Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

Nice update!

We think the Country Bears are fun but they aren't on our "must do list" either. We visit them maybe every other trip.

Henry is such a cutie and it sounds like he's so fun! That is such a great age :goodvibes

Your pictures from the dessert party are great! We went to one on our trip too and loved it! Those strawberries were the best! :)

HA, that sounds awesome at the Country Bears with the people who knew all the songs. I honestly haven't seen that show since probably our second trip...all I know is we have some home videos of it! Maybe in March we'll get to it again.

Bummer the Tiki Room was having problems. That's another attraction we don't do very often but I guess it qualifies as a "classic" so it's nice to do every once in a while. I kind of enjoyed it the last time we went.

Love the tour through adventureland and Frontierland and ending it with the dessert party.
I never thought I would ever get to do that since I wouldn't do it alone and my family may not want to be "trapped" there instead of riding rides.;)

Well in Oct., I DID. Through a crazy series of events I was able to enjoy the dessert party with a great view of the castle. It was wonderful.

Excellent update! I love all the memories that you will have for a lifetime of this trip! Seems like the perfect age for Henry! We enjoyed the dessert party too but unfortunately, it was POURING rain so no tinkerbell :( So thanks for your video!!

Skip love the Country Bears too. I thought it was dreadful. LOL! But it is now somehting he and Claire like to do. I think I might've skipped it last trip, but can't remember now.

Great update, Brooke!

I went to see the country bears last month for the first time in, I dunno, maybe 25 years? And I noticed that same cult-following thing...a bunch of people were singing along, clapping, hootin' and hollerin'. It confused me a little, because I was sitting in the back and the sound quality was so bad, I couldn't figure out how anyone could hear the words at all! But a cult following makes sense.

I thought it was fun, in any case.

The Dessert Party sounds so intriguing...

And I hate to say it (hope it won't get me banned from your TR, or anything!), but my first experience with your beloved corn dog nuggets was really disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high? They tasted like they'd been sitting out for quite some time, though, so I'm going to give them another chance someday. Hopefully I just had them on a bad night.

too funny about henry and the boy and girl bears! LOL! I don;t remember much about that show either because Caleb screamed the whole time because he wanted to run and it was about nap time!

Dessert wishes looks yummy!

I actually ate the corn dog nuggets when we went there in Feb because you liked them soo much! I actually liked them and I am not a corn dog fan...i'd normally rather have a hot dog!

Good luck with the job search, I just accepted an offer today!

I can't believe Joe wasn't wild about the Corn Dog Nuggets...how are you still married to him? :confused3 (kidding, obv)

We did the Wishes Dessert Party this past trip...wayyyyy too much sugar for me! :hyper:

Oh! And I almost forgot! On my first trip, when I was a whole month shy of turning 3, my favorite "ride" was the Treehouse. My parents still laugh about how many times they went through it!!

OMG - now I'm drooling...those wonderful little balls of love! :lmao: I LOVE  those doughnut holes!

We have to hit Swiss Family each trip as it is one of Mark's favorite things in the park. I've only seen the Country Bears once and thought it was ok...probably ready to see them again next trip.

:lmao:Joe wasn't a fan of the corndog nuggets! That made me laugh because I'd already commented on your tr that I didn't get all the hype! Sacrilegde on Joe's part though!

This was a super update Brook. We absolutely love the Swiss Family Treehouse! It's an awesome classic Disney movie anyway but the treehouse is so cool! Loved all your pics of it, it felt like I was there again!:goodvibes DD10 has a crush on Fritz!

Ugh, the Country Bear Jamboree! We went last Oct. because my in-laws were adamant about going, they said it was one of the best attractions ever. I beg to differ! DH and I were just looking at each other while my in-laws were howling with laughter! They loved it and the rest of us were like :confused3. Different strokes for different folks!

I'd love to try out the Wishes dessert party sometime. You got some fabulous shots too!:goodvibes

Great Update. I actually just booked a Wishes Dessert Party last week, based partially on you talking about it on a previous TR. So I'm glad that you still like it. I'm sure we will like it too.

What a fun update! I love seeing Henry's expressions in the various pictures. You can tell that he is having the best time.

We didn't get to go through the treehouse this past trip because I knew my mother couldn't possibly go up and down that many steps. So, I really enjoyed your pictures.

While I'm not one of the "cult followers" of the Country Bears, I do enjoy it. The show always seems better when the crowd gets into it by clapping and stomping their feet.

We used to watch the fireworks from the location where the dessert party is held now. Like you said, it's not the best of views but you can sit and relax. I've been thinking about booking the Wishes Dessert Party but haven't made up my mind yet.

Great update. We have yet to take our 4 year old to Country Brear Jamboree and I haven't been since I was a kid. I think I want Abby to experience some of the classics this time.

The dessert party looked fabulous!!!!

However, he certainly acts like a 3 year old currently...I'm so ready for him to be DONE with this stage! :headache:

I always said I never understood why people went on and on about the 'terrible twos', with both my boys 3 was a much more challenging age!

We've never done the Country Bears, I'm sure eventually I'll get around to seeing the show, there are just always so many other things that I want to do that it gets pushed to the bottom of the list!

Ahhhhh, you brought back some really great memories with your Wishes dessert party update :cloud9: I'd love a mini creme brulee right now!

Great update Brook! Loved the fact that Henry enjoyed Pirates this time around, because Alexa hated it last time too. She still says she wont ride it next trip, but I am hoping that she will warm up to it. She says "Small World not Pirates". I guess the boat ride at SM is less stressful for a 3 yr old:rotfl:

I also love the pics of the dessert party. We had it scheduled for our trip this past May, but cancelled while we were down there. I was afraid that my 15 yr old Jonah would overeat and puke in the room. He tends to get sick at some point each trip from eating too much junk and greasy type foods. He has puked during the night at the WL and POP:sad2::sad2:
Not fun...but I would love to try the party sometime:thumbsup2

Cant wait to hear about TT and Henry......

That is so nice of your sis in law to fly in to get Henry. Im sure he will be completely spoiled by the time you get home from St Lucia!

Great update Brook. That is great that Henry liked Pirates this time:thumbsup2

Too bad about Tiki Room. I know it gets meh reviews but it holds a special place in my heart as the very first attration we went to on our very first trip in 1999.:goodvibes

We have done Country Bear a few times but not lately. With my 2 DS's who are 21 & 17 they are not so into that one!!:rotfl:

The dessert party looks wonderful!! DH & I almost did it last trip but decided against it. Everything looks so good though. All I would need would be the cannollis & the tiramisu. Yumm!!!

Great video with Tink:thumbsup2

Wonderful update!!

First of all I hope things are going well in the job search!! Thinking of you!!!

Country Bears...hmmmmm...never have seen it, keep meaning to! I think in January I'm going to have to finally cave and see the Bears for the first time!!!

Love that you guys got to accomplish so much and Henry really enjoyed it!

OOOH the Dessert party looks so yummy and what great shots you got of the fireworks!! AWESOME!!

I should be responding to my own TR, but its late and I'm tired. Waiting for the boys to get back from their late and far away soccer game.

Loved your last update, as usual. I am glad that Henry like Pirates. Oh, and the tree house. I think I got the idea of going there last year from some old pictures you posted. Its so perfect for a little kid.

Nice wishes pictures. What's up with the tiny little desserts? Were they always like that? Those chocolate strawberries - YUM!

Henry's move is soooooooooo cute..."whatca doing mommy?" How cute!
