We’re back from our trip and I’m ready to start another Darling Family Trip Report. Welcome back to old friends and I’m happy to make new friends too.:goodvibes First up are the introductions. These will be short and sweet. The Darling Family consists of me, Mrs. Darling though most people call me Jenny, my loving DH (who magically transforms into Peter Pan at Disney World), our 10 year old Wendy, 8 year old John and 6 year old Michael. To make things easy here is a shot of all of us together taken a few trips ago.

If you are interested in past trip reports just click on the dates and resorts in my siggie and that should take you there.

This trip was a quick one. We were in the world for 3 days and 2 nights. I would have loved to stay longer, but work calls and the kids are in school. We’re going down for a week in January for the Marathon events so we had to make this one short. This trip had its ups and its downs, but overall it was a great success. Jump on board and let the adventure to Neverland begin!:cool1:

Day 1: Our Arrival
Heading out for the Night
Our First Photopass Shoot
Royalty Among Us Once Again
Our First Ride
More Photopass Pictures
A Visit to Pixie Hollow
The Party is in Full Swing

Day 2: The Morning After

Day 3: An AKV Morning

I am on board for another Darling TR!:thumbsup2

I'm here!!!! Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

I'm here and looking forward to reading all about the Darlings' Halloween adventures!

I am definitely joining in again!

I'm in too!

:welcome: to all! I'm happy to see lots of old friends and a few new ones too! I'm planning on getting an update in this morning.

I was up before the crack of dawn, but not to head to the airport. I had to get in a short run.:rolleyes1 May sound crazy to go for a run the day we left, but I’m training for the January marathon and if there is one thing I’ve learned from past race experiences it is that quality of training greatly influences how much fun race day is. So I had to get those miles in. I arrived home around 7:30 and everyone was up and excited. The bags were packed and we headed out the door around 8:15.:woohoo: Uneventful trip to the airport. I pulled out the camera when we were in the security line and snapped this shot.

Check out the lady behind us. :rotfl2: Gave us our first laugh of the trip.

It was an uneventful flight as well. We arrived at MCO at 12:45 or so. We rented a car this trip. Shortly after picking up the rental car we saw this lovely site.:cloud9:

This picture was taken at 2:00 pm. We were debating about what to do for food. We hadn’t eaten lunch, but we were planning on an early dinner so we didn’t want a big lunch now. We were headed to our hotel for the night (Shades of Green), but I told DH to turn into the Polynesian on our way. I was hankering for a little something yummy.;) We parked and headed toward the lobby. Here is a shot of everyone walking with the monorail above. Felt like we were home.:goodvibes

We walked into the lobby and John just started grinning ear to ear. He loves the Polynesian even though we have never stayed there. He insisted on a photo.

We headed over to Captain Hooks where we all picked up a cup. A cup for what you say? For these of course. Can you guess which one is mine?:rotfl:

Michael had an ice cream bar instead. We sat in Captain Hooks, ate our Dole Whips and just relished in the fact that we had arrived. Felt great to be back.:hippie: After finishing up the yummy pineapple goodness we headed back to the car and made the short drive over to Shades of Green for our 1 night stay. For anyone that doesn’t know Shades of Green is the military hotel that is right across from the Polynesian. We are eligible to stay there because DH is a DOD civilian. It is a nice hotel with very large rooms for a very reasonable price. We figured that would be a great place to stay for our party night because of its close location to the Magic Kingdom. We didn’t plan on being in the room much at all so it didn’t make sense to shell out the big bucks for one of the Disney monorail resorts when this was almost as convenient for a third of the price. We checked in and headed to our room. As we went through the lobby we passed by this Mickey Mouse.

We found our room (sorry no pictures), but we didn’t stay long. Everyone changed into their costumes. We were excited for the upcoming evening. The Darling Family was taking on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and we had the perfect costumes.:yay: Stay tuned to see them!

Welcome Back! Looking forward to reading more.
