Favorite CS at a resort

What is your favorite CS at a resort? We're staying at FW and have not heard good things about their CS. So, I thought we'd try at least one other resort's CS. Any recommendations? Easy proximity to FW would be nice, but it's not a necessity because we'll have our own car. Thanks!

I enjoy the food at the food court at POFQ. good steak and cheese subs, yummy baby back ribs, hubby likes the potroast and great bakery selections! Beignets, yummy. Also we really enjoy the pick your own pasta station over at POR.

My favorite is the CS at PORS because it is the only resort we stayed at. I did buy beneigts at POFQ once, the CS area seemed small. No offense, but I think you would be nuts to drive around to different resorts just for CS

I agree, I wouldn't want to drive to another resort for a CS meal. I would just eat one in the park I was at.
But to answer your question, when staying at POP we love their food court.
The meatball sub is wonderful, the chicken alfredo plate is pretty good too.
Also they do a meal called "Mom's night out" TV dinner thing each night. They rotate between meatloaf, turkey and fried chicken. That can be a different CS.

You are totally right! We definitely wouldn't drive somewhere just for a CS. However, I would drive to a resort I've never seen (like AKL or PO) to look around and eat.

My favorite is the Contempo Cafe which is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort and I would highly recommend it.

I'm a big fan of the Pepper Market at CSR and the food court by the pool at AKL that for the life of me I cannot remember the name of lol

Good's at OKW is not so much bad as it is a big pain. Just a walk up window and often a long line b/c there's only one person taking orders.

Roaring Forks at WL might be good for you guys. give you an excuse to take the boat from FW to WL and check the place out.

At the Animal Kingdom Lodge it's called Mara.

Actually they are a table service location.

The Pepper Market at CSR is the best. Second to that we liked the one at PORiverside.

We are not a fan of any CS at Disney Studios, so either take the boat over and eat at one of the World Showcase restaurants or else take a bus to a resort. Our favorite CS restaurants are: Pepper Market at CSR, Mara at AKL, or Riverside Mill foodcourt at PORS.

We haven't eaten a lot of CS at the resorts, but I think our favorite would have to be Pepper Market at CSR.

I agree, for proximity Roaring forks @ WL, and Contempo @ CR are GREAT cs, and just a quick boat ride over! The flatbreads at Contempo are wonderful, as are the lucious cupcakes, and we LOVED the large roast beef sandwiches at Roaring forks.

Love the Boardwalk Bakery...nice selection of sandwiches and of course desserts!! YUM!! Well worth a walk/boat ride over from Epcot or HS.

We wouldn't usually drive to a resort for their CS location, but we've been at other resorts around lunch and gave it a try. DH loves to get a massage once on every trip and he loves the Spa at GF. When he does this the kids and I "shop around the monorail" while he's getting his massage. We've often eaten at Gasparilla Grill after his massage and we love it. They have options there that we've never seen on other CS menus.

We also stayed at POFQ for the first time in Oct. and really enjoyed the CS there. Their shrimp poboys were great!

I have to confess, I've not eaten there, as we usually end up doing a TS at Kona. But their menu intrigues me, and the pics folks have posted look fantastic. I also like that you can get a Dole Whip there ;-)

Then, you can just take a Poly boat over to the MK. I really hope to do this on our next trip.
