To and from Orlando Airport questions.

We are leaving for our 10 day vacation in a few weeks. We are having an issue with getting to and from the airport to the hotel. We are staying at Pop Century. We will have Magical Express on the way home, but we are actually arriving a day earlier than our package and there is a chance we won't be able to get Magical Express when we arrive. My question is this - Does anyone know what a taxi would cost from the airport to Pop Century? If it helps, we are 4 adults and 3 kids. Thanks for your help!

Will you be adding to your POP reservation? Or at another WDW resort? If so, you can use DME. It doesn't matter how long you stay, or if you have room only or a pkg, you can still use DME.
But, if you're adding a day at an offsite resort, then you will have to use a cab or car service. And with your size group it's going to have to be a van cab. The cost should be around $50-60, plus tip.
There should be plenty at the airport.

We added a room only the day before our package starts. We were under the impression that DME was only good with a package. Is this not so?

Anyone staying at a WDW resort can use DME, no package required. It just has to be during your stay, not before or after so you are all set.

Just call and make the inbound DME reservation with your one night reservation number and the return trip to your package reservation number.

I'll just restate what has already been said....anyone, anyone at all, staying at a WDW owned resort, is entitled to ride DME. As long as you are listed on a WDW resort resevation, it doesn't matter if you are staying on a pkg reservation, a room only reservation or a DVC reservation...you get to ride DME.
Call today and have DME added to your first night stay. Have fun!!

I called today and added DME to our reservations with no problem. Just used our room only reservation number for arrival and our package reservation number for departure. Thank you to everybody who answered me! I appreciate all the help!
