An Aussie's Journey. Our final meal before coming home (food porn)....the last post!

Awww, yay, it looks like you had a wonderful birthday :)

Thanks. I did! It's a nice way to remember this birthday.

What a beautiful way to spend your birthday! That cake looks wonderful how special what DH did :goodvibes My family has had many cakes for birthdays at WDW and I have to agree with you, they were always delish ! Can't wait to see photopass pics !

If only I could have brought that cake back with me.....

Wow!!! You really know how to do things with style :)
Love the first pic of DS...
Cake looks AWESOME!!!

Thanks! It really was a great cake.

Wow! what a great way to spend your day though! That's awesome and I love the cake! Yum!

:thumbsup2 Well, you can always get one when you next go...

Oh my gosh, that cake looks so good! How thoughtful of your DH to order that for you, mine would NEVER think to do something like that at Disney.

We did a Wishes cruise in December and loved it, reading about the problem people had with the smoke on the Illuminations cruise is what pushed me over the edge in deciding to do the Wishes one instead.

Yup. My DH is a prince!
I think I would recommend Wishes instead of Illuminations now. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay the extra money for a Wishes cruise with MUSIC and knew I didn't want to do a Wishes cruise without music; which is why I went for the Illuminations one instead. Oh well....maybe there may be a next time :rotfl:

What a great way to spend your Birthday! And what a super-nice touch with the Birthday Banner and balloons...that was great that Disney threw that in there for you!

How great as well that your husband and son surprised you with that gorgeous cake! You certainly do have 2 princes in your family!:goodvibes

The photos look great from the cruise...too bad about the smoke. Although I guess you never know from nite to nite which way the wind will blow.

Seeing the fireworks from the boat must have been truly special!:goodvibes

I haven't been commenting, but I have been reading along the whole way. The Illuminations Cruise sounds neat, but I'm the only one who really likes it, not going to happen! :lmao:

I've been enjoying the report!

Thanks Trish. Yes, all the extended family really enjoyed the fireworks from the cruise. We couldn't do anything about the smoke but it was a perfect ending to the WDW trip!

I've been meaning to ask...
Is your DH a Disney Nut? Or just enjoys it...
Have you been gradually increasing his Disney experiences? Or were you both Disney fans when you met?

I just wonder sometimes....lol....
So many people seem to have a 'reluctant' spouse :lmao:

It is clear the DS is born and bred Disney...well done with the brain washing :rotfl:

DH is a Disney Fan. He was a fan when we met and had even been to WDW way before me. He's not completely nutty; but he enjoys the rides.
He's a real prince....he knows that DS and I love Disney (yes, I made sure it was genetically coded into him; no need for brain washing :rotfl:); so he's happy if we're happy.

To be perfectly honest, we're both outdoor FREAKS and just love the National Parks. Unfortunately for us, DS just hasn't picked up that gene (yet). So, we normally try to mix the two things for our holidays....and will be balancing things more in favour of more time at National Parks next time.

Thanks to information gathered from the DisBoard, I had decided to take up the Photopass CD pre-order special in April. I'm so glad I did and once again....DisBoard information comes through trumps again.

We didn't actively seek out Photopass Photographers but every time we came across one, we would stop and get our photos taken. We didn't end up with a heap of photos...but there were still more than 250 shots.

By the time I finished editing, I ended up with close on 350 photos.

You'll be pleased to know that I don't plan on putting EVERY ONE of the 350 photos up; just a small selection over the next couple of posts, as I load them up into photobucket...without commentary.

Love the photos! Where was the one with Baloo taken?

I'm pretty sure that is in Animal Kingdom. I have one with the same background.
There is this little area with a cover and AC...and they stand under that :lmao: Tough life eh!
ETA - these are my versions - 1 2

Nice photos!:thumbsup2
4 down 346 to go ;)

I love that border that you put on the pic with Baloo and King Louie, I don't think I've seen that one before - it's very cute!

Photopass the best thing to come along since..Mickey ! Pictures so far are great. Sooo worth every penny ! Don't you just love having you, DH & DS together in pictures ? Priceless

Thanks!

It was in Animal Kingdom. When you walk from Africa to Asia, there's an area off the side (before the Flights of Wonder) and Baloo and Louie were there.

Yes...very cute, isn't it? I was pretty happy to find it!

Absolutely. I think this is the first trip we've had where we have SOOOO many pictures of the 3 of us together. Usually it's only 2 out of the 3.

Your photopass pics turned out so good! I really like the Soarin one. I have to go back and catch up on the end of your trip since I have been MIA!!!
