Can anyone give me, or point out where I can find, some really good, detailed driving directions from MCO to POR but with an easy grocery stop along the way?
We are not super-fussy about which grocery store...just need some water, milk, fruit, and breakfast items.

Our plan is for me and the kids to ride DME for fun and to get our luggage transported without having to wait for it, meanwhile DH will walk straight out to the Alamo lot alone and drive the rental car to POR with a grocery stop on the way. He is being a good sport about it, but would like good detailed directions.

In case it matters we will be arriving around 4pm on a Sunday, so rush hour traffic should not be an issue.

THanks!

Have your husband exit the airport on the south entrance. Follow that access road to RTE. 417, it is a toll road, approx. 2.50, he will not need exact change.
Have him exit 417 on the RTE 536 exit. At the intersection of 536 and 535 (BIG ITERSECTION) have him take a left, there is a VERY BIG WalMart super center about a mile or so down on the right.
When he is done shopping have him exit WalMart and go left proceed to that VERY BIG intersection and take a left onto 536, there will be signs to Disney and then the specific resort/resort area.
Hope this helps.
Stay away from GOODINGS, they are a total rip off.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like that Walmart is very conveniently located along the way. Do you about how long I should tell DH he will be on 417 before exiting for 536, and about how long on 536 after the Walmart before he will start to see signs for POR? (I'm feeling a bit guilty about sending him off on his own while we take the easy way on the DME!)

Yep that's where we plan on stopping to pick up a few things instead of trying to carry them through security.

This is the info I need too. I am pretty sure this is the Super Walmart we stopped at almost 10yrs ago. If I remember, it was pretty easy to find. For some reason, I have this irrational fear of getting lost.

Me too! Thats why I am taking DME with the kids and DH gets the job of driving the rental car ;)

I found the area on a map and it does look pretty easy. It looked like you are not on 536 very long before you come to the intersection of 535 where you turn for the Walmart.

Yep, it's a quick 1min off the exit where you make the left. Then about 5 mins before you hit walmart.

On the way out just take a left onto 535 and then turn left onto world center drive. :)

Do you know if this is the walmart on Turkey Lake Road? I am trying to get an address for the GPS and this one seems to be the one you are talking about.

TIA

Here is a map of the route to and from the Walmart.
It is .6 mile from exit 6 to rt 535, and 1.2 mile to Walmart on RT 535.

When returning from Walmart to POR, return to RT 536 and take a left onto RT 536, follow it into Disney property. It becomes EPCOT Center Dr., take the third right (Downtown Disney Resort Area) onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy, left onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy and POR will be 1/2 mile on the right.
