Going on DCL 3 day Bahama cruise on 28th october, we have booked Palo but are still not sure if we should skip this as we will miss the experience of one of the other restaurants. What would you do????:confused3

If you have never been it's a treat that's for sure. We did go on our 4 day but not our 3 night. Depending on what your dining rotation is I would say it's ok to miss Parrot Cay. (Everyone has their favorites) You can go to Parrot Cay for lunch when you board and have brunch and get a good taste of the food.(And it's an excuse to go on another DCL cruise) Palo's is a nice relaxing experience and the food is amazing. If you are concerned about missing a show you can book your dinner early and tell the wait staff and they will have you out in time to see the show.
You can click on my trip report in my signature and see some pics of food you will be eating.

OP, not sure if this is your first DCL cruise or not, but it took me 11 cruises and DH 9 cruises to get to Palo for dinner. For us it's a been there done that thing. We'll go back for brunch (offered on sea days) but probably not dinner again.

If it's your first DCL cruise, I would say no. Would not want to miss one of the 3 main dining rooms for Palo.

If it's your first cruise, I would say that it's probably better not to skip the other restaurants for Palo. Perhaps take a look at the menus though and see whether there are any meals you aren't that fussed about.

You definitely don't want to miss Animator's Palate :)

On my first cruise, my group skipped Parrot Cay in favor Palo. On my second cruise, the group skipped Animator's Palette on the repeated night (this was before the pirate party started happening). After the cruise, the group wished we'd skipped Parrot Cay for Palo instead of the repeated AP night. Several cruises later, DW and I have tried Parrot Cay a couple of times, but it's still our primary choice to skip in favor of going to Palo. But food and environment tastes vary from person to person. I know there are people that love Parrot Cay, but DW and I have never cared for dinner there.

We skipped Parrot Cay to go to Palo on our first 3 nite and never regretted it. We still talk about that meal.

I would save it for the 7 day cruises. Unless you have no kids with you, then I would do it on the Lumiere's/Triton night of the rotation. :thumbsup2
