dessert. It was a lot to eat but every bite was dee-lish.

I'll be eating here for the first time this year. I made reservations for IllumiNations. Hopefully I can score a seat indoors by the windows :)

We've been eating there for years, with our most recent visit being in August. We actually thought this visit was the best meal we ever had there! I'd say to give it a try, sometimes you need to try places for yourself and form your own opinion; you might be pleasantly surprised!

We had dinner at the Rose & Crown in October and it was quite a disappointment. I was with a friend who hadn't been to Disney for over 20 years so I was hoping that everything would be a good experience. We both had the Sunday Roast which was dry and not very tender. The vegetables were cooked beyond recognition. The general dining room staff seemed a a bit disorganized, but our server, Abby, was sweet. We did enjoy our Boddington's Ales though. At least we had really good dining experiences at Sanaa, The Grand Floridian Cafe, and the Turf Club to offset the R & C.

Ate there for the first time in August (I was very hesitant for some reason), and it was wonderful. The service was fantastic and the food was great. I am looking forward to going again during our next trip.

Have always wanted to try Rose & Crown. What would be the best adr time to be able to see Illuminations??

The last time we went we had a 7:30 ADR. Had 2 tables out on the deck. Dessert was served right in time for illuminations. Worked out perfectly. Good luck!

Was there this past summer, and no major changes. Still a great place to sit an enjoy a beer.
