An Aussie's Journey. Our final meal before coming home (food porn)....the last post!

I love the one of your family with Pooh and Tigger :) So cute!

I agree that's a beautiful one :goodvibes

Those are some great pictures!

Your photopass pics turned out so good! I really like the Soarin one. I have to go back and catch up on the end of your trip since I have been MIA!!!

Great Photopass Pictures!:thumbsup2

THANKS!!

Same Snow White I met!

And was she sweating? I felt sorry for her. She looked like she was going to literally melt away in front of me....and when I remarked that she must be hot...she did the Snow White thing and said "Oh No, I'm not hot".....:rotfl2:

I know poor girl! She was sooo nice! I loved her! I felt so horrible for her. But at least it wasn't like 6 hours standing out there just about 30 minutes or so I think.

Wow...they keep getting better!

You certainly got some great ones! Well worth the price of the CD!:goodvibes

Great photopass pictures :thumbsup2 Mine didn't come out too well this year :(

Thanks Clare. Hope you've been well!

Where's the Donald one from!! Where does he dress like that???
SOOO cute :thumbsup2

I found that Donald in Frontierland, MK . Isn't his outfit great?

Me too! :)

This is my favorite one so far of individual shots.BIG smile Sharon !.I'm guessing up at Camp Minnie/Mickey in AK?

Actually, would you believe Frontierland in MK; near where you turn to head to the "viewing platform" for Splash Mountain?

Thanks! Yes, our family shots turned out well with photopass. I was very happy (but then my DH and DS were more than happy to take the time out to queue and pose for the shots :rolleyes1).

That's a cute photo. We did see him and Chip N Dale in the area...long queues, so we gave them a miss.

More? Wow...you truly did score some great ones this trip!:goodvibes

Thanks...and we got some good ones with the extended family as well. I haven't asked them for permission to post; so I'm just limiting to just "us".

We did rather well out of photopass this time...and there may be one or two more sets coming up ;)

Thanks.
You might notice there aren't many in the background. We were on a morning fastpass stampede and he was just coming out and I stalked him :yay:

You really did get great photos.
Hey you know that fountain...they look like angel wings...

Thanks.

I thought that EXACT same thing and then I remembered the movie "Michael" that John Travolta was in (late 1990's ? ), one of my favorite movies (makes you laugh & cry )

[Up next - Final food porn - from California]

After the Illuminations cruise, we were all a little sad as it was our last night at the World. It was time to come home; and truth be told, I was ready to head home.....I was still feeling sick-ish and ready to come home to my own bed.

But first, we were heading to Southern California to visit my dad's cousin and stay for a few nights with her. My aunt and I are particularly close in thinking and mindset; so it is always a joy to catch up with her whenever I can. Her and her husband draw me to SoCal like a magnet and as much as possible, we will always schedule a longer stopover to visit and chat.

We got up early and finished packing. It was sad to leave BCV and we had come to think of our villa and POR as our Disney home.

We caught ME to the airport. Check-in and the flight to LAX was really smooth and event-free.

We had decided to stay at my aunt’s place and the rest of the family decided to stay at Anaheim. And we had planned one extended-extended family dinner together.

My aunt chose a Chinese restaurant nearer Anaheim. We decided to order one of the banquets and here’s what we ate.

We started with Sang Choi Pow, fresh lettuce cups with a meat filling.

I think this was a pepper/garlic scallop dish; although it does look like prawns…

P5160242.jpg

This is definitely the prawn dish!

P5160243.jpg

We had yummy lobsters!

P5160244.jpg

This was the next course….vegetables.

P5160245.jpg

Followed by Crispy Skin Chicken.

P5160246.jpg

And then the Tofu, Ma Poh style.

P5160247.jpg

No Chinese banquet is complete without fish.

P5160248.jpg

We also had the special friend rice.

P5160249.jpg

Both desserts were typical Chinese “sweet soups” and they tasted overly sweet to me.

P5160252.jpg

There was 12 of us for dinner and the bill came to about US$200, including tip. To us Aussies….an absolute bargain!

And, as always, we had a great time visiting my aunt.
