Is Stacey still a dowdy soccer mom?

Hi,
We are leaving for Disney on Sunday :cool1: Every year the Stacey "loop" of programming on TV is something we look forward to...it puts us to sleep at night...we're weird, I get it. Anway, last year we were disturbed to find that they had made Stacey from her perky self to dowdy boring soccer mom. We couldn't even watch it. Boo hiss. Will we find the same loop on Sunday? Did they bring her regular self back? What is in store for us?
TIA

Given that rate of progression (Stacy's only been around a few years as the resort TV spokesperson), I'd expect that now Stacy's going into her "empty nest" phase. Look for the large streaks of gray in her hair, with ample amounts of free time in her future.

Seriously, the same perky (and I think annoying) Stacy that was on resort TV in 2008 was still on there in April of this year. Maybe I'm just not watching resort TV closely enough to see the dowdiness.

It's still the boring Stacey doing the Disney Must Do's, interspersed with the wacky Stacey clips from the Disney Top 7's.

Short answer is yes, they put her in mom jeans. Nice mom jeans, still mom jeans.

Yes, she's still there in that dowdy outfit. This is definetly the worst one yet, it runs for all of about 6 or 7 minutes. My kids still loved it and watched it over and over again unfortunetly!

I couldn't believe how much she aged!

DH said, "Whoa! What happened to Stacey!"
lol

yeah she was annoying but it was soooooo funny! she had so many funny quotes and being the nerds we are, when walking thru the park we'd quote it. For example everytime we would ride rockin roller coaster my brother and I would say "In The name of all that rocks, lets hit it dude!" yeah dumb but it was funny. We went in December and couldnt even finish watching the whole thing because she seemed so boring

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Stacey is in her late 30s at least... old enough to be a dowdy soccer mom I guess!

ohmygosh...I did not mean to offend anyone....just fyi, I am in my late 30s, have 3 kids under age 9 and drive a fabu minivan...and I am quite certain, not um, a fashion plate...at the end of the day , I have no problem laughing at myself...that said...Stacey should not be looking like someone I would bump into at my daughters' school..not so long a go her "image" or style or whatever was completely different and there was no reason to make her look so um, mature? She should still be the girl who says goofy things and harasses characters ;) What they did to her was wrong wrong wrong! Ugh.

I don't think she looks all that dowdy, either. And if those are mom jeans she's wearing, I need to find out where she shops...

Her full name is Stacey J Aswad and she does have her own web site. She's been doing the 7 things loops since 2005. No specific age given but her work history goes back 20 years so she is at least on her 30s. I wouldn't say dowdy but she can't look bubbly early 20s something anymore either.

Just watched the clip..the clothes aren't actually that bad. But, I don't think they're something she actually picked out. She looks a little uncomfortable and not as perky.

It's a fine line when you're in your thirties...you don't want to look frumpy, but there is nothing sadder than a woman who looks her age trying to dress like a 15 year old.

2nd this..I am 35 and a mom, but I don't dress dowdy..But it is hard, and takes alot of trying on clothes and putting back and trying again...Clothing stores either have young and trendy, or matronly and boxy looking. It is VERY hard to dress chic, modern yet age appropriate.Stacey looks fine to me, a little conservative, but this is disney we are talking about.
