I just can't believe this hurricane season. It is never ending!!!! A storm is headed toward the Cayman Islands now, slated to hit this weekend! I am crossing my fingers things are calm for the Oct 30 western........

I'm with ya on that. We are on the Eastern 23rd, and I'm worried about our Day 6 Castaway visit. The track may have it crossing Florida around the day we would be at CC or arriving back at Port Canaveral. I'm sure you will be fine for yours.

I think you are OK too. I think this is supposed to stay in the western caribbean, possibly hitting the States.

My ears perked up this morning when I overhead the weather guy this may be big storm by the end of NEXT week which would be for our 10-30-10 cruise!! Hope not...we are flying in on the 29th....I don't care once I am in Florida but I don't want our flight to be cancelled or anything.

Oh, No. What do you mean MJ? The track looks like it is going west over mexico. Do they think this will hit the US somewhere? I am so nervous now. I keep saying that if this things get done we will have great weather after that. Hurricanes usually pull out all the storms and weather is great.

I hope there aren't any more on the horizon.

Since some of us in the mid-south (Memphis/Northern Mississippi) are in an extreem drought, I'd love for this thing to hold at a LOW cat 1 or tropical storm AND make a MS or TN land fall. Rain Please! My catfish will be REALLY happy.

MichaelG, YES! We had a teaser sprinkle the other day, but nothing at my house since the beginning of August. I know other areas have received rain, but we are desperate! The humidity is so low that it doesn't matter how much we water it doesn't help.

I do hope that the weather is clear for the upcoming cruises!

The track I saw for Tropical Storm (or tropical depression) Richard was to stay south of Grand Cayman and go across Belize to the west. Hoping for everyone's sake it doesn't turn into a hurricane.

Looks like our cruise tomorrow and the Western leaving on the 30th will NOT be affected by this storm.

I agree. in order for it to effect us on the 30th, the upper winds have to "help" it.. when it does get past the Yucatan Peninsula.. it will be destroyed by them when it hits the gulf. No worries. It wouldn't be Richard to worry about.. it would have to be another storm to be an issue. *cross fingers*

So far, the Weather Channel just says isolated/scattered thunderstorms (always in given at Disney World), while Accuweather says "mostly sunny".

I'm hopeful....I don't want to have to deal with DD if she doesn't get the chance to swim in the Animal Kingdom Lodge pool.
