Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

You slid that update in yesterday and I missed it! Well just read now, and gee, it looks like someone reserved the whole resort! I didn't see a soul in those photos! It was like you were by yourself! I often notice that at Disney resorts .. you can feel really alone, or really "squished!" :crowded: Nice pictures that Chelsea took! Oh that was too funny about the waiters... Well that is one way to get a teenage girl to cooperate!!! The grounds at CBR are so pretty!

Jackie, You have one fast-moving TR. I can't miss a day or I'm pages behind. :surfweb: Just out of curiosity, did you get any photos of your room interior at CBR? I'd love to see one if you did.

I love all the pictures of CBR. It just looks so relaxing! Beautiful!

Thanks! It was very beautiful and relaxing!

Jackie, guess what I just found out....

‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ Extended at Walt Disney World « Disney Parks Blog

Hurray!!!! That is so awesome!!! I hope it stays for a very long time!

Great pics of the CBR (we've visited and walked around a couple of times). I love "sibling" affection. My boys (now 24 and 22) were very affectionate from the time the youngest was born until they were about 5 and 3. Then it ended. To this day, they do not get along and barely speak. They love each other and would DO anything for each other, they are just so TOTALLY opposite in personality, style, etc. Can't wait to read about the "cute waiters."

Thanks! Chelsea and Connor used to get along wonderfully until Chelsea started middle school, and now they aren't quite as close as they used to be. They still get along pretty well, but there are definitely some dicey moments from time to time.

After giving you a heart attack about going to Teppan Edo the King of Teppan Edo decides to go with the original plan!  Guess next time he better take that nap! :lmao: :lmao:

LOL! Well, I kept the Tutto reservation just in case we didn't make it down there in time -- I never thought we wouldn't go because Charles decided to nap instead.

Your pictures make me realize how pretty CBR is. I stayed there during my second on-site stay and I loved the spread out, tropical feel. What a pretty resort. I may be due for a quick trip back there.

All of us really like it there. However, I am ready to try another new resort for the next trip.

So funny that the kids knew the right way to the room. I remember getting all twisted around in different directions when I stayed there until I FINALLY found room.

I felt like I was lost in a maze!

So what's this about your sense of direction? Can I accuse you of having a Denny and Charles moment?

Maybe...;)

Loved you pic of the kids together on the bridge.

Thanks! I love how happy they look!

Good job, CP!
The folks at Caribbean Beach apparently knew they were hosting some DIS celebrities. :cool2:

LOL! That would explain the corner room and great location!

Are there really cute waiters?
Aaah, yes, our little Chelsea is definitely a teenager! ;)

Without a doubt!

Sounds like an awesome location! Did you book standard or preferred? Beautiful picture of Chelsea and Connor!

We just booked standard -- I couldn't justify the preferred location because it would have ended up being the same price as a room at the AKL. I knew we would have our car if we ended up being stuck in the boonies.

My sense of direction is terrible! I can completely relate. How wonderful that your room was ready. After the drive (because Charles worked so hard at it) I'm sure you wanted a longer rest before heading straight to dinner. Still, semi surprising he gave up Teppan!

I was very glad that our room was ready. I was surprised to since he had been so stubborn about wanting to go.

Cute waiters never even occurred to me when I booked Tutto for us....now I'm really excited!

Be very excited! LOL!

Great resort pictures!

The kids are too cute! The picture of them on the bridge is precious! :)

ooh, cute Italian waiters?! Sign me up!! :)

Thank you! I love that picture on the bridge -- it may be my favorite picture of the two of them from the trip.

Italian waiters are always a plus! ;)

Late to the party but I'm here!

9 stops from GA! :scared1: We didn't even have that many when we drove from MA!

I hope Chelsea took pictures of the cute waiters at Tutto! I've never been there :rolleyes1

Hi, Jennifer!!! Sadly, there are no pictures of the cute waiters -- you will just have to take our word for it.

We used to eat at Alfredo's (before it was Tutto) all the time when I was growing up. The waiters always flirted with my older sister and she would turn bright red!

I may have turned red a few times myself. LOL!

Too funny that it was the cute waiters that made her forget about Teppan Edo.

I guess cuteness trumps ginger chocolate cake any day of the week.

The CBR looks like a beautiful resort, this is one I definitely want to stay at some time.

Another great update, looking forward to the next one:goodvibes

Thanks! It is lovely there! So quiet and peaceful!

Great Updates. I love the CBR and your pics of it are beautiful.

Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay there!

What a beautiful resort! This is the one I want to try next! :thumbsup2

I hope we get to see some pics from your room!

What??? After the near heart attack he gave you about wanting to eat there??? :faint:

It was a beautiful resort! All of us have now stayed at all four moderates.

I was looking through our pictures, and believe it or not, I did not get any pictures of the room. Somehow in all the excitement I just plain forgot.

Can you believe it? I was very glad I kept our Tutto reservation since that's where I really wanted to eat anyway.

Loving your report Jackie. I'm with you on finding the room first without the luggage.

If I could just make Charles understand that.

Come on, is ANYONE interested in finding out who this family was? ;)
We got in our room about 1 hour before Jackie, room 5103. We were walking out of our room to go to the main pool for a swim, when this familiar looking man walked by, then when I saw the rest of his family, I knew instantly that it was Jackie. It happened so fast, and totally unexpected. This was the first time I saw a DISer on our many trips to DW. :goodvibes

It was so neat to run into you!!! I have to confess I felt like quite the celebrity. LOL!

I have no sense of directions at all.

The resort photo are beautiful. It looks so relaxing.

My kids like each other better at Disney too.

Did Charles get a small nap in before dinner since he didn't nap on the drive down?

Looking forward to dinner.

I usually have a great sense of direction, but it deserted me when it was time to find the room.

I wish my children got along in the real world as well as they do at Disney.

I don't remember if Charles actually napped or not. He may have just relaxed in the air conditioning.

Great pics of CBR! I love that Charles was persuading Chelsea with hopes of looking at hot waiters!! Crack me up.:rotfl2: What you will do sometimes for rest.

Exactly! Charles was willing to pull out the big guns to get a few more minutes of rest! LOL!

I think it is funny that your kids liked to chase the birds. Cooper, my oldest, does not bother a bird at all until he gets to WDW and then it is his favorite activity to try to catch one. He harassed one at the GF so much I had to make him stop and come sit down and eat at Gasparillas.:lmao:

Too funny! Yes, my kids are always chasing the birds at Disney! Poor things!

Great pictures of CBR! It was the first ever Disney resort I stayed at. it's been almost 10 years since that trip, how time flies...

It is amazing how quickly time flies!

Chelsea is too funny asking about the waiters at Tutto  I hope she used her camera there! ;)

Sadly, no pictures. I don't know what we were thinking!

Yay, an update!!

CBR is BEAUTIFUL! I don't know if I have ever looked at many pictures of it, wow!! Wonderful pictures around the resort, thanks for the walk! The picture of the kids on the bridge is adorable.

We really had a gorgeous spot for our room!

Chelsea truly is a teenager isn't she? :rotfl: And Charles must have REALLY wanted some relaxing time to point out the cute waiters fact!

Especially if you knew what Charles is normally like where Chelsea and boys are concerned. :rotfl:

Me, me! I was interested! How very cool that you randomly ran into each other!

It was very neat!

LOL!!! So glad Chelsea was okay with Tutto Italia after it was confirmed there were cute waiters there!! Of course I want to find out for myself if the waiters are cute there too LOL!!

Yes, you should definitely try out Tutto! I want to try the new Italian place when it opens to see how the wait staff compares. :lmao:

What a great room! I remember when you texted me about the room I was so happy for you!!! Nothing beats a great room and a great view!!!!! That resort just looks gorgeous!!!

You are so right! It was perfect!

Our stay at CB was so much fun in the mornings. We would get breafast & eat outside. The birds would gather with some alighting on the chair backs, so we would slip them tidbits. They were so tame & added to our enjoyment.

I love the small cay, it was nice to walk in & explore. :lovestruc

The birds were really pretty there! We enjoyed seeing them every time we wandered over to Old Port Royal.

I've been reading this report since it was started, but just made an account yesterday. Just wanted to say how great it is! Can't wait to read more!

Welcome to the DIS! I am glad you are enjoying my TR!

CBR is our favorite mod resort. We love it there! Thanks for sharing your pictures. Great update! :thumbsup2

I love their gift shop too. :goodvibes

They have a great gift shop, and I really liked the variety of choices in the food court.

i love it!

your pictures of CBR are really beautiful! makes me want to stay there someday.

You know I couldn't help but think of the Doorknob when I started this update. LOL!

CBR is a great place to stay -- especially if you have a car because it is super quick to get to Epcot and DHS -- they are literally right around the corner from the resort.

I love that Alice quote. :goodvibes

Alice in Wonderland always seems to have quotes I can identify with! LOL!

I'm sure the kids were just tickled that they were right and you were wrong. Pretty cool that you had a little DIS meet though!

Oh, they were very pleased with themselves.

Glad to hear that your room was great besides being a bit far from the bus stops! Love the pics of the grounds. CBR is such a beautiful resort! I would have been dying to try out that pool myself. :thumbsup2

I was anxious to try it out, too! It was a wonderful pool!

I hope you framed that picture of the kids hugging.

I just may have to do that! I haven't ordered any prints yet.

I just love this picture of Connor. He is such a character!

He loves staging photos. LOL!

Chelsea and the cute waiters. :rotfl:

Looking forward to hearing about your dinner!

Can't wait to tell you about it! It was one of the many highlights of the trip!

Thanks for the tour of CBR, your pictures were wonderful.

Thank you! It was so pretty there!

CBR always looks so pretty! We have friends headed there in less than two months, ( I am the trip planner) so I just love these pics!

They will love it there!

Tutto yummo! Can you tell I have class through dinner hour and could clearly use some good food before say 8 tonight!

I remember that feeling while I was doing my Masters.

Love the sibling kindness pics. Luke goes around hitting his sisters.... so we have no love right now!

Poor Hannah and Emily! :goodvibes

I'm late to the game but thanks to your super handy links, I am all caught up. Welcome back Jackie! Isn't it funny how we always have great intentions of leaving early but last minute things always sneak up? I'm glad you got to enjoy a little leisure time, strolling around CBR. It looks so pretty!!! :)

Hi, Kelli! Thanks for coming over! I was up at 4:30, but it still took two hours to get everything done and us out the door. I can't seem to win!

Wow! Congrats on capturing the ever elusive sibling affection! WDW just brings out the best in all of us! :goodvibes

For most of us, anyway. There may have been a few cranky moments on the trip for some of the travelers. ;)

Connor's face while he's contemplating the locked door is too cute. Would love to know what he was thinking about at the time b/c am sure he had a whole back story put together as to what was going on behind there!

Knowing Connor that is a distinct possibility!

Cute waiters aren't just for teenagers... :rolleyes1

No photos of the cute waiters?? :scared1: Two of you w/ cameras and nothing??? :lmao:

I know -- it's downright tragic. LOL!

Sorry you had to forego Teppan Edo (or did you fit it in later in the week?) but it's always fun to have something to look forward to on the next trip. Charles likes it so much maybe he'll make a trip just to eat there? ;)

The resort looks gorgeous!!! :cloud9:

Oh, I was fine with skipping Teppan -- I wanted Tutto all along.

Thanks for the super update! :earsboy:

Thanks for reading it! :goodvibes

So funny about the waiters! Ah, to be a teenage girl again!

Well, this 35-year-old quite enjoyed them, too!

Great pictures and view from your room! It is always nice to see sibling affection and is amazing how Disney can bring that out.

Yes, it is amazing! I wish it happened more often!

Charles is too funny telling Chelsea about the cute Italian waiters. I remember going there as a teenager and eating in Italy for that very reason!

I eat there now for that very reason -- oh, and I really like the food, too! LOL!

Looking forward to seeing if Chelsea was able to see any cute waiters!

:rolleyes1

Charles will learn the hard way one of these days about taking all the bags to the room before you inspect the room. Makes switching rooms if there is a problem all the more a hassle. I speak from experience....

He is so stubborn.

Did you smell the coconut scent at the gift shop?? I loved that when I was there.

I did smell it! It was lovely!

Great view!
I love how cute waiters make Tutto more appealing
I need to make an ADR tonight :rolleyes1

Yes, yes, you do! :thumbsup2

So glad everyone was happy with the Resort!:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about your 1st meal. And those cute waiters!

Very happy!

Our first meal was fabulous!

I am so spoiled this year. It started last Oct. I got my trip since my annual World Waterpark conference was at the Coronado. At that time, I had friends all ready to do a trip in the next year. I upgraded to the annual pass. The trip with friends was New Years.
On to Sept. My DS 16 has off labor day and 2 days at the end of that week. Since I took when my DD when she turned 16 and did the Backstage safari tour, I felt I owed my DS. :)
The Oct Trip ( trips really )are bookends on the conference again. The problem is the conference is in San Antonio this year. The year of the annual pass. :rotfl2:
Oh Yeah, the July trip was a bonus trip. The fireworks, ToT and of course that parade ( that I hear just got extended) was luring me down. So I gave in.

So, are you doing the Backstage Safari with your DS? That would be so neat!

Will look for MSEP. ::yes:::sail:

:thumbsup2

I saw Aruba and started thinking the trip I went with my DD we stayed at CBR in Aruba. I happen to have the resort map handy ( don't ask :rolleyes1) and we were in 5130. Great location. right by the bridge and pool. Right in between the 2 bus stops but if you could do a straight line through the parking lot I don't remember it being too bad.

Love the Alice in Wonderland quote.

Both bus stops seemed forever away -- we ended up driving almost everywhere anyway -- being close to the bridge was perfect!

I am I am. Can I start singing that song... about the not so large orb we live on? I am trying not to have everyone singing it for days. :rotfl2:
So great that you "bumped" into each other.

:lmao:

Such pretty pictures of the resort and grounds! :goodvibes
Love the picture of Connor at the door.....perhaps he was thinking of a new storyline for a future movie! ;)
Hope you have some pictures of the cute waiters! :woohoo:
How fun that you had an impromptu Dismeet! :cool1:

Tracy

Thank you! Sadly, no pics of the waiters. :sad2:

How did I miss your travel report? Okay nine stops? :lmao: We would have never arrived!

Love the pic of you at check-in!! The resort looks great!

I felt like we were never going to arrive. :rotfl:

Chelsea was documenting EVERYTHING! LOL!

Seems like no matter which way I walk around one of those buildings, I always choose the wrong-translate-long-way.

It has happened to me a lot!

Glad you're there and your room location seems to have been met with approval!

Two thumbs up on the room location!!!

Love the resort pictures, Disney does such a fantastic job of taking you away to exotic locations!

One of the many reasons I love Disney!

As usual Connor is a hoot with his poses, and Chelsea, well, yes, she is a teen!

Speaking of acting like a teenager, wait until you see a picture from Animal Kingdom later in the week. LOL!

Our waiter at Tutto must have been 70....
and I nabbed that MSEP cd way back the end of MAY!!!

So sad about the waiter. :sad2:

I haven't even seen any CDs on eBay. They must have sold out quickly to all the fans!

All I can say is WOW...that resort is even more beautiful than I could imagine!

Don't ya love when they point our they were right and we were wrong.....:rolleyes1

You would love staying there!

I told my two to enjoy it while they could. LOL!

Beautiful resort! Too bad it was far from the bus stops, but close to everything else!

Since we drove to most of the parks, it wasn't much of an issue.

I love that she trusted your opinion on the waiters. If we wanted to convince Tessa to go to Tutto, all we would have had to do was say that we wanted Teppan. :rolleyes1

:lmao: That Tessa is too much! :goodvibes

John and I were in Aruba on our second anniversary trip. We were right across front he bus stop though and quite a ways away from the path across the island.

I bet it was a hike to the bridge!

YAY! You started and I'm already behind! Love Charles' incognito Disney ice cream picture :thumbsup2

Hi, Jess! Yes, Charles is always hiding from the camera.

Looks like Chelsea had a great birthday!! Can't believe she's a teenager already!

You and me both!

I just love your car rides..there's definitely always an adventure for you during them! I'm so excited you stayed at CBR, we always stayed there when I was a little kid, so I haven't been back there since 2002. It's funny though, I love the rooms, but I always always ALWAYS get turned around at the way the rooms are set up, it's like a maze sometimes trying to locate your room! :rotfl2:

Never an uneventful ride for us!

Yes, just like a maze trying to find our room!

hey jackie!! better late than never! I'm here! alrighty, i'm going back to catch up!

great updates so far! Loving the pics of the birthday celebration! So cute!! and of course I'm loving the pics of your arrival at WDW...especially CBR!! Makes me want to be there again! You got a great room location!! Aruba is where we stayed also but not that close to the bridge! so convenient! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Hi, Keala!!! You were so right about CBR being wonderful!

Signing onto your TR. Can't wait to hear about more of your trip!

:welcome: Glad to have you here!

Yay for your room being ready! :woohoo: CBR looks so nice! I might need to add it to my list of possible future resorts! :thumbsup2

You should definitely add it to your list! It was a lovely place to stay!

Here just found you can't wait to hear about the parks we are going in Sept. for a few days :wizard:

:welcome: Are you doing Free Dining?

Looks like you had a beautiful location!!

Can't wait to hear about the waiters! :rolleyes1

We had a great location!

Ah, the waiters...how I miss them! :rotfl:

You slid that update in yesterday and I missed it! Well just read now, and gee, it looks like someone reserved the whole resort! I didn't see a soul in those photos! It was like you were by yourself! I often notice that at Disney resorts .. you can feel really alone, or really "squished!" :crowded: Nice pictures that Chelsea took!

The only part of the resort that ever felt really busy was the main pool area, and even that wasn't too bad. It was nice to escape from the crowds at the park and enjoy the peace at the resort!

Oh that was too funny about the waiters... Well that is one way to get a teenage girl to cooperate!!! The grounds at CBR are so pretty!

Exactly! Charles knew what it would take to make Chelsea happy with the decision. LOL!

Jackie, You have one fast-moving TR. I can't miss a day or I'm pages behind. :surfweb: Just out of curiosity, did you get any photos of your room interior at CBR? I'd love to see one if you did.

I didn't -- I guess in all the excitement of the arrival, I completely forgot. There are some pictures taken in the room during the week, but I don't know if it gives a good sense of the room.

So, are you doing the Backstage Safari with your DS? That would be so neat!

I had offered up the Segway tour to him. He is not as big of an animal lover as my DD is. He does not really want to spend 3 hours of park time on the segway tour and that price tag for both of us is steep. We are going to stop by Innoventions early in the trip for the free demo and if he likes it and wants more there is a 1 hour I believe. :thumbsup2

I have done the Segway at work. We have a nature preserve in our County park and rec. and we were guinea pigs when they started offering segway tours for the public. I think My DS would like it, but he was a bit bicycle phobic so I am sure the thought of it makes him nervous but I am sure he will have fun.

You should definitely add it to your list! It was a lovely place to stay!

:welcome: Are you doing Free Dining?

Yeap we got the free tickets for volunteering and doing the free dinning we are staying at pop Because we just wanted to do counter service (it is the first time hubby and I are goin alone we usely go with my parents) so we are staying at pop. Wanted to stay at ak but you have to do delux dinning.

When in Sept?? I am there from the 4th - 11th.

I think a Segway tour would be a ton of fun!!! I hope you can talk DS into it! He does get a really cool pin! ;)

Pop is such a fun place to stay!!! :goodvibes

July 18, 2010: Part Three

We decided to drive to the Beach Club and use the back entrance of Epcot. We simply told the guard we were going to eat at Beaches and Cream. Connor was so funny because it really bothered him that we had not told the truth. He said it made him feel dirty.

Since it was so hot outside, I thought it was a brilliant idea to walk through the Beach Club to the very last entrance by Epcot. Take it from me, that is not a good idea. We should have gone right through the lobby to the back doors. Instead, we wandered the very long hallways that twisted and turned before reaching the quiet pool and exiting out onto the walkway.

I have to say, I love that private entrance of Christine’s and Anita’s! So convenient to World Showcase!

007.jpg

As soon as we reached bag check, it started raining. We dashed to England and the shops -- Charles was on a mission to find World Cup soccer t-shirts. He also wanted to see what England had in the way of Chelsea soccer team shirts (his favorite team). He didn’t see anything that grabbed him in England, so we decided to head towards Germany and the African Outpost (Anita had told us there was a large selection of shirts at both those places).

The rain had stopped while we were in England, but as soon as we hit the bridge to France, the heavens just opened up! We were soaked by the time we reached France and opted to wait out the rainstorm under the umbrellas where there are normally parasols and silhouette cutters (they had packed up and retreated indoors).

While we waited and watched the rain, Charles happened to glance over and see the Grey Goose stand. He turned to me and said, “I am getting a drink while we are waiting. Do you want one?”

As if he needed to ask!

He came back with Grand Marnier ones -- when I mentioned that he hadn’t come back with Grey Goose slushies, he said he told the woman the right ones, but she must have misunderstood him -- I wasn’t complaining, though -- it was a drink, and it was yummy!

While we enjoyed our drinks, I took some pictures.

The time:

My drowned rats:

Watching the storm pass is much easier with a drink in hand:
009-1.jpg

The rain ended quickly (as I suspected it would), and we continued our trek to Germany.

The village looked very idyllic.
013.jpg

But what’s this??? A horrible train wreck!!!
012.jpg

Chelsea snapped a couple of photos in Germany. There are lots of shots of the back of my head on this trip.
066.jpg

067.jpg

Charles browsed through the Germany shops, but nothing jumped out at him, so we headed to Africa where my picky, indecisive husband decided to think about what shirts he wanted.

Out of nowhere came a shamin, “It is time to find your true self,” he said to me in a Rafiki-like voice!
014.jpg

Finally, it was time to head to Tutto Italia for dinner which wasn’t a moment too soon since it started to rain again as soon as we stepped inside.

The foyer was crazy busy with all sorts of people checking in for their reservations, and lots trying to secure last minute seatings to escape the rain. We managed to nab a couple of seats while we waited.

Love this light fixture! I think I took a picture of it back in October, too.
017.jpg

Notice Chelsea’s birthday button is way down low on her shirt -- I had told her to put it up higher, but she refused to listen to me. It will play an important role later on.
015.jpg

Connor was happy to just sit and wait.
016.jpg

Finally, through all the chaos and the noise, I heard the maitre ‘d call out, “Jacqueline? Jacqueline, are you here?” (He pronounced it with such a lovely Italian accent.)

I jumped up and exclaimed, “Yes, yes, I am!”

It was time to be seated!!! Hurray!

July 18, 2010: Part Four

We were seated in the main dining room and thankfully, had a young waiter that made Chelsea giggle and smile with delight.

While we were browsing through the menu, I kept telling Chelsea to move her birthday button up to the top of her shirt, but she continued to refuse to listen to me. I finally gave up.

Choices! Choices!
018.jpg

The kids ordered Limonata, I ordered a Bellini, and Charles ordered a glass of red wine of some sort. My Bellini was lovely!
024-1.jpg

026-1.jpg

Charles also ordered the Ceasar salad as an appetizer, and the kids enjoyed munching on the various breads and olives.
019.jpg

021.jpg

As we were waiting on our drinks to arrive, we saw a group of Italian waiters singing “Happy Birthday” to another diner. Chelsea’s jaw dropped, her eyes widened, and in an awestruck voice she said, “Do I get that???”

I nonchalantly replied, “If they know it is your birthday…”

Notice anything different in this picture? ;)
023-1.jpg

For our entrees, Chelsea ordered the ravioli, Connor ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and Charles and I ordered the cannelloni again. Very tasty!

For dessert, Chelsea ordered the lemon cheesecake, and the boys ordered chocolate gelato. I figured I would graze off everyone’s choices.
031.jpg

030-1.jpg

Chelsea was beginning to pout a little bit and worry that she wasn’t going to be serenaded, but her fears were groundless. Soon, she was surrounded by a gaggle of Italian men singing to her and bearing some sort of chocolate mousse dessert. She was in absolute heaven! Look at that smile!!!
027.jpg

028.jpg

029.jpg

After dinner we browsed through the Italian shops, and Chelsea and I bought some Italian chocolates. They were quickly gone that night -- so delicious! The kids asked if we could go browse through the Japanese gift shop, and then, head back to the resort to go swimming. They really wanted to try out that pool, and it sounded like a fine idea to me.

Some random shots while we strolled:
032-1.jpg

033.jpg

034-1.jpg

035-1.jpg

036.jpg

Chelsea found an eyeglass case in Japan that she really liked, so we went ahead and bought it.

The Boardwalk is so pretty at night!
037-1.jpg

This time when we went back through the Beach Club, we went straight to the lobby.

Back at the resort, we changed and headed over the bridge to the pool -- the kids loved it especially the slide. Although I must confess that Chelsea was not pleased when an eleven-year-old boy “hit” on her. He would appear several times during our trips to the pool.

All in all, it had been a great day! Tomorrow would be another day at Epcot!

Souvenirs:
I decided with this trip report, I would show the souvenirs we bought each day at the end of that particular day.

There wasn’t much that first night -- the Italian chocolates which disappeared long before I thought of taking their picture, and Chelsea’s eyeglass case. I love the colors!

181.jpg

Italian boys singing and chocolate cake...sounds like Chelsea's version of a Grey Goose slushie.

What a fantastic update!! :yay: So glad you enjoyed the private entrance. Not a soul in your picture... can't beat that. But ssshhhh.... we don't want too many people to know about it. ;)

I am just tickled that the primary driver of your agenda before dinner is Charles' shopping needs. :lmao: Try as he might to convince me otherwise, I am calling him out as a Disney lover.

Yikes, look at all that rain. I can see the puddles on the ground and of course your "drowned rats." Who still look adorable, by the way. Hurrah to Charles for the cocktail suggestion! :thumbsup2 I am wondering where the "proper" slushie glasses are, though? I think they are usually plastic martini glasses?

:lmao: over the b-day button movement. You didn't raise no dummy! ;) In fact, I may have to get a b-day button myself... :rolleyes1 The cannelloni is definitely on my list for next visit and now also the chocolates.

Also adding an eyeglasses case to my souvenir wish list. Very cute.

PS- your pictures look normal to me. :confused3

Great updates! Love the look of CBR. Too bad about the rain, you feel so much more cold when you hit the A/C. Dinner and desserts look good. Great idea about souvenir pics!

I'm glad Chelsea moved her birthday button.
Serenaded by the waiters and a chocolate dessert = the perfect evening in Epcot!
Chelsea's case for her eyeglasses is so cute.
