Does anyone know if they still sell the Coconuts at the gift shop? A friend of mine wants me to bring one home for her. Can I get that on the plane? Can I put in my carry-on or will I get stopped at security.

The coconut postcards were there the last week of May/first week of June. They are probably 6 inches or so in diameter.

Saw them there last January 1. Interesting question- how much liquid is in a coconut? I'd put it in my checked bag. Not like it's something that will easily break. IIRC mailing the things from CBR was expensive but that isn't a problem for you.:)

The coconuts sold at the CBR have been drained of liquid.

The coconuts seem to be hit or miss. There are times when I go over they have them, other times they don't.

I just called to make a reservation for 2/26-3/5 and they are all booked. :scared1: Only have king beds available. I'm very surprised they are booked up already. :confused3 Maybe DH asked for preferred?? I'm going to call them myself.

I may book CSR in the meantime and keep calling back to see if CBR opens up.

We just  CBR!

I have heard so far it is hit or miss to book for next year. Some people can while others can't...and thats all resorts. But if it is truely booked ,that means something is going on, and CBR is the host resort, which means it will be busy, even if they have rooms open up later. And I am wondering, Is that the Princess half marathon weekend? Perhaps they designated resort is CBR for that? Or possibly a cheerleader compettiton. I think I remember reading about one taking place around that time this past year.

We just got back from 8 days at CBR. We were in Trinidad South in building 34. Seriously I don't know what people are complaining about when they say it's so far from everything and the place is too big. It took me all of about 5 minutes to walk from my room to the main pool. I am VERY VERY Pooh sized and out of shape, and I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I made it in about 5 minute. I also stopped to snap a few photos along the way.

I'm so glad we didn't change our minds about the pirate rooms after reading about how far away from everything Trinidad South was. I was having second thoughts.

I've never thought that waterview were worth it. We've stayed at both POR and POFQ and never opted for waterview. For some reason, it seems to me at CBR they might be worth the extra money.

Welcome back! :goodvibes Glad you had such a nice time. I too have always wondered why such a big deal is made of the walk from TS to OPR, we only walked it once, but it was no big deal!

Does anyone know which bus stop is picked up first to go to the parks? I'm claustrophobic on crowded buses and have found that it really helps to be sitting. I hate to stand if I can help it. On our last trip at ASMu, people had to stand on almost every bus trip. I"m not sure how it is at CBR. Thank you!

Which building in CBR is closer to the food courts I forgot?

Martinique 24, 25, and 26 are probably the closest buildings to the food court -- they are all preferred buildings costing more per night. Safetymom has a link to a map of the resort on the first page of this thread -- you might want to check it out.

Hello,

Are there towels by all of the pools or do we have to bring them from our hotel room?

Thank you.

There are towels at the main pool. If you go to the quiet pools you will need to bring towels from your room or grab a few extra from the main pool. You can call mousekeeping and request extra towels.

Planning on February 2011 vacation. I see that the 2011 Package Prices just came out....
Should I Book a Package now??
QUESTION: Is there any type of special discount or deal I should ask for??
The package quote on the Disney web-site seems to be full price for resort, magic your way tickets and dining plan.....

Any Advice....PLEASE !!

Also, 1st time trying CBR....sounds beautiful.....What are the Preferred Buildings ???

Any comments, suggestions will be magically and much appreciated !!

THANX

How far of a walk over the bridge to get to food court etc??
OR are preferred buildings better and worth the extra cost??

Some buses start in Martinique, and others start in Jamaica. We have only ever had to stand on a CBR bus about once a trip. But we usually travel in the off-season.

Aruba 51 (as well as Jamaica 45) is a less than 5 minute walk to OPR. I don't feel paying extra for a preferred location is worth it, but others probably do. If you feel 5-8 minutes if too long of a walk to the food court & pool, then you might want to go preferred. We enjoy the little walks, the resort is so beautiful! :goodvibes

How much success has everyone had at CBR with regards to room requests? What is the preferred method? I have heard they no longer accept faxes, is this true?

The best way is to add the request to your reservation. You would call Disney reservations and have the request added to your reservation.
