Water Delivery FAQ

Does Costco do it anymore? I would like to order from them since water is the only thing we want and the Garden Grocer's minimum order is $40.

You're right, we all have different taste. I just assumed that it must be a regional thing. So to this west coaster it didn't taste anything like home or the stuff we would buy in the store here, but thank goodness for the cheap water anyway!

I definitely agree that it may be a regional thing...We travel to Florida quite a bit from California and always found that the Nestle/Zephyrillis brand has a weird taste to it. We always make an effort to either find Arrowhead or Crystal Geiser brand. Just a personal preference. ;)

Snowwhite1:

Yes, personally, I found Florida tap water unpleasant when I visited WDW three years ago. It seems to have a sulfur smell.

Now, I will admit I may be a bit spoiled as the tap water in my area is quite good.

Anyway, I recommend ordering a case of bottled water. We ordered water and some groceries from Garden Grocer last time and it worked out well. We are planning to do this again when we visit WDW again at end of November.

Have a great first trip to the World!

We are here now. I ordered three cases from Costco for $7.99 each. It was a single order, but because Costco shipped them in separate packages the GF business center or whatever it's called tacked on $10 PER CASE fee. DH told the concierge he was "disappointed" in such a charge and they promptly removed it. I just want everyone considering Costco to be aware of that.

It took about 2 days for it to arrive.

Thanks for all the helpful answers. I am ordering mine today hoping it gets there by friday.

That should be perfect. get the order in a s soon as you can today. It should arrive thursday or friday morning.. only bad side to ordering is that if it doesn't arrive friday the next delivery day is Monday, (no weekend deliveries) but getting it in today you should be fine. Have a great trip! :)

I ordered mine today as well. It will be there on Friday since we check in on Saturday!!!

Just placed my order with Garden Grocer, selected 7-9pm time frame but won't be checking in until 8:30pm will they just leave it at front desk if it arrives before we do?
I did not want to wait until 2pm next day...

Can you order water from anyplace and have it shipped to your resort? I noticed Amazon sells bottled water, so I thought I would order some cases as well as some snacks. They ship for free if you spend over $25. Would my resort then charge me a fee?

Unfortunately it had to do with your resort. CSR is a "convention" resort. There is a $10 service fee charged here because of it. It does not seem fair to regular guests but this type of resort gets slammed with vendors shipping items in by the truckload for conventions on property. CSR does have it's own area that specifically deals with packages that come into the hotel. I believe the same goes for the Contemporary and maybe the Swan/Dolphin? I have shipped to all three all star resorts, POP, and the Poly without fees. At the Poly the water was waiting in my room. At the Value resorts your package can be picked up at the front desk, (NOT luggage services) upon check in. Sorry you had the trouble with your water. Hope this info helps. :)

We placed an order with Garden Grocer - water, some snacks, diapers - and we got a text before we even got on the plane that it was delivered and waiting for us at Bell Services at POP - well we went straight to our room on arrival and it was all in there. Didnt ask for it to be delivered to the room but it was nice that it was there.

Yes, they will leave it with Bell Services.

I'm quite curious about this, too. ANyone ever used Amazon??

I just ordered from Costco. Water $6.99, Non-member surcharge $ .35, Tax $ .48. Total delivered to POP $7.82. Much better than $2.50 a bottle!

I checked Staples and they wanted to charge a $7 shipping fee!

I just ordered mine too today for 9/23 arrival. When I put in the Pop Century street address on Costco's shipping site, it said it was not valid. But I clicked "Use this address" and it went through. Hopefully it will be waiting for us there, but if it isn't I'm only out $7.82.

If I had to speculate (and I do), I would say that Costco's site automatically checks the delivery address against the USPS database and returns an error message because each resort's street address does not "exist" as far as USPS is concerned. This shouldn't make any difference because those addresses are fine with UPS, FedEx, and other private couriers. And I'm pretty sure those are the shippers that Costco uses, so most likely everything will be all right.

On 9/20, 2 days after I ordered the water, I still had not received a confirmation that it had been shipped. So, I contacted Costco customer service to ask when it would ship. They said my order was not transferred to the local vendor correctly and that they would take care of it.

We arrived at POP on 9/23. On 9/24 I received the confirmation that the order had shipped via UPS and it gave me a tracking number. The water did arrive at POP on 9/28 - which unfortunately was the day we left. :lmao: Oh well!

If anyone is staying at POP and would like a free case of water let me know!

And if you order water for yourself give it more time than I did! I knew 6 days was cutting it close. But I think if there wouldn't have been a glitch it probably would have arrived right on time.

And we found we really didn't need the bottled water anyway. We used every fountain we walked by in all 4 parks and none of them tasted bad except the one on Tom Sawyer's island. We refilled our 2 water bottles at the fountains and stored them in a small soft-sided 6-can cooler with a freezer bag full of ice from the hotel. It worked out great and kept them really cold ALL day in 90 degree heat! Some fountains weren't as cold as others but it wasn't a big deal at all.

It would depend on the resort- you are charged a fee for recieving packages at resorts with a business center.

I am trying to decide between Amazon (Prime member), Walmart, Staples or Costco. Have seen comments re: Staples & Costco, but what about the others? Thanks!:)
