Is it at all possible to squeeze a full size air mattress into the AB rooms? Maybe if we move the table and chairs???

We are a family of five, I am hopeing I could put two kids on the air mattress. Full size beds are just two small for two adults. I could deal with one adult and one small child in the full size beds, but two adults, not happening. Trying to save money by not booking two rooms at a value. We don't really like the family suites at the AS or the cabins.

Any suggestions?

Is one of the children small enough for the trundle bed? If you had an AB room with the trundle, you could do 1 adult/1child in each double bed, then 1 child on their own in the trundle.

I don't see why not... we fit 2 air twin airbeds in an AS movies room.
I went with my 3 kids (one under 3, not breaking any rules!) and my mom. Basically, neither of us wanted to sleep with my son, who was still at the "accident" stage. Once I told DS we were taking an airbed for him, of course my DD wanted an airbed too. So we packed them both, and it worked out.
We moved the table and chairs in front of the window, and put one bed down where they were. Then we scooted one of the beds all the way to the wall and put the second bed down between the two beds.
Then during the day, we leaned the beds against the wall.

Were a fam of 5 (see signature) and stayed in AB in July 10.

No way you're getting a full sized air mattress anywhere in those rooms.

BUT, I'd give AB high marks for at least being comfortable for a fam of 5. We slept 2 adults in one bed, 2 kids in the other, and 1 kid on the trundle. You could certainly put an adult and child in each bed with a child on the trundle.

Our 3 kids rotated so someone wasn't stuck on the trundle all week.

You should be able to have one kid on the trundle and still have enough room for one kid on a twin mattress, but a full? No way, not unless you planned on not using the trundle and put it there, but you would still hit it with the door. :)

Here is the link to two pictures; the first looks towards the beds to the sink area and the second looks at the table and chairs.

There is no where to move the table and chairs.

I agree with the PP about rotating. As a matter of fact, that is ingenious.

Thanks guys, I guess, there is no way I'm getting a full size mattress in that room, lol! We usually do one child with each adult in value. We are taking dd's friend this time around. They want to sleep together. That trundle bed looks horrible, and waaay down there on the floor. Is it bad, the trundle bed? We will be there for 10 nights. That is a long time to not be comfortable. Maybe I should pay extra for two rooms at Pop. I have to admit, you disers have some great ideas. So what can you say about the trundle, is it as bad as it seems?

Have you thought about switching to Coronado Springs? They have two queens in the room and you could easily fit a twin air mattress in the room.

You can pay for a cot. The rooms in Magnolia bend do not have trundles. We always ask to stay there and a high floor. ( the lizards freak my daughters out... so there is no way they would sleep on the floor. :lmao:)

Do they allow 5 in a room at Coronado Springs? If so, that would be great for us.

No they don't. We are a family of 5 and stay at POR frequently. We rotate the kids on an air mattress on the floor instead of the trundle. Two sleep in one bed, one on the floor. Never been a problem.

Have you thought of the Dolphin? Their room is bigger and we are a bit more comfortable there. Granted, we have 3 teens. This summer we are going back to POR due to getting free dining. No way I was going to pass that up to stay at the Dolphin!

We were able to get a twin air mattress and the mattress from the trundle bed next to each other in the spot where the table and chairs were. We did have to move the furniture a bit and the mattress was right up to the bed but it was doable.

If you put a twin air mattress in between the beds before you blow it up it fits right in between snuggly and two of my three kids insisted on sleeping on a twin mattress together and because it is in between the beds they actually fit there and they cant fall off to the floor. It sounds silly but we were on vacation and who was I to say they would be uncomfortable as long as they where happy. Sorry that was at AKL when we stayed at POR the air mattress was put in place of the trundle bed until it got a leak and we had no choice but to put a kid on the trundle bed which my DD then 8 said it was fine.(she was to tired to argue)
Have you priced a deluxe resort verses two rooms at a value because you can sleep five at some deluxe like the Poly.

I should price a deluxe instead of two rooms at a value. Thanks

That's a great idea though not all Deluxe rooms can handle five. To answer your earlier question, no, the trundle is not bad at all. I like to sleep on it and I'm a grown woman. It pushes right up to the a/c and it's cozy white noise all night long.

:)

I laid on it to test it - for reference though, I'm pretty small (5'8, 150) and not picky.

I would have been able to sleep on it - they wouldn't have been the best nights of sleep I ever had, but it wouldn't have been awful either.

I don't believe someone much larger than myself could pull it off though.
