1 Child and 10 Adults--A GG to Celebrate DD's 4th Bday :) TR Link is Posted

This time next month will be a very special day for us—Lilian’s fourth birthday!! Happy Birthday Dear Sweet Lilian!! We are, of course, spending it in Magic Kingdom. There are some exciting things on our agenda today. We have a BBB appointment, lunch and dinner ADRs, birthday cake and MNSSHP all rolled up into one magical day.

Breakdown of Day 3 at Disney

Park
Magic Kingdom

Food
ADRs: 2
• Breakfast: Main Street Bakery
• Lunch: Plaza Restaurant
• Dinner: 1900 Park Fare

Goals for today

1. BBB photo shoot
2. Meeting the Fairies
3. The Mountains—BTMRR, Splash and SM
4. Taking time to enjoy the details that MK so special!!

We will be leaving MK after our lunch ADR at 12:30 or so. We have an early lunch ADR since we will up and early today. After finishing lunch, we will be heading back to the resort for swim time and naptime. We will be having a late night tonight!

Evening Plans

We have a very special dinner planned tonight for Lilian’s birthday—1900 Park Fare. This will be a rare first for all parties involved. Another first for us all is having a Disney custom cake. I finalized our plans for it and will post soon about it. :goodvibes We will be heading off to MNSSHP tonight after our dinner. We are really looking forward to being able to experience MNSSHP. I also have a DIS meet set for tonight at MNSSHP. Sophia (OhioDisneyLover) and her DH Joe will be meeting us at HoP to watch the first parade together. So excited to meet her (and Joe). :disrocks:

Goals for MNSSHP

1. Meet Snow White and the Dwarfs
2. HM and POC
3. Perhaps the Princesses and Princes Meet n Greet
4. Parade
5. HalloWishes

We should be at MNSSHP around 6:00, just before it officially starts. If we make this time, we will have six hours to work on our goals. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, TGM information will not be updated until after this first MNSSHP so it will not help out. I plan on reading the information he posted about last year's a little more closely still. I'm am really sad if the rumor of Cinderella's Carriage not being out for photo opts out is true. I was sure hoping to get pictures with it. :sad2:

Do our plans look doable for today? For those of you who have attended MNSSHP, especially the first one or an early September one, what do you think the crowds will be like?

Aw, I love Dumbo! I never get to go on it though because the line is usually slow moving and there are a million other things I want to do! I did ask Kris if he would go on Dumbo with me though so maybe this trip! :)

I hope you get to go on Dumbo Jenny!! Especially given it is Kris' first visit. :goodvibes

I really love that you are allowing a lot of down time! I think it will make your vacation that much more enjoyable. I have planned a lot of downtime as well. I also am not making TPs for the parks each day b/c whatever we feel like doing that day in the park we will do! Last trip I drove myself sick trying to accomplish everything on my list. Of course, I have a list of things I'd like to do but that doesn't mean we'll get it all done. I want to be able to enjoy our resort, too! :)

Thank you!! I really thought about what we wanted out this vacation and I realized we do not have to do everything! :lmao: We want time to spend together, swim, see Disney and have FUN!! We will be back so I am not going to stress if we do not get to see everything. In fact, we cannot since IASW is going to be closed among other things.

I'm going to have a rough order in mind, just to try to help limit the amount of walking we will have to do given the health of some traveling with us. With the heat and humidity too, I think it will be too difficult to try to rush too much. Tempers will flair and we would not be having fun.

I'm so excited about CSR!!!

No problem! I'm all about figuring out which order to do things in and what will save the most time. I'm sure your DD will love Epcot. Are you going to buy her the Epcot passport? That is a lot of fun!

I too am crazy excited for Via Napoli!!!!! It's going to be an OOP meal for us, but I just plan on us splitting a pizza and each of us getting a drink. It won't be too bad and we have loads of gift cards to use.

We are going to get the Epcot Passports. I agree they are a lot of fun. DH and I did one on our first trip. :thumbsup2

I'm really looking forward to Via Napoli!!

I am really looking forward to Dumbo as well. When we went in March and rode it, my DD (18 months at the time) would go "Wheeeeeee!!!!" the whole time. :goodvibes I can't wait to go on it again and see if she likes it just as much.

I am looking forward to it too (obviously, I know :rotfl:). I am actually happy we did not ride it last time so we can experience it as a family for the first time. I am really looking forward to experiencing Disney through the eyes of my child. :goodvibes

I'm so excited for Lilian to experience Disney and for you and Allyn to experience it through her.

Loving all of the goals/wishes for each day!! You are leaving lots of downtime which will be nice in the heat of September! I will say that WS is better at night though, I hope you get to experience it while dark!

Beware of the Kidcot stations, they use Sharpies!!:scared1:

Yum, the pics of the Mickey bars and Mickey ice cream sandwich have me drooling!! I hope to see a picture of Lilian with an Itzakadoozie too! As seen here:

Oh, definitely take the boat to DHS from the BC, it's a nice ride! Don't forget to smell the BC!! I love the smell of the BC!:lovestruc You'll definitely want to stay there next time the minute you walk through the doors!

P.S. Cape May Cafe is at the far right corner of the lobby if you enter through the main entrance!:thumbsup2

Yummy! I have not heard about that one yet but I will mark it down.

Thanks Wendy!!

what time is the ADR...are you walking through the park w/ other guests or is this pre-park opening? I forget...

if you took most of the front of the park shots the other morning and are not stopping anywhere once in...20 min sounds good...but if the park is already full...it could take a bit longer...

I totally mis judged that when we had our pre-park ADR there last March...we were running late and then we were so side tracked w/ pictures in an empty EP...but even though we were like 10-15 late...it all was fine...

thanks for this picture...I have read about these bars and on the food menus that are diary free...but didn't know what they were or looked liked...

my DD is on a diary, egg, wheat and gluten free diet...which makes things tough...I was saddened the other day when out shopping she was asking for all these treats, etc that she can't eat and thought aw man Disney is going to be heard this time...w/ her seeing her siblings eating those yummy "Mickey" treats...but this will be great! :thumbsup2

messy...but so special for her...DH says we should make it a point only she get's to eat those...

sorry for the hijak Stephanie...

just another reason I love the Dis...thanks wlwilliams9 you have brightened my day :goodvibes

Our ADR at Akershus is at 9:15. I think if we enter the park around 8:45 we should be good, correct? I guess part of that will depend on what time they let us will help decide.

No problem--I'm glad Wendy had the picture to help you know what DD will be able to enjoy. It must be difficult not being able to experience the same things as her siblings. I love the idea of keeping it her special treat!! :goodvibes

I"m loving all your plans so far :goodvibes
All the flexibility, with the back-up of concrete goals, seems like a great plan.

Thinking about Via Napoli... and wondering about an OOP meal there myself!
:scratchin

Thanks Sarah!! I am happy with how our days seem to be shaping up. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the end...;)

Via Napoli looks yummy to us!!

That is going to be on great birthday for Lilian:goodvibes It is a bit of a bummer that since you are going to one of the early parties you won't know exactly what to expect. Of course then you can come back and report to people like me so we get the benefit of your experience:goodvibes Sounds like a great day. Oh and I love the Plaza! It's my favorite place to eat in the Magic Kingdom. I'm planning on being there for my birthday in January!

you could enter even earlier if you wish I bet...they have a special line for pre-park ADR's...now even though FW is open WS is not...I think it would nice to beat some of the RD crowds in FW. Not posisitive...but maybe ask around when you arrive if you can get in the gates right before 8:45...

sometimes they let people in the gates at 15 min to the hour (just not on rides yet)

good luck!

Also we really enjoyed 1900 PF w/ Cindy, etc...it was a nice buffet and the characters were great. You will LOVE the stepsisiters...they loved calling Rachel who was dressed as Cinderella (then age 5 1/2) Cindersmella and wanted to know why she wasn't in the kitchen....;)

Your plans look great steph.

I think the whole day at MK will be a lighter crowd day. Most people will avoid the park since it closes early. MNSSHP seemed like a low crowd day to us when we were there. We hoped right on rides and the parade spots and firework spots were not over crowded at all. I sure hope the rumor is not true about cinderella's carriage. That was so beautiful. I wished I had a little girl dressed in a cindy gown at that moment. Since In reality I had two boys dressed as pirates we opted not to stand in line:lmao: and there was quite a line the entire night.

I cant wait to see the custom cake. How exciting.

I cannot believe it, but today is 25 days until we leave for Disney!! You know what that means…

25. POPCORN!!!!!!!!!! popcorn::

Crazy thing to put on a countdown of things I am looking for I know, but can you believe this will be another first for me. After over a year of reading PTR and TR here on DIS, I am amazed about many DISers rave about popcorn. It has been a family treat to watch a movie with a big bowl of popcorn at home so I am sure Lilian is going to want some too. :goodvibes Since I have never have never had Disney popcorn before, I want to remedy this "problem" and get one of the souvenir popcorn bucket. :thumbsup2 Here is a lovely picture (from a DISer) of what I am looking forward to:

mickeypopcorn_DIS_internetsearch.jpg

Also pertaining to popcorn, I have a special something on my possible shopping list while at Disney:

popcornset.jpg

I want to see if I can find a popcorn bowl set while I am at Disney. I think it will be a fun way for our family movie nights to have a bit of Disney magic (whether we watch a Disney movie or not). :goodvibes Anyone have a Disney popcorn set?

Since I have also been trying to include a video for your viewing pleasure (which can be difficult for the record) I found one that I think is fun (Lilian was laughing at the end of it). Enjoy!

The Muppets Popcorn Video

Day 3 for Lillian's birthday sounds terrific. I too hope she gets to dance with Prince Charming for her special day.

This Time Next Month, will be September 15th. Thus far leading up to today, we have been to Epcot and MK twice and DHS once (if it works out into the evening). Up today is our day for guy and gal fun.

Breakdown of Day 4 at Disney

Park
DTD

Food
ADRs: 0
• Breakfast: at the resort
• Lunch:
o Guys, at the golf clubhouse most likely
o Gals, not sure if we will eat lunch or wait for our tea reservation
• Dinner: at DTD, leaning towards EOS

Goals for Today

1. Relax and Enjoy our day!
2. Shopping at DTD
3. I want to spend some alone time with Lilian!!

Long ago at the beginning of this PTR, I mentioned that as a thank you gift, DH and I were treating the guys and gals to some fun time. Today is the day! The guys will be heading out golfing this morning at the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. They will most likely eat lunch afterwards at the clubhouse. I am treating the gals to tea at Grand Floridian this afternoon. More on the tea will appear later on the countdown—so stay tuned for it!

Evening Plans

After these fun treats, we will be heading off to DTD. It has yet to be decided if the guys will meet the gals at a certain time at DTD or if we will meet at the resort than proceed together. While at DTD (which is something my Dad is looking forward to experiencing), we will eat dinner. I am really leaning towards wanting to eat EOS as the menu and everything I have read about it seems really yummy. The other option being toyed with is WPE. Not sure if will quite fit the group at-large though. Have you eaten at one or both? Do you like one better?

Of course while we are at DTD we will be looking through the shops. I know I want to pick up a Christmas ornament, browse Trendz, Once Upon a Toy and World of Disney. :goodvibes What other stores are favorites of yours? Perhaps we will round down the evening with a trip to Goofy’s Candy Company and/or Ghirardelli’s. Overall, I think this will be a great day. What do you all think?

Plans sound great! I'm sure everyone will enjoy their downtime. We love spending time at DTD, but we've never eaten at EOS or WPE. However, Ghiradelli's is a MUST! Madison hasn't really gotten to experience their ice cream (well, she had it when she was 3 and 1/2, but she doesn't remember it) and we need to make the time to go there.

I have to be dragged out of WOD...there is just too much to look at and I don't want to miss anything. Tren-D is AMAZING and I like to buy an ornament every year too. You should check out the Design-A-Tee store. We let Madison make her own t-shirt last January and it's really cute.

Thanks Jenny! I think it will be a pretty special way to spend a birthday. I'm glad to hear you like Plaza. :goodvibes

Do you have any specific things you want me to look for/think about while at MNSSHP?

Your experience at PF sounds spectacular!! I hope we have the same.

EP-I will shoot for us being there at 8:30 in hopes of getting in early. I would love to enjoy a quiet and relatively empty EP. :goodvibes

Thank you Lindsay! TGM seems to think it will be a great day in MK. TP thinks not but I think they say to avoid any park with a special event happening. I hope it keeps crowds light!! :goodvibes

I hope our MNSSHP is like yours with lower crowds. I really want to see Cinderella's Carriage as well so I hope it is wrong too.

I hope the cake turns out amazing. :upsidedow
