PTR Oct 2010 - An Aussie returns: Back home and TR started (11/02)

Well, Southwest doesn't charge for luggage, as long as it's under 50 pounds. I'm not going to bring the big cape, though, because you would sweat to death in it. Plus, I think you're shorter than I am, and it's a little too long on me, so it'd definitely be too long on you. But again, it's really heavy. We use it for Halloween here because it's usually chilly and rainy.

Sounds like a good plan to me! And yes, I would (not) bet my bottom dollar that you are taller than me....most people are.

Good Morning America Good Evening Aussie... As far as a MNSSHP "costume" (and considering your length of trip) I would just wear a Disney shirt of some kind (even buy the 2010 MNSSHP tshirt which will be for sale on Main St in the stores) and change into that. That's probably what Fred & I will do...too hot to wear anything elaborate.

Yes, you're right. I need to consider the weather....mmmm.

I'll bring a short sleeved black top; and with glow sticks ..... should about cover it for the weather. I have a lightweight black skirt; which will also be fine for the weather. This way, if I find some Disney tshirt that I like (for the right price), I can mix and match. :thumbsup2

I haven't updated this thread with the outcome of the '(not) little talk' with DS.

All cool on the downunder Western Front! He took it relatively well and has compiled a shopping list for me and DH:
1. Bakugan from Japan
2. Bakugan from Japan
3. Bakugan from Japan
4. Bakugan from Japan
5. Bakugan from Japan

Anyone getting the feeling that I'm going to have to stop by Japan when I'm at the World?

But I'm still (NOT) having the Fugu fish!

So happy this trip is really taking on its own form now ;)
Last year for MNSSHP my niece and I both wore Halloweenish t-shirts and just shorts....it was sooooo hot...It was fun to see all of the people dressed up but not in that heat! We saw The Incredibles family....think hot spandex/tights, many in full princess gowns etc. I don't have a calendar near me right now never mind I just looked on the bottom of my screen of my Macbook and duhhh it's right there:sad2: I think the date I was planning for is the 26th.....I leave VERY early on the 29th but that it is not out of the question to go on that night.

It would be fun to have another drink in the Cave and stroll along WS....although we will be eating MUCH different things :rotfl2:

Nothing better than a child that is easy to please :goodvibes

I'd like to know if anyone thinks that they have one of those kind of children.....:lmao:

Okay, I have to be the one to ask, apparently... What's Bakugan?

What Is Bakugan?. Bakugan is a range of toys and a trading card game based on the Cartoon Network animated show "Bakugan"

Ah, okay :) Thanks!

Asked and Answered!

:scared1: Yikes! How did they cope? I'm going to be a shorts or skirt and TShirt person; so I'm really pleased to hear that other Dis-ers do dress like this too.

The Cave??? I don't think I could cope with another one of those "well made" tequilas! I was practically floating out of the Cave the last time....perhaps a more sedate mildly alcoholic slushie might be more in keeping with the things that we will be EATING!! popcorn::

Seriously - What are your plans? It would be nice to hook up again?

This is all becoming more NOT not than not :)
Indeed Halloween isn't an Aussie thing...I've never been trick or treating etc...but I LOVE the decorations.
I mean my favourite attraction is the Haunted Mansion....so I have a serious spooky streak :lmao:

Halloween is like the spooky version of Christmas. I'd love to go to MNSSHP some day.

Hope you get to find some good flights soon! To make it even less not ;)

Hello Queenie! Hope you've been well. Yes...it's definitely more a not not than not trip, isn't it?

I'm still waiting for DH to book his flight! :headache: And then we'll just pay..... whatever for my ticket.

(And before you say it...Remember one of my original posts.....I don't nag him. There's absolutely no point. This way, he's happy, I'm happy!)

Hey there Sharon! I can't believe that I missed you starting this PTR! Thanks to your handy links though I'm all caught up - sounds like your "maybe" trip turned into a "definitely" trip, congrats!

As for dressing up for MNSSHP, just do what you are most comfortable with. I took Jared to one, he dressed as Captain Jack and I just wore a POTC t-shirt. There were lots of kids in costume and some adults, but there were more adults there like me in just a shirt that fit the theme of the night.

I don't really have any well laid out plans per se:scared1: Really just my ADR's which I will work around where to go from there....
23rd Jiko
24 Brown Derby dinner
25 Le Cellier late lunch
27 Bistro

I left the 26 and 28 open because I don't know which of those days I want to do MNSSHP :confused3

Will you be on your own mostly during the days? We will definitely have to make plans to meet up again when it gets closer :goodvibes

Oh and yes floating was a good term for how I felt after leaving the Cave. It was like a shock to go back above ground and join the masses. We went back to the hotel and the pool because I needed to detox!! :rotfl:
