I downloaded a program to keep track of DVC points and vacations etc. but it was lost when my computer crashed!:(
Im pretty sure I got the link to the program from this board. Can anyone help?

Hello

I was wondering if anyone can direct me to a new link for this program?

Thank you
Mary

Wow - 7 years old? I think that program is long gone from posts I read elsewhere.

DISer Caskbill had a great program that many here used, but unfortunately he passed away and the program has not been updated by anyone.

There was a Mac based program called MouseManager that I used a few times, but I just let it go - I didn't find it that helpful or necessary.

I don't know that there any current programs out there to track your contracts & points - or at least none I have heard anyone talk about.

There are good rumors that Caskbill's (Most Excellent) program will be updated in the near future and once again available.

Stay Tuned! :)

I also still use his planner. I would be lost without it. I hope the rumour comes true. It is a great program.

That's great news to hear!! Thanks in advance to whoever is working on it!

Here is a link to Frederickson's DVC Point Manager: http://home.comcast.net/~davidfredrickson08/DVCManager/download.html

Like many of the previous posts I preferred Caskbill's DVC Planner. Here's the link: http://web.nalu.net/~wneth/dvcplanner.htm I hope the rumors of an update are true.:thumbsup2 It would be nice to have a version for the iPhone.

I'm currently using D Point for the iPhone: http://www.virtualmickey.com/page2/page2.html It does a pretty good job. Much nicer than the planner at the DVC website.

I hope this is true! Loved his program, and sorely miss it.

This doesn't appear to have been updated over the last year or so. David

I noticed that it only has the 2010 point chart updates, not 2011. Even when the program was current it wasn't one of my favorites though I did play around with it. There are several promising apps available for the iPhone/iPad.

Have you seen any that will track several memberships/contracts with banking and borrowing capacilities?

David

Yes and No. The program I use, D Point, allowed me to input my two memberships/use years and shows a banking reminder 2 months before the banking deadline. Nothing on borrowing points however. I'm still keeping my eye out for the better DVC mousetrap.

The points files are comma delimited with a nice header line. SHouldn't be too difficult to create new ones for the 2011 pts. Dump into a spdsht and then some data entry. No biggie.

The DVC Planner app for iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad has just been updated to version 3.0.

Those using iOS 4.0 and above will be able to create and view calendar events from within the app. There is also a contracts section where people can enter in and email their contract data. There's also a resorts section and a guide section.

I really hope Caskbill's comes back. It was the best!

Hello,

We are new DVC members and were having a hard time trying to determine how many points we should initially purchase. We did many theoretical trips on paper and found this to be quite difficult to keep track of. As I am a programmer at heart, and could not find anything that would meet our needs I decided to create one.

So here it is.
http://www.dvcproplan.com

This web site is a free DVC point planner which we think works pretty well. ;-)

Some highlights.

Run hypothetical vacations point plans. Add or remove trips to see how that effects your overall points.

Since we sometimes like to invite people with us to share the Magic, the site allows you to invite people to take part in the planning via a private trip discussion board.

We find the best way to vacation Happily Ever After, is to have a base trip itinerary. So the site has this as well. If you invite quests they can also see the itinerary, just in case they have some other plans they want to discuss.

I am forgetful, so we added a reminder for the trips. Both at 180 days, and again at 90 days.

The site also includes a Total Cost of Ownership calculator and a separate DVC Room calculator.

Please feel free to check it out. And as this is just the start of it we would love to hear any suggestions or comments you have.
