If booked in a GTY room on the Dream, When may room # show up?

We booked for the dream for may 5, 2011 while on the Wonder last week in a cat 6b room with verandah. We were hoping to get either an inside room or window room to save money, and today a cat 9A showed up-window room so we changed it. They only room available was a GTY room, so i was just curious when we might actually see a room number. Would it be closer to sailing, or will it show up before that?

GTY's can happen anytime but usually it is 45-30 days out....but could even be up until you sail but the 45-30 days out is the norm.

Most likely it will show up closer to the time that full payment is due or shortly after. However, I have seen GTY rooms not show up until closer to the sail date. Depends on how full the ship is.

I just passed the 45 day mark till my cruise and just got my stateroom assignment. Got upgraded from a cat 6 to a cat 5, too!
