Does southwest pick up the bags from the port now also?
We have a long time to wait at the airport and were thinking about finding something to do but we will have all our luggage. So I was hoping that they now do this. DOes anyone know?
Thanks in advance?

We have been told by a SWA employee that SWA said they will start participating w/DCL. When it will start is the question. I am hoping that happens fairly quickly.

The only way to participate with it is that you have to be under the DCL transfers to the airport. I will try to find out when they are going to be implementing the luggage transfer from the ship to the airport since I work for SWA. When I find out the date they are to begin then I will post it on here.

Not to hijack the thread but, I also have luggage to airport question. We are not taking disney transportation and will be on an airtran flight that day at 11:46 am...is that too early for them to take our luggage? THanks!

If you haven't booked DCL transfers either to or from the port then you will not be able to use the onboard airline check in and you will have to take the bags to the airport yourself.

Thanks for clearing that up...i was reading my passporter book and I swear it said you didnt have to be on dcl transportation and I thought that was strange. Didnt know we couldnt do airline check in, bummer. Thanks for the quick reply.

As mentioned, in order to participate in the OAC program you need to purchase at least one leg of DCL transfers and be booked on a participating airline (you don't have to book air with DCL but just with a participating airline but must at least book transfers with them). AirTran is a participating airline and you could always add one way of DCL transfers (port to MCO is the smartest). It will cost you $35 pp to do this. I believe you also have to have a flight after 11:25 am so you would qualify.

Can you cancel your current transportation plans if you really wanted to participate in the OAC program?

The Passporter has had some mis info from time to time and this is one of them.
