Resort Luggage pickup

So we are doing 4 days at wdw then a 3 night cruise on the wonder. Our ressies are separate how will the luggage pick up work?

Last year I had booked the cruise and then later added on WDW for prior to the cruise and I was still able to have my luggage transfered to the ship for me. If you're staying at a hotel that actually has a DCL desk there just go and talk to them and they will make all the arrangements for you.

I was wondering if they still do that for WDW guests.
How did that work for you and do you remember the cost? Thanks.

There actually isn't a cost for it. You do have to make sure that you're staying at one of the resorts that the DCL bus actually picks up at (they don't pick up at all of them). We were staying at Port Orleans French Quarter and they had a desk in the lobby and when I saw the woman there I asked her about it and she saw that we were on the list. Just make sure that they linked your bookings otherwise you'll have to take them yourselves, I believe. The truck that comes and picks up your luggage at the resort had actually never came and got ours so our luggage was on the bus that we took to the cruise terminal and they loaded and unloaded it there for us (which I'm sure you could also do that). We also had the DCL bus pick us up at the resort, the fee for taking the DCL bus is like $70 R/T.

We've used the busses, towncar services, and rental cars in the past. I just remember someone saying that they were able to have DCL transport their luggage for a small fee so they could rent a smaller car and not have to deal with their luggage at the port. Sorry, that's what I thought you were talking about.

I believe that DCL now picks up from all resorts. I believe that changed earlier this year.

Can you have your luggage picked up even if you aren't taking the DCL bus to the airport?
