I need to know if Private sessions are included in the price of PhotoPass?
anyone?...

I'm a bit confused- the Photopass service is free. It's only purchasing the pictures or products that has a price.

If you want a Photopass private photo shoot, there is a sitting fee for that.

The private sessions are not included when you purchase the photopass CD. However, you can often find photopass photographers at some of the resorts out and about taking pictures. Those can be added to your photopass CD.

There's a whole different pricing tier for the private sessions, but you'll often times find them in the resort in the evenings taking pictures of guests like they do in the parks.

When you make a reservation, you can inquire about the costs. It's reasonably priced for the service that you get. And you do get much better qualified photographers for these sessions. They have to go through a second portfolio interview to get into the resort portraits.

If you would like a couple of nice family photos, in a studio like setting, you may use the photographers at the Studios for the BBB pictures. Princesses have higher priority, but late in the afternoon, it's usually quiet for the photographer to grab some good shots. Many people use it during the Halloween parties, they keep the studio open for a few hrs into the party.

sorry to hijack....... 2 questions...... If we are wandering around, say, AKL,and see a photopass photographer,we can ask to have a pic taken?
and....we could go into BBB at a slow time and ask for a sitting? without getting any hair done?

In my experience, the photographer was the one who asked us. I don't know why you couldn't ask them - that's why they are there.

Yes to the roving AKL photopass photographer. If they are simply roving, taking photos is their job.

I would not go to the BBB to ask for a photo session. That photographer is there for BBB customers who paid for services at BBB. It would be similiar to trying to walk into a TS restaurant to meet the princess during a slow time--no they aren't busy, but others are paying extra for their services and won't be pleased to have others trying to get it for free.

The princesses are not paying anything extra for their pictures. Yes you may ask for a few sit down pictures at the studio. Princesses just have priority. But I took plenty of family photo pictures with no princesses, and more during the Halloween parties.

If you do the BBB, there is an additional 30$ for the picture package on the castle package. Which is the 1 -6x8 photo and 4 -4x6 photo (3 poses). This is also the same package that they sell at the restaurants for 30$, and during the holidays (I don't know if they brought it back or not) they sell the same package for every one.
For 30$ you get the cute little folder and your pictures. For the holiday/restaurants there's a stock photo included.
If you do the BBB without the castle package, your princess may still use the studio. And you're not paying anything more for the photographers to be there.

I was a Photopass Photographer.

The PP photographers at the deluxe resorts (not the private photo shoot ones) are not usually roving that I've seen. Our last few trips, they have been set up in the lobby with lights and everything and you can just walk up and have your photo taken. I haven't seen them every trip though but have seen them at the Poly and Wilderness Lodge.

I've also seen them at the Beach Club. Pretty much in whichever resort that does dining photos or private sessions. If they've got the cameras there, they'll have people working. It's also the way the shifts are broken up, and the fact that they only do the private sessions earlier in the daytime. They're only going to let 1 or 2 people work at the
"view stations", so when there's 1 or 2 extra people from earlier in the day finishing off their 8hr shift, they'll put them to work in the lobby areas.
