Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

I love that Henry learned the boy/girl difference at CBJ. How many people can say that?!! I haven't been to see the bears since sometime in the 80's!! Somehow I don't think it has changed much ;)
Your dessert buffet looks delightful! I always think about doing this and never do!
Glad the crisis was averted with Casey's :rolleyes1
I thought of you a few times last week when I was in Disney....at Chick-Fil-A:lovestruc and of course at BW :goodvibes
Oooh I hope H went on TT. That is one of my favorite rides :thumbsup2

Tracy

Isn't it just hilarious that he realized the difference THERE of all places?! :rotfl: We won't ever forget about it, I'm sure! It will be a great story to tell him when he's older!

Eventually I will be updating again :-)laughing:) so you'll find out if my car-lovin' boy dared Test Track or not....

Another great update! You did a really nice job on your fireworks pictures. :thumbsup2

I still remember the day...I was tagging-along with my older sister, visiting her elementary school before the school-year began (I wasn't old enough for school yet). Somehow a discussion came up about boys and girls and she said "You don't know the difference between boys and girls". I said, "Yes I do. Girls have long hair and boys have short hair." I could tell by the reaction I got, that I wasn't yet fully-informed.

:rotfl2: I wonder what Henry thinks is the difference between boys and girls...the girl bear in the CBJ wears a tutu....

Great MK update! We've never done the Jamboree either...that is one I want to def. do on our upcoming trip while my girl's are still young enough to enjoy it! That dessert party looks amazing! I'm a huge fan of desserts, but my husband is not and thinks it's a waste. UGH...maybe I can work on him some more for our next trip!

I'm not a huge fan of desserts actually - but I LOVE the ones they offer and that they are mini, so it seems lighter and more simple. There is fresh fruit too. Creme brulee, tiramisu, and chocolate covered strawberries are my top 3 favorite desserts.

And mint Oreos and Shamrock Shakes. ;)

Brook, great update and pictures! :goodvibes

Kathy

Thank you! I took a bazillion more Wishes pics, but they didn't turn out - I need to let Joe have the camera again during fireworks, he has a steadier hand than I do!

I see you're in the middle of replies, so just a quick post to say I"m hoping for the very best for the job! Having just gotten turned down, those on my thread reminded that "what will be will be" and that "all things work for the good...".

So cute Henry was ready and excited to travel on his own without Mommy. Good sign of growing into a big boy. :thumbsup2

Have a WONDERFUL time at the wedding!! I"m sure it will be a special day despite not being in St. Lucia!

Happy Double Digits!! I did my double digits until Florida dance on Wednesday & today is double digits until Disney!!

:cheer2::cheer2: :banana::banana: :dance3: :banana::banana: :cheer2::cheer2:

Have a great time at the wedding!
That Henry is so sweet! I bet he is having a ball playing in the snow w/cousins!

Good luck about the job.

And so cool that Henry is away and loving it. You guys deserve some time alone ;)

THAT conversation will be Joe's department! :rotfl:

How was your trip?!?! :hyper:

Yeah, I *thought* DH would do that too. When the questions started coming...not so much.

My trip was SO much fun. Food and Wine was fantastic.:thumbsup2 Girls trip to Disney, what could be better? :cloud9: Well, longer would have been better - but I'll take what I can get!

Now plotting family trip for 2012 - just need to get DH on board - which is always the challenge...

Good luck on the job and have fun at the wedding!

Henry flew out of NYC yesterday with his Auntie KK. Despite just thinking about it all for days before would make me tear up, I didn't cry! I choked them back. He was so, so excited. He gave me a few big hugs and lots of kisses, then looked to KK and said, "Okay! We go now!" KK said that he kept telling her, "I like my Mommy. My Mommy is nice." over and over again. :lovestruc Poppa sent a picture of Henry playing in the snow - something he has been looking forward to doing. We also spoke to him last night on Skype, which was a lot of fun. He's having a BALL with his Grammy and Poppa and tonight has a sleep-over with his cousin.

And today marks 99 days to Disney! DOUBLE-DIGIT DANCING!!!!!! :yay:

I know Henry has had a 'big old time' (a southern phrase) with the family.

Double digits are good. :dance3:
If I can get this package paid off by January 12th, we'll see you down there. ;)

Well, I am all caught up with your TR and I just wanted to say, you can count me in with everyone else on this thread- I am officially head-over-heels in love with Henry! He is so stinkin' CUTE! He really reminds me of the things my boys used to do when they were little...Awwww....

Very excited for you about your Mom moving to Florida, ESPECIALLY because she's going to be living near Orlando! :thumbsup2 My MIL lives in Florida- about 7 hours away, so it doesn't work out so well.....

And WOW! You are really taking a long trip to WDW in March!!! Lucky YOU AGAIN!!!:yay:

Ellen

Hey Brook!
I hope the wedding went well, I'm glad to see they were able to get all the details together for NYC! That's impressive!
I'm hoping that you heard some positive news on the job front! Is Henry back yet? Did he miss you and Joe bunches and bunches or was he having way too much fun in the snow and sleepovers?:goodvibes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

We are currently at my Mom's celebrating. Henry is having a ball with his cousins and Joe and I are enjoying doing nothing.

Tomorrow we go see my Grandma, then to Joe's Mom's house. Saturday will bring another big meal.

I'm thankful for many, many things. And of course, Joe and Henry top the list!

I hope you are all having a great holiday...and to my non-American friends-I hope you too are having a great day! :goodvibes

Just a quick update too on life - I didn't get the job...which is a tad disappointing, but overall, I'm okay with it. I wasn't crazy about the hours they presented to me and I thought the pay was a bit on the low side as well. So I'm certain something better is out there, ready for me at just the right timing.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Brook!:goodvibes And to Joe and Henry too of course! Sounds like you're having a great time! I'm waiting for my turkey to finish roasting and then it's a mad dash to finish up all the side items in time! Next year I'm not cooking!:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about the job but if the hours weren't what you were looking for and the pay not so great, then it worked out for the best for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for another great job opportunity!:goodvibes Stay positive girl!:goodvibes

Good luck on the job hunt!! And if you are looking for career suggestions, I had a dream about you last night, and it involved work! We were on vacation in NYC and we went into a Stride Rite because one of the boys needed new shoes. I immediately recognized you and you helped us get shoes for whichever kid needed them. As we were leaving, you took a break and we all went out to lunch together. I ordered nuggets and fries for me kids and you were horrified that I gave them such junk food. :lmao:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Brook, sorry about not getting the job, but you have the right attitude about it!:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are having fun with the family:goodvibes
Sorry to hear you didnt get the job.....but that just means the right one is just around the corner:thumbsup2 Everything will work out for the best:thumbsup2

I didn't get lots of jobs on this job search. Mostly they were wrong because of hours or location. When the right one came along I knew it and wouldn't you know it was the only one that I did actually get. Things do work out if we give them enough time. So glad your trip is going great!

Sorry to hear about the job - but everything happens for a reason. Something better will come along! :thumbsup2 Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! :)
