Where do you leave your laptop when out of room? Will be at AK next week. Do they let you leave it at front desk?

We put ours into our empty suitcase on the top of the closet rack. Dh's work laptop actually fits in the safe, but mine doesn't.

I read on threads about room being broken into at one of resorts. Not sure I would leave in room. Thanks.

1) Medium-to-large laptops do not fit in wall safes.
2) Medium can fit into floor safes.
3) The Front Desk will not assume responsibility for any valuables.
4) But, you can put it into the safe deposit box at the Front Desk.
5) You can take it in/out as often as you like during the stay.

We leave our two lap tops on the table in plain site. Never had a problem.
If some body is going to steal it they will find it any way. Just buy a good travel insurance.

That's what we did. Everytime we have took the laptop we've just left it on the table. It has never been bothered. We take DS's laptop so there is no real info in it that anyone would be able to access if they were in our room. No banking info or really any personal info at all.

We leave the laptop on the table as well, never had a problem. It wouldn't be much fun to have it stolen, but it seems like a huge hassle to constantly have it locked up - might as well leave it at home, in that case.

I try to get a good backup, then leave it out on the table (sometimes elsewhere if close to door or window)

I know from personal experience that some people have to take a computer because of work/school/family matters. If there is a need for the computer and you are uncomfortable with getting one of the lap top cable locks from a local computer store, and it isn't of sufficiently reduced size to fit into the in-room safe, and you think someone is going to rifle through drawers or luggage looking for your hardware, I think the front desk safe is probably the best solution for you. For me, if someone wants this piece of junk, they can have it. Gives me a good excuse to go and get an upgrade from this six year old model.

My personal laptop fits in the Disney wall safe (sideways straight up and down).

My work laptop is too "tall" for the Disney wall safe. I have both left it in its (unlocked) case or on the table/desk of both Disney and other hotels when travelling.

I usually just leave it in the room in its case.

This is pretty much what I do - it's put away but not secure.
