Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

Wow amazing pictures! Ancient Rome looks so beautiful...it amazes me that those things are still there and that you can actually go in the Coliseum!:cool1: Can't believe that if you don't have a tour guide, you have to wait for hours to get in there!

what a great update! Rome looks absolutely beautiful, and you definitely can't beat the historical factor. I love the chandelier in the hotel room :thumbsup2

Wow, I'm glad you didn't have to, but I can definitely imagine why people line up for hours to go in the Colosseum! Such a piece of history-- your pictures are terrific!

Love the Rome update.
It looks really amazing there.
I hope one day I will be able to visit.
So glad you had a great time.

Love the updates on your Italy trip! I always thought that the country I wanted to go to most was England, but your mini-TR is starting to convince me otherwise :goodvibes

Great Italy update! Wow you even look fabulous when it's hot out!!! So jealous! Gorgeous hotel room!

OK...nighttime viewing locations. We have watched Illuminations from almost every country. I have to say that my favorite spot is the bridge from UK to France. You have a great view without anything in the way (in fact, the Illumination cruise boats are docked right underneath you). It's also pretty close to the exit at the end! We've watched from Canada/UK to get out of there but there are usually trees in the way.

WISHES...someday I'm actually going to go early enough to watch from the Train Station. Until that day, we like to stay on Main St Square....again so we can leave quick. Plus you can see the fireworks head on. If we plan to stay in the parks after the fireworks, I like to watch from the Adventureland Bridge. Most of the fireworks are behind the castle in that view. If you watch from Tomorrowland Bridge, the fireworks aren't behind the castle BUT you do get a good view of Tink. I won't do WISHES dessert party again because I think it's a huge waste of money. Desserts weren't that thrilling and the view isn't great and since everyone gets up and stands at the railing- everyone is in your way anyway.

Oh wow, Rome looks incredible! That must have been such an amazing experience! :lovestruc Your pictures are gorgeous!

OH WOW!!! Your pictures are sooo amazing! What a fab. room :worship:

Great update!!! Your trip brings back so many great memories and I can't wait to return! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear about Pompeii, it was incredible, wasn't it?!

Thank you! Pompeii was definitely an adventure. ;)

I love the pictures of ancient Rome. I'm looking forward to Pompeii.

Thank you! It is an incredible place! :goodvibes

When you're there it is definitely hard to believe that you're standing in a place where one of the first civilizations was built! A tour guide is definitely the way to go! :thumbsup2

what a great update! Rome looks absolutely beautiful, and you definitely can't beat the historical factor. I love the chandelier in the hotel room :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes The amount of history in that one city is incredible!

You're so lucky to live in Europe and be able to visit so many amazing countries! I love how easy it is there to go from country to country. :thumbsup2

I can't believe we're now under 8 months until the big days! The time is really flying by! :woohoo:

Love the updates on your Italy trip! I always thought that the country I wanted to go to most was England, but your mini-TR is starting to convince me otherwise :goodvibes

Italy is beautiful, but I must say, I went to England four years ago and it is still my favorite country to visit. London and the countryside is amazing! Either one would be a fabulous trip, though! :thumbsup2

Haha! Thanks - I always feel like I look so gross when it's so hot outside!

Thanks for the Illuminations/Wishes tips! I bet the train station would be an excellent spot for Wishes, although I'm guessing it fills up pretty quickly. :confused3 If I ever see a spot there I'm definitely taking it! I've heard similar opinions about the dessert party here. :guilty:

How was your trip to Ireland?!

Oh wow, Rome looks incredible! That must have been such an amazing experience! :lovestruc Your pictures are gorgeous!

Thank you! It was definitely surreal to be in Rome! :goodvibes

OH WOW!!! Your pictures are sooo amazing! What a fab. room :worship:

I just updated...explains why I have been gone so long :goodvibes

Welcome back, Katie! :goodvibes And thank you!

8 MONTHS TO GO!

I can't believe we're already at another countdown - the months are really flying by! It's so exciting to think that eight months from now Miguel and I will be at the Poly on our honeymoon! :cloud9:

And speaking on the Polynesian, I thought that (in honor of 8 months to go) I could post about eight things that I'm really looking forward to while staying there! Here goes!

1) Going (really) deluxe
While this won't be our first stay at a deluxe hotel (we stayed at AKL in January, and I stayed at WL as a child) it's our first time staying at one of the "top-tier" deluxe hotels. Ahhh, luxury!

2) Wishes from the Poly Beach
I'm so excited to be able to watch Wishes from our hotel! It seems like such a romantic way to spend an evening.

3) Being on the Monorail
We love the monorail, and I always hate how infrequently we get to take it. I cannot wait to take the monorail to Epcot and MK!

4) The Volcano Pool
I can't wait to relax here! I love the themeing!

5) Tonga Toast!
I am so excited to try this DIS favorite! And I love that it's sold in the counter service place.

6) Dole Whips
Another treat I'm really excited to try! I've heard there's a dole whip machine at the CS place?! I see myself spending lots of time there!

7) Resort Hopping
I say every trip that I'm going to "hop" to the other resorts more but we never do because it takes so long to get there. With the monorail and the proximity to the other MK resorts, I see us doing lots of hopping and exploring on this trip.

8) The Lush Tropical Themeing
After the stress and work leading up to the wedding it's going to be so nice to relax in such a tropical, peaceful environment. I'm hoping we're going to feel like we're in paradise!

I love the new countdown! I really do think you will love the Poly...it is a perfect honeymoon resort. When we stayed there in May, I never got the chance to try Tonga Toast. But I definitely enjoyed most everything else on your list. I can't remember if you are pre-purchasing the Photopass cd or not, but we were able to find a photopass photographer in the lobby one afternoon. Something to keep in mind! We also loved being able to walk to the TTC. The Poly really is a great location :thumbsup2

Great countdown! :cool1: The Poly is so beautiful, I'm looking forward to exploring it more in a few weeks, I'd love to stay there someday! :) I'd love to watch Wishes from the Poly beach one night, that must be amazing! And that pool looks amazing! :cool1:

Great list! The Poly is a resort I would LOVE to stay at sometime, I've only ever eaten there. Can't WAIT to read all about your honeymoon in eight months or so! :goodvibes

Ok I am finally all caught up! You pictures from Italy are so pretty and looks like you had a great time. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Glad you planning for the wedding is going well and you are coming under budget on a few things....that is always exciting.

Love the new update and countdown for 8 months! The Poly is so pretty and watching Wishes form the beach is so much fun. As for the resort hoping we did that often staying there also. We even went to GF just to have lunch and be able to sit outside and look at the Castle from there. Speaking of which that is a fun thing to do at the Volcano pool is to be able to see the Castle from the pool!

OOOOH very excited pic update!! Makes me excited about the Poly and I'm not even staying there! HOW YOUNG ARE YOU that WL was open when you were "a child?" God i feel old now! :rotfl2:

Ireland was fabulous! Thanks for asking. I really need to start a PTR so I can sneak in a mini-TR and show off my pics. :thumbsup2
