Which resort - Oct adult only trip

We just found out that DF's vacation was approved and he wants to take me to WDW for my birthday in October

This will be his first trip and my first adults only trip

Originally I thought the BC/YC area for the Food/Wine festival but the MNSSHP is also on so the WL might be a good option.... but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

This will be a short trip - 2 full days; the other are part travel days - only a short trip due to our work schedules but still we are going!!!!!

So any suggestions on which resort for an adults only trip? I really want him to see why we love WDW so much so it's very important to select the right resort

The resorts you listed are all excellent choices. You may want to check availability and let that guide your decision. I'd also consider POFQ.

Fortunately all the deluxe resorts are available for our time frame.

It's just figuring out which one.... I'm also considering the Poly for easy access to both MK and Epcot.

BUT I've never stayed there and DF wants to see why I love WDW so much so I'm not sure to go with a favorite or choose a new experience?

Need to book soon as time is running out quickly.....

Do YC or BC. With Food and Wine that would be the best. The buses go to the others. When we stayed at BC Christmas 06 and 07 we agreed that it was the best. We had never gotten the appreciation for Epcot until that trip. Before that it was all about MK. Also they have very easy access to DHS.

My hardest choice for this upcoming trip what what resort to book to have the Epcot access. I switched from BCV to YC and don't regret it.

My hubby and I have not stayed there, but we have toured it and as much as we have been to WDW, he and I both think that BW will be our next adult only visit. It is so convenient to EPCOT, HS, and the buses. Not to mention, the Boardwalk area with lots of frosty cold adult beverages.

I have to agree. Boardwalk area...for F&W. We are staying at BCV for our adult's only trip for that reason.

Definitely BW~ location near Epcot and HS. Great restaurants. Leisurely stroll for Illuminations. Entertainment on boardwalk. Beautiful area. Beautiful resort.

I would definitely stay in the EPCOT area. I am partial to the BW but they are all wonderful resorts in an ideal location especially for an adult only trip. The F&WF is right there and plus you have the BW options for dining & entertainment.

DH and I want quiet quiet quiet when we go to WDW for a long trip. The YC is the best for us because no one uses the quiet pool or hot tub, the resort itself is very relaxing and quiet and the location is great

Our Fav is the Poly because we went there for our first time for our Honeymoon. The resort is so romantic and really depending on what parks you will be going to it has the best transportation when you are going to Epcot and MK. Our fav parks are Epcot and MK. The resort has a pretty good choice for restaurants because you can take the monrail to the other resorts easily. We also enjoy the POR when we are going less expensively but then we always get a car. I hope you have agreat trip where ever you chose its fun to go Disney with your honey for the first time trip.

Be sure to check the WDW site for the current specials. We just booked BWI club level online and got 40% off for Oct.
Depending on when you are going, you might find a great deal.

Just got back from split stay WL and YC with DBF. YC more convenient to Epcot, but WL has such a romantic, cozy feel. We also noticed fewer kids at WL (rooms are a bit smaller so can't pack as many in). Between YC and BC, go with YC - DBF went over to BC to and said it was crawling with kids in comparison to YC. Also, had a lovely, quiet dinner at Artist Point in WL. Yachtsman Steakhouse at YC had great food, but tables closer together, kid sitting on floor in aisle between tables, making servers and patrons crawl over him. BW is shortest commute on boat to Epcot, but have never stayed there.

We were trying to choose a deluxe for our short adult only trip also. Ended up going with the WL. It was a bit cheaper and we haven't stayed there before. They only had the queen with bunk beds available for us with the code.

If you plan to go for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party then I would recommend the Contemporary since it's the closest resort to the Magic Kingdom and the only one with a walkway that goes there.

However if you plan to go for the Food & Wine Festival then I would recommend the Boardwalk Inn.

I'd want to stay near the F&W so I'd pick an Epcot resort -- most likely YC or maybe BWI with no kids. I feel like it's a more adult-area in general. If you're mostly at Epcot, then either one would be a good choice.

Poly's also a good choice since you are right about it giving you great access to both the MK and Epcot. Plus I think that walking around the gardens and the beach at night with all the tiki torches lit is quite romantic. And it has great theming, too. If you plan one day at Epcot and one at the MK, then I think Poly is a great choice.

DW and I spent 4 days there years back and found it to be romantic and quiet. All kinds of great restaurants, the Boardwalk, and a quick walk into EPCOT, which we did frequently!

Also, our balconey had a good view of the Illuminations fireworks at night while we looked across the lake at Boardwalk.

I would show your DF the different resorts and let him choose which theme seems to impress him the most.

WL & Poly --two you have mentioned would have best access to MK.

BC & YC, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin -- best access to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival.

Since it's such a quick trip, I would definitely stay at a resort closest to the park you will spend most time in.

DH and I just got back from our adults only trip. We stayed at the Poly and loved the romantic feel of the resort.

I'm not sure where you have stayed before but I've found that can make a difference. For me, dh and I love the wilderness lodge and gf for our adults only trips (or with kids). We have tried the epcot resorts for some adults only weekends too (bwi and bc) and found that if we aren't at a "mk" area resort, it just doesn't feel like disney to us! We thought both bwi and bc were nice, but we prefer the cozy wl, the beachy feel of the poly, and the relaxation and beauty of the gf. All while being able to see the monorail and castle, or hop on a boat.

We stayed at bc last time bc we only had 2 days plus travel like u, and thought it would be more convenient. I found myself so annoyed with the boat to dhs though and it just wasn't worth it to us.
